For the military parachute one: He deployed his reserve, the main canopy didnt fix itself from a cigarette roll. He cant cut away his main canopy in order to clear the way for his reserve as its not a freefall chute, he'd have to activate both canopy release assemblies. Which you wouldnt do. You simply dont have a lot of time to mess around other than deploying your reserve (looks like he had maybe 17 seconds as he left the aircraft before hitting the ground). Finally, his reserve prevented his death but my man more than likely landed hard as hell and hopefully just got some bruises. Sorry for the long explanation, hope you guys have an awesome day.

i keep forgetting that jetpacks exist so whenever i see one used as a practical application in real-life scenarios im always amazed
"Practical" is a bit of a stretch tbh I mean that video/program in itself is a few years old, and AFAIK, it was scrapped due to the logistics behind it. In reality there's very few instances that would warrant paramedics where this role would suffice. 9/10 times when paramedics are involved it requires medevac, or at the very least, basic assistance leaving the area - which he cannot help with being one man encumbered by a machine on his back. And if it's a simple wound that _doesn't_ require medevac or assistance - well, there's probably a very firm chance it didn't require this level of emergency services... Nor can they carry an excess of equipment that would allow them to service a deteriorating condition or a wound that is much more severe than they were initially led to believe, which is a _huge_ benefit of helicopters Basically the role starts and ends with being an aerial pharmacist/nurse, which doesn't make much sense. In theory they could provide aid to a patient while a helicopter is on route, and while that would be a very useful position when time is of the essence, it's still a bit limited to justify
@@Patrick.Weightman Bleh, they could carry a few thermal blankets, a couple bottles of water, some gauze bandages, and a few tampons. Before folks laugh at tampons, they are also useful for bullet/stab wounds bleeding out in an emergency. Even with such a light load, a jetpack medic could mean the difference of time between life vs. death.
@@chapterseventeen1913 You've clearly never read or studied actual survival guides.
@@JAYDOG1337A Nobody said tampons are a perfect or permanent solution to deep gash wounds. But they are lightweight, small profile in a medic pack, and can help save blood loss while getting the victim to a proper hospital. Hell, what do you think they are made for? To prevent blood leakage..
@@JAYDOG1337A By the way, tampons aren't suggested for surface wounds, they aren't a good substitute for bandages. Tampons are suggested as an emergency temporary solution to deep gunshot wounds or stabbing wounds. You really should study alternative emergency options, not everyone has a proper first aid box in their trunk.

Everyday, us humans learn something new. Today, we were given the lesson of “Do Not Microwave Eggs”
😂
i mean the egg was packing energy and reacted to the knife lol
Going back in time. All the wall to the Stone Age.
I learned it the hard way one morning about 12 years ago when I ran out of boiled eggs and wanted to just make one really quick so I heated up an egg inside a glass of water. While I was getting dressed I heard an explosion go off. The exploding egg had so much force it shattered the glass and cracked the tempered glass rotating tray in half.
oh.. is that the lesson? i thought it was "if you're going to be a cat, at least make the jump, bro.."
To make a Japanese-style "hot spring" egg, I microwave my eggs with half a cup of hot water. Before microwaving, I use a chopstick to gently poke the yolk, which prevents pressure from building up inside. I then set the microwave for 30 seconds, and voila! You get an amazing, perfectly cooked egg that's silky-smooth and delicious.
2:38 I can't believe the thing to "get" was the guy on the ceiling. That was the FIRST thing I noticed
You generally don't pay attention to background as much and instead look at the moving parts. Yes, that is not the case for everyone, woopty doo.

“Oh no there’s someone stuck in an avalanche!!” “SICK! let’s make a video!”
Drones are such a gorgeous invention. They deliver footage, no person and no other device could ever make. That vulcano recording was insane. I mean, almost nobody of us has ever been close to lava, but it is unbelievably hot there, the air has probably over 100°C. I am amazed, this thing could function and fly there - and even make it back to the pilot after getting hit by freaking molten rock! Whoever manufactured this drone needs to use this footage for advertising.
Yeah, I couldn't believe it was operating at all!! But on top of that, it got hit by lava and STILL KEPT RECORDING! At least for a bit! I didn't think it made it back, I assumed they had it steam at the same time or some sort of cloud recording :0 I can't believe it then flew back to the owner 🤯

You always jump with a reserve. If you don't feel the main chute unfurl, it's the metal handle on your chest. Had a buddy tie a crucifix to his reserve line, because if his reserve failed, "I'd like to curse the man responsible before I met him"
Like the other guy said; one never jumps without a second, reserve shoot for in case the first has problems. But yeah, I imagine you take your main one working for granted after a few times doing it as it is; and actually needing to use the second one must be quite the scare. And imagine the fear in those seconds while you're waiting to see if the reserve will work correctly or not - it's your last hope...

Thats is so insanely untrue… crack an egg into a mug put it in the microwave with a paper towel over the top, put it on for anywhere between 10-20 seconds. Easy sunny side up eggs. Never in my 28 years have i ever seen one explode or make a mess of any kind. Dont know what the fuck you guys are doing wrong… but quit spreading false information.

They're getting air dropped which automatically pulls their parachutes for them
Chuck Norris once went skydiving with a broken parachute and reserve shoot. He returned them the next day for a full refund.

1:46 Drone Operator: Ben Kenobi The next video: drone falls into lava. Ya sure the operator wasn't Anakin Skywalker?
Lol but you underestimate my power😈😈😈
The fact that the drone pilots name (in the paramedic jetpack scene) was ben kenobi is quite something..
1:45 I love that Obi Wan was the one controlling the drone 😂
1:36 Brilliant drone operator name "Ben Kenobi". He certainly does have the high ground 😸
You underestimate my power😈😈
@@Avigail044Don’t try it!

The comedic potential for paramedics wearing jet packs is unlimited
I like how you think
someone *please* put the jet pack joyride music over that clip - but all jokes aside it’s pretty incredible how they can do that now (the dude’s probably got an insane center of gravity)
@@Fi6ment I hope someone cultured enough blasts the Jetpack Joyride theme while operating one lol
@@reptiliannoizezz.413 instead of approaching sirens letting you know help is on the way all you hear is the jetpack joyride song being absolutely blasted through some dude’s speakers

0:19 You'd believe this to be played in reverse, until you see pedestrians walking forward 😯
That sprinter winning the parents race has the same energy as those people with great voices oversinging "Happy birthday" just to show off.
Jacob always has some of the wildest aerial tricks I've seen. With knives and with hoop body-tricks, that guy is like the Superman of flipping ish
Brother?
@@johnjohnson9431 I’m telling you, you can find your family on KZhead and they don’t even care fam, it’s all good tho, everyone lives in their own Microverse anyway, and that’s not a bad thing, wish we could be more connected but it’s not the case, So just find your own Tribe Mr. John Johnson, 🦾 they are out there. Hakuna Matata!
GO JACOB THE ACROBAT! That was one of his simpler tricks too.
The look in the cat's face when she said, "jump dude."😂
He was like "What the hell do you think I am trying to do?"
I love the "Oh, sorry." And then he goes back to trying to line up a jump.
it's a very human-like expression
0:15 I never seen a cat making that face before 😂
That cat's look of, "Could u stfu?" was everything to me after the, "Jump dude."
1:19 is what impeccable technique looks like. True goat
That was very dangerous for the dog, wasn't it?
@@FunnyMemesToday that dog has resilience and determination tho
