Kenya has 4 international airports, therefore JKIA is not Kenya’s only international airport. That said, it’s shameful to have an international airport with leaking roofs.
They have all been reduced to dams

You are aware it's primarily / largely at JKIA that you can get flights out of Kenya for wider Europe routes, West Africa, SADC region, Australia etc ( point being, JKIA has the capacity to host a no of international airlines, and facilitate more global routes than the other 4 airports. And more importantly it's a friendly connecting port for passengers traveling far and wide). Kisumu, Eld, Isiolo or Mombasa at the moment. Would need more capacity to expand existing infrastructure that is money 💰 intensive, to level up to ports that have functional international airport architecture and status ie have extensive airside facilities; landside facilities; and the terminal buildings. Not forgetting, the need for intense passenger traffic, efficient customs and immigration administration. To assume, that all the air ports in the country, sufficiently tick the boxes of being international is misleading. Such Thinking 🤔 cracks the 💔💔 &🧠 is compromised 😢 and to some degree embarrassing 😕. (Edited)

What is within human control is to ensure that roofs don't leak and there's adequate drainage system to handle the first case scenario. It doesn't matter whether it takes place in Dubai, Tanzania, UK, Timbuktu or Mongalia. Stop looking for excuses for a poorly performing Govt. Management by crisis has never produced satisfactory results. What we are experiencing is a case of lack of foresight and preparedness. If the Govt is not held to account as you are implying, then did you expect ordinary citizens to converge at the airport, pickaxes and shovels in hand, to rework the drainage? Be serious.
