When I was in college, I often went to see her live performance (I am a Japanese). It's my good old memory. Now I am amazed at the number of views of this song, which is over 7 million. Meiko still lives in the hearts of many people.

The bassline is something else.

I remember in my third grade, my mom would pick me up from school and she would be playing this so loud in her car. I would get a little embarrassed because my classmates would tell me my mom is coming because they can hear the song playing from the distance lol.

1288万回再生されてる… この時代にはシティポップなんてジャンルはなかったけど、アニメのクロージングや何気ないTVCMとかでもファンキーでメロウなポップスが溢れていました。いまのようにKZheadなどインターネットがない、昭和の古き良きおおらかな時代でした。色褪せない名曲！

Where is she now? Meiko originally wanted to be an idol like Akina Nakamori. She appeared on an audition program, but unfortunately she was not selected and gave up on becoming an idol once and for all. She then entered a music school where she studied composition and she became an outstanding singer-songwriter. In this way, Meiko has the ability to open up her own life on her own. Therefore, it can be considered that her current state of completely staying away from the media is also due to her strong will. She was aiming to be an idol, so maybe she doesn't want to expose her current appearance to the world.
