Just be a madman and create an army of dogs for your ventures (brought like 15 dogs to a mining venture once and returned back with 3….well 2 and 1 puppy) it was brutal especially the single bridges but they survived especially my lieutenant

Be fair, that update wasn't meant to provide a lot of new content. It was one of the better updates in minecraft for different reasons.
1.15 was mainly for fixing ancient rendering issues tho?
Though 1.15 was mote focused on bugfixing and QoL changes

I wonder if they'll make more of these minor feature updates. I feel like these would be great for like single biomes or updating a mob. This update reminds me of the buzzy bee update too. It's about bug fixes, but there is a couple new things. If they keep on doing this, they can have the main updates more focused while also releasing the minor random changes that seemed to be part of every update. Seems like an interesting idea and I hope it works out.
With this minor update style, we could get a lighting update now.
Minor features updates would be the perfect way for them to add all of those promised biomes from the biome votes that we have yet to receive

10:00 why does Minecraft always do this, who would use 8 scute to repair a piece of armor when you could craft a new one with 6 All they gotta do is to just lower the requirements to 4 to fix it from 1 durability or something :/ this is just the anvil problem all over again
So far armadillo scutes drop at a good rate and you can always use a brush to get them faster. I think it's a fair trade-off because you fix the armor while it's on the dog and you don't have to dye it again. Now if you don't dye it, feel free to simply make new armor each time.
That's just how design works. It's cheaper to make a brand new fresh one then it is to keep maintaining your current personalized set that makes complete sense. If somehow 2 scutes is just too much for you, then just make a new one that's not a problem anyone else has.
This is absolutely nothing compared to the anvil problem. They’re easy af to get and don’t have weird lock-outs that say “nope can’t do that cause I say so”
It's not even that hard. It's just 2 more than armor

I hope they add small dark oak trees. They could replace the oak trees in the badlands plateau giving an reason to badlands mineshafts being made out of dark oak.
Now the those biomes are not so lonely, no more. At least we have something new to see instead of cows and pigs and sheep's and lamas walking around

Wolf armor would've been better if they just used sea turtles instead since sea turtles do basically everything armadillos do anyway

Crafting new wolf Armour is more convenient than repairing it as it uses more than 5 armadillo scutes to heal fully
It’s easier to heal your dog that way (especially in a hostile situation) vs changing their armor. Also if you have a color dye you like and don’t want to have to get two+ resources (scute and dye(s)) you can just heal what you already have!

The dog is the only mob that can survive a mace hit from world height.
Covering hoppers is standard practice for me to prevent items from dropping in. Helps that it cancels the extra checks now.
Their secretly working on adding more things but its so big that they need more time so they release this update to make us happy

This is something I don't see mentioned so I'll ask it here. Did they remove golden carrots from farmer villager? I noticed it got replaced with suspicious stew. And no this was not a new villager this was the one I used to get golden carrots

I noticed the armadillo was also in the bedland biome and also it drops the scute itself once every now and then.

I am so glad this dropped. Already I have a couple black wolves and a woods wolf. It just So happened that I was actually going diamond mining and I just happened to stumble in an old pine taiga so two black wolves easily. Additionally I have encountered the savannah so I found some armadillos. So all three wolves have armor. I even dyed one blue to identify which one is the one that I said was going to be my dog that I had in the past. He has blue armor. When I get home his name is going to be Oreo.
Now they just need to give the badlands a modern update and itd be the perfect biome

So I have a question, I updated a single player world to this new update. Tried to find an armadillo in a savanna that I already explored before the update but didn’t find any. I thought new mobs should spawn even if it’s a biome I explored before updating?

Wolf update is nice but they need to add a command whistle like R2 and up attack target R2 down to sit especially the sit for multiplayer if you hit someone’s wolf doesn’t stop till 1 of you are dead

So I heard Wattles mention that llama spit can't break armor stands, but I don't recall him mentioning the actually important projectile that no longer can break armor stands, that being shulker bullets

The thing about armadillo scute is that u can get an unlimited amout of scutes from a single armadillo. At least make it that it has drop limit each armadillo. Yes I know it uses a lot of durability but u can easily craft brush. Copper is everywhere.

It probably because of how late a big update comes out in a year there probably going to have a smaller sized one to keep people busy and then the big one sometime later. Also if people have some problems with the new mob from the mob vote the can update/ change feature in the big update.

@AidnnYT that's what they are now yeah, but before the update they were just "Scute". So now "Scutes" have been replaced by "Turtle Scute" and Armadillo Scutes were added
