    • freestyle wrestling becose of partere rule, wrestlers are better on the ground judo is better for doing takedowns, but once you are on the ground freestyle wrestlers dominate.Theres no other olympic sport that you are put in bad position(partere rule) during game for passivity .Thats why MMA is so interesting becose you cant win with just 1 martial art, but in my opinion if you whant to be good on the ground in MMA you need freestyle wrestling +brazilian jiujitsu, so you will be able to make takedowns and put presure when you are on the grownd (wrestling) and eventualy lock em out.

  • As a Wrestler myself. I can say that khabib is right. Judo is very sleek. Opponents could easily see the wrestling takedown setup, or offensive wrestling techniques. But judo techniques are very hard to distinguish. You can even see the opponent setup for judo throw. Khabib uses his judo very effectively. When we failed to take single leg/double leg takedown then he uses judo leg swipe and judo throw to take opponents down. I wish I could learn judo. But tutors are not available in my city.

He didn't say that Judo is a superior sport. He said that 170 something countries compete in Judo and hence the climb to the top of that mountain is far steeper.
