Second of all, when Mike Tyson says to Lennox Lewis "I'll eat your children", we love him. When Conor talks about riding horseback into a favella in Brazil (which is a historical atrocity of colonialism) then people are okay. When people say "I'll kill him" etc etc then that's fine but talking about wives and children (who literally are unharmed) is somehow a problem. Y'all need a backbone.

So he started acting a fool and sacrificed his reputation so that he could continue being the financial pillar for his family that he is today. People who have decided to take full responsibility for themselves and the people around them know the sacrifice that it takes. I completely understand being in a situation where you feel like being yourself isn't enough, so you have to put this mask on in order to get closer to your goals. It's psychologically damaging. Two conflicting statements. Regardless he chooses to go too far. Doesn't have to. No one asks him to or tells him to and even if that were case he would still be acting that way on his own. The fact that it's on his own accord that he goes too far speaks to how and who he is as a person.
