Many of you saw my brutal evisceration of flat earth con man David Weiss. Friend to the channel FTFE asked me to come on his show for a lengthy analysis of all the idiocy that came out of Weiss's mouth during that exchange, and we decided to cut together a little highlights reel from that discussion, complete with additional graphics just to really drive home how stupid Weiss is. Here are the five dumbest talking points he put forward. Enjoy!

    • To explain why this is stupid: Left and right only describe positions relative to the orientation of your own body. East and west are not relative to your body. They are relative to either the magnetic poles of the Earth, or the rotation of the Earth around its axis. Either way works, and the magnetic poles hold true even if you reject a spherical model of Earth. The sun rises in the magnetic east and sets in the magnetic west, regardless of your body's orientation. That's why it can rise on your left one day, and on your right the next. The sun's trajectory across the sky has not changed. Only your orientation has changed. As another poster said, you are not the centre of the universe. The sun does not revolve around you.

And for this idiot and all others that say the atmosphere is in a container (dome, firmament or whatever else they claim) I just want to see them go up in a airplane to 30 or 40 thounds feet and de-pressureize the plain and not use supplemental oxygen. • The part about 24 hours sun is kinda funny to me because im Swedish. You just have to travel up north here and you can see the sun all day long. It never sets in places like Kiruna. Its just as light during the day as the night. So he can just travel to Sweden to see the sun for 24 hours straight. It happens between may and July. Its a really wierd feeling because if you wake up during the night you get so confused on what time it is, is it morning or did you just go to bed? Its just as bright. And if he dont like the sun, just come during winter and you only get to see the sun for a short time during the day, its mostly just dark. So yeah, no problem seeing the sun 24 hours here. And Sweden is nice during that time, so just for him to buy a ticket 😊

(Take three unit-length beatings of a star A, B, C over two decent time intervals. Calculate N′ = (C−B)⨯(B−A). • There are many scientific concepts that rely on the Earth being round, even though flat-earthers may not realize it. Here are a few examples: * **Navigation:** Ships and airplanes use the Earth's curvature to navigate. If the Earth were flat, they would not be able to travel long distances without getting lost. * **Time zones:** Time zones are based on the Earth's rotation. If the Earth were flat, there would be no need for time zones. * **Solar eclipses:** Solar eclipses only happen because the Earth's shadow is round. If the Earth were flat, solar eclipses would not be possible. * **Gravity:** Gravity is what keeps us on the ground. If the Earth were flat, gravity would not work the same way. * **Seasons:** Seasons are caused by the Earth's tilt. If the Earth were flat, there would be no seasons. These are just a few examples of the many scientific concepts that rely on the Earth being round. Flat-earthers may not realize it, but they are benefiting from these concepts every day. In addition to the scientific concepts listed above, there are also many everyday technologies that rely on the Earth being round. For example, GPS, maps, and weather forecasting all rely on the Earth's curvature. Even the way we communicate with each other over long distances relies on the Earth being round. So, the next time you see a flat-earther, you can remind them that they are benefiting from the round Earth, even if they don't realize it.

For those who don't know, Corundum is Ruby (red Corundum) and Sapphire (originally blue Corundum but now used for all colors other than red).
