My expectations, comparing it to 1.20 last year: 1) tomorrow is snapshot where we will get a definitive way to get the heavy core and not just the vault loot tables 2) next Monday is April fools snapshot, which may hint towards something idk 🤷♂️ alas hopefully we get another fire snapshot like last year and the year before 3) the next Wednesday will be another snapshot with one more feature (likely nothing too much) 4) in the next few weeks we will get the finishing touches like the menu panorama and 1.20.5 will be out, being 1.20’s final major update 5) the update will release on June 7th (mojang almost always uses June 7th for the past few years) Just my take so take it with a grain of salt
i actually think that tomorrow will be a prerelease, 1.20.5 will release on tuesday and next day we will get a big snapshot, right on time with the minecraft monthly and update name reveal. they probably want to add some features to the actual 1.21 snapshots, just like with 1.20 , otherwise 1.20.5 will practically be 1.21 and it wont be exciting. april fools snapshot will probably be a seperate thing. idk though, with all the datapack stuff they're doing, 1.20.5 could be far from release
I predict either bug fix or prerelease this week, next week april fools, with 1.20.5 later that week, then we get snapshots for the core use, announce the title, but I also want to take a risky guess and say that this update is coming out earlier than last year and the year before, sometime early may, so they can announce 1.22 on Minecraft's 15th anniversary (hopefully being something special)

After many years, we finally get wolf variants.
Why is everyone saying this update is mid. The trail chambers is litterally gonna be the best starter structure The mace is op And the wind charge is also op Edit: AND THE VAULT. If it gets added to other structures its litterally revelutionary. And the crafter is also insane
As a starter structure it's bad because you're never going to find it early game, and even then all of the loot there is extremely easy to find in other places. The entire update hinges on this one structure Maces are mediocre, and they're so niche that they're useless. The vault has bad loot, and who knows if they'll actually extend the locations. Fletching table functions were promised five years ago
@@EmperorPenguin1217 well 1. Trail chambers have enchant diamond loot and they are easy to find bc all u need is a cartographer 2. With a jump boost 2 potion you jump up to 2.5 blocks and u hit a mob it does litterally 24 damage or 12 hearts and thats not mentioning elytra’s or wind charges 3. The vault litterally have god apples, enchanted diamond tools/armor, and the heavy core for the mace and the devs are considering it to be in other structures. And yea ik they dont keep there promises but they are improving now
The problem is that we got only 5-6 good features in the course of 6 whole months

Wattles did you know that you can see the different kinds of loot you can get in that specific vault and of you time it right for a specific item for example a diamond you can get it along with about the next two or three items after that

I don’t know if this is only in bedrock edition but if a bogged is holding a sword or if it doesn’t have anything in its hands then it will give you the slowness effect

Heres my prediction: The Core will serve as a Mining Fatigue kinda Beacon and will have a very rare chance to appear as a Core room, which is also filled with Trial Spawners :) Just a random idea I had, probably not goin to happen lol, but it would be a little cool for people who dont want other people to break their building and stuff (Probably it would require some structure to activate the effect, just as building Iron Golems, normal Beacons and Ressurrectin the Ender Dragon)
So the core room is going to have a heavy core placed in the middle of the room and trial spawners everywhere?

Perhaps pointless but what if the copper grate decreased the light under it by 1, so you could use multiple layers of them to get the exact level of dim that you want in a space. That'd be a cool attention to detail considering it's not glass but currently behaves like it is.

This update is pretty good people need to be grateful
It's not a matter of gratefulness. Of course we're grateful for Minecraft, I don't think anyone will argue 1.16 was a bad update. The issue is that there hasn't been much of a substantial addition in the updates past it--and with the exception of the auto crafter--including this one. It's good if you like building or for some reason you're a psycho and love Minecraft's combat. If you like redstone the only good addition with any substance is the auto crafter, and even for exploration there's nothing added to the surface just these dinky underground dungeons that for me personally will never serve a function. So here's where gratefulness comes in: if these additions had never been added the only one really missed would be auto crafters. Everything else is incidental and could have come alongside a biome or an old structure touch up (note: singular in both cases) so of course people are going to feel a little insulted waiting a year for changes to the game they don't care for. I'm a little both, I'm insulted the only thing I have to look forward to is the auto crafter, but I must admit those tuff and copper blocks do look pretty nice. Again, that trial chamber holds absolutely 0 value to me and likely never will. The mace is cool and all, but it's so niche compared to just using an axe.
People are grateful when updates are good and we don't have to wait a year for mid content

I stopped keeping up with these updates about 2 years ago.. they are adding way to much to the game! I've been playing for 10 years
I don't know about you, but the recent updates have been insane for a builder like me, they've added so many new variants for copper and bamboo blocks, the Sculk blocks can help with mysterious vibes, and finally, WE HAVE POTS! And the new banner patterns, along with the sniffer flowers are the cherry on top

I think this update needs a few more things to really seem worthy of a whole year of work. 1. Add the Combat Snapshots, even if it’s just some of the features like the stackable potions it will be such a big change. 2. More Trial Chamber Loot. Even now the loot still doesn’t feel like enough. 3. Add the new villager changes. I know they are controversial but I personally think it’s great as villagers are way too overpowered as of now and it promotes exploration. 4. Add a new biome of even just revamp an old biome. I think the Savannah is a good target for a revamp in this update and we have been waiting AGES for that revamp. I know it’s all a reach to have everything but I’m sure at least one of these things will happen before the release.
