  • Will be interesting to see your experience with these multi-purpose chickens. They're a big topic when it comes to egg farming in Europe as it's not allowed to kill male chicks anymore. They have to raise the males, too, which is why farmers are looking more into these breeds now. Also can't wait for all of the emu eggs to be done! 💜

    • Actually that law is the reason why you are finding more sex linked breeds on the market. They shine a laser into the egg and based off the color they determine if it is male or female, the males are separated and removed from the incubation process. There are a lot of very interesting animal rights laws over in Europe thou and a lot of great tech has come about to ensure the comfort and happiness of animals over there.

  • Be so, soo careful. My local (well established & well run) farm had a heat lamp set ITSELF alight and their entire barn burnt down, without going into graphic detail, it was the Lamb & Goat barn… 💔

  • Chase at Recreational Homestead sells awesome Breese chicks. Great family run business. I have 21 chicks from Chase that I'm tracking the weights on and at 13 weeks of age they are averaging 4.7 pounds with the Largest Rooster at 6lbs 8.8ozs and the largest Hen at 4lbs 5.6ozs.

  • Actually your environment for the chicks are far better than many years ago, when I'm a child and the chicks are crowded in a box selling for a few bucks, and end up in someone's home without a nice warm place, usually die without fully growing up.

  • Hi I’m 12 and I have been subscribed to your channel for over 3 years now I love your content you guys inspired me to start my own flock/farm( 56 layers 20 meat chickens 6 meat turkeys 1 rabbit 2 cats and 9 guinea hens) I have started to hatch chicks this year with the keboniks incubator you guys did a review on it. so far I’ve hatched 8 chicks( cross breeds) but I came across a problem and I’m wondering if you can help me none of the eggs hatch on their own and I don’t understand why humidity is at 65-70 and the temperature at 99.5 and I don’t understand why there having a hard time getting out.

    • Last few days you stop turning the eggs and raise humidity to 75%. You will have success. Keep trying.

  • I have bresse! I have 8 that stay for my breeding. The rest are food. I’ve never had nicer roosters though to be honest. They’re hearty, big boys but they’re nice :)
