I don't think so, everything I'm saying from here on out might be totally wrong but my theory is that all of the years prior to his wife cheating did not help towards the goal of him finally sleeping with his girl best friend, and that only the year she had spent with him after his wife started cheating being the only person of the opposite sex in his life who helped him through that horrible period of time helped the two get together romantically or atleast sexually, I'm not gonna elaborate much on my own story here but I've also experienced a horrible period in my life in which there was this girl that I was talking to a lot during that period which eventually resulted in me seeing as her as somewhat of an escape from that harsh reality which made me develop initial romantic feelings for her which after dating her for a while became more concrete based on who she was rather than the reason I developed the feelings for her(seeing her as an escape from the harsh period I was going through) and if you ask me, if it weren't for the terrible period I was going through and her being there for me through it I don't think I would have ever developed feelings for her. ps: I knew the girl for 3 years beforehand and considered her one of my best friends

That's the difference between being loyal/ unconditionally loving someone and being a selfish cheater. He loved his wife and obviously stayed true to her and didn't give in to primal and selfish needs with Nina (if he ever had them whilst being with his wife). He stayed for his family and never gave up. So what if after the divorce he got with Nina, she was obviously there his whole life because she cared for him and not just to sleep with him, and i imagine was a massive emotional support for him following it all. Things work out in mysterious ways, but he did nothing wrong.

And from what I've seen other people go through... less than 700 dollars a month for up to a year is WAY LOWER than what the average guy has to pay. Most guys I've seen usually have to pay for the woman's mortgage/rent ON TOP OF utilites AND food allowance. Basically, she can divorce you and move her new boyfriend in for free. The sad part is, even with the overwhelming evidence of HER being the problem, he still even had to pay a single cent. God forbid she claims you were abusive too. For what I understand you can't really use evidence on a legal case that you obtained in such ways, that's the "Fruit of the poisonous tree" principle. For example if the law is broken or if your rights are broken (which is one and the same) you can in fact record people and use it as evidence. At least the moment of the incident. For example if you see someone beating another human or animal publicly, you can record this without walking to them and asking "excuse me sir can I record you abusing this living creature and show it to the polis?' - Of course you could call police also, but in some cases the subject may attempt to run away. So recording him doing the thing and then running/driving away could be allowed potentially. In USA there are cams everywhere, but in other countries not so much. Also not in buildings or places such as toilet. Similarly you can likely record if someone attacked you or acted hostile or actually did something to you. So in general such a rule doesn't apply universally. I'm not sure about divorce matters and cheating, but adultery is a crime, isn't it? I think it could be allowed depending on the judge. One way or another one has to gain proof of cheating, and it wouldn't be acquired willingly if the other side lies. Likely his judge would make their call here, if he was real. Lastly you could likely record if for example a more serious crime happened in your home. Like violence, psychological torment or wrong behaviors towards an offspring. There are many dramatic videos of civilians freaking out, while the police does nothing and explains that it's okay to vlog in public - people can record in front of someone's business if no client info is seen, and no one can force them to leave (but they can be asked to leave a building).
