    • actually, WEC drivers swap seats with others, Nascar drivers must do the entire race without getting out of the car. Talladega, Daytona are 800km long, the Coca Cola 600 is 970km long.

    • Stumble NZ my point is that WEC drivers have to swap places, they do not actually drive all the race in one sitting, Nascar drivers on the other hand, do. the Daytona 500 lasts about 4 hours, WEC drivers are forbidden to drive more than 180minutes straight if Im not mistaken. Im not saying that WEC drivers are in no good physical condition compared to the NASCAR counterparts, the opposite, (maybe).

    • @@michaeldeel7998 I don't know anything about rally but isn't it so that in group b there were barely any limits to how you could tune your vehicle? If so then the modern ones could be even faster then they already are.

    • @@michaeldeel7998 problem was not in speed modern technologies makes modern rally cars mush faster than b class in the 80`s because of superior suspension cars are much more stable and controllable because of that drivers can be more aggressive on a track problem was in low stability and powerful engines audiqutro had 550hp engine modern day rally cars have at max 320hp and still modern rally cars with almost less than twice hp have mush faster time on track so you can see how far has technology advanced

    • I cringe so much when I see spectators today standing in dangerous spots, particularly parents who place their kids in danger. Group b was largely cancelled due to the spectators behaving like retards, so let's not make that happen again. A significant number of politicians in the west hate motorsport with a passion and will jump on any excuse to cancel races.

  • Everytime I'm going watching a rally I feel like a kid again, these guys in their racing suits, gloves and helmets flying past me is just wowing. They surely are my biggest heros, and even though I own a rallycross car and drive at amateur races every now and then, these guys are just a way different level.
