Ford driver has probably been the best on this channel... docked perfectly, trailered down perfectly 1st try, and got the boat out quickly....👌👌👍👍
Finally a Florida boater who had enough truck to handle the size of the boat he had. 👍
I bet he started with a regular one and a massive kerfluffle getting that big boat docked. He's upgraded his equipment and thought out his methods now. No drama, no hurry.
I brought my Ram 3500 from Colorado. It works really well at the boat ramps.
@@vicb.2708 - I'm not sure whether they still do this, but you used to be able to get your motor set up to run best at a different altitude. Chevy had a system where they ran the engine on propane to make the adjustments. I moved from 500 ft above sea level to West Texas at 5000 ft, and my car had about twenty horsepower at that altitude and got worse as you went higher. Setting up for sea level instead of high altitude could actually improve mileage and power.
@@GWNorth-db8vn I moved down, to Florida, not up. I had the 4X4 Cummins and was not going to get rid of it. I'll probably be buried in it.
@@vicb.2708 - I once loved an NTC350 Cummins in a Ford CL9000. I got to where I couldn't sleep in a bed at home and had to go out to the truck and fire up the motor to lump me to sleep.
He nailed that vehicle backup approach first try. Crushed it.
Thats a first. The right sized towing vehicle to match the boat and a driver who can reverse it.Much Respect.
Amazing the things people entertain themselves with...
She had the line the whole time
Came here just for this comment
EVERY tow vehicle I've had has been 4wd and I've NEVER had a problem.
I've NEVER used 4wd on a ramp and NEVER had a problem.
@@DonziGT230You’re fortunate.
Four wheel drive is what everyone in the West has.
@@charlescarpenter3758 I'm on the West Coast; 4wd is more prevalent here, but it's far from "everyone". I've owned many, but the vast majority of my towing and launching has been with 2wd vehicles.
That's a sweet boat, pulled by a sweet truck!
With the announcer getting excited and describing everything, it’s like watching a car race or the wide world of sports!
That truck is a beast!
Love that little Pioneer at the end. I have the same boat. Well built and great fit and finish
Line was in hand from 5:58...
With that last one, I think the commentator is a little blind, because the woman in blue had the line in her hand all the time, whilst the commentator was claiming otherwise. Perhaps the commentator just had a good night out, or was refreshing himself at a sandbar.
Guess you need to entertain us Alaskans about having such a butter cup ramps!
Dude, I don't know what you're seeing but both of the women had ropes in their hands if you can't see the rope notice that they both had their hands extended out in front of them, but I can see both the ropes in the video.
Only one had rope in her hands? One had a baby in her arms?
@@michaelhodges250 Both women were passing the rope between them woman with child had control of rope at 8:00 and 8:10
One rope. There's only one rope. They both end up holding different parts of the same single line coming from the boat.
Dude, she had the line clear as day the entire time.
That's a whole lotta maneuvering to avoid just pulling forward and getting a better line. I guess he didn't want to admit he made a mistake?
I'm shocked this truck doesn't have 4WD Shift on the Fly that he's locking hubs manually is crazy. I love manual hubs for me though.
Great vid
Crazy how long it takes these people to launch and retrieve their boats.
my man thought the crew with the 39 foot boat with triple 300's was gonna pull up with a ford ranger that's a million dollar boat !
The lady on the dock is holding the rope
Just curious, is it against the rules for somebody to clean the debris from the ramp? 🧐
That's for wimps. My manly truck can handle it even if yours can't. Hold my beer and watch this.
I bet that's not the same truck he owned the first time he pulled that boat out.
Why would you handicap yourself by not putting it in 4WD from the get-go?
You need bigger glasses. She had the line the whole time!
That bloke in the black suv needs a wider ramp 😂😂
They should install permanent ingress and egress trailer dock plates/rails to prevent vehicles from fall into the water
I am not sure about the US but in Queensland local government authorities or councils as we call them are responsible for regularly water blasting boat ramps at low tide. Not just a boat issue but a people safety issue.
What's with big-boat couple? They ACTUALLY used an initial midships cleat and line! So did the next boat. 😳🙂
Tilt those engines up before going up the ramp.
7:14 Guy was backing down ramp with window closed!
I was thinking if my window didn't work I wouldn't be wasting time and money playing in the water
WIFE BE LIKE, THAT BIG OLE TRUCK AND IT CAN PULL THE BOAT OUT?....LOL
What?
Why are they trying to hit the right side when they are clearly closed by the huge barriers at the top of the ramp?
Isn’t this the same boat ramp that has a croc/alligator swimming around & do these people know that???
The guy that almost hit the ramp with his boat. How can you not see that?
When you need ¼ mile to square up you are driving a big truck and a long trailer!
rich folks sho live good.
Saw this video on another channel few days ago
So, what am I missing? Was there something wrong with the last ramp on the right as we're looking at it?🤔
It's steep and narrow for jetskis and small boats.
It's awkward to reverse into, too, because you have to come in at an angle and then swing the car close to the gutter to straighten up. Not a lot of room to correct if you get it wrong. The other ramps you can reverse back on to straight.
Why is only one side of ramp open …don’t see any work being done to dock
Idk if it’s because it’s Florida, or because you have loosey goosey maritime law there, or because few pay attention to the laws, but boaters there are loco! 🤪
First. Keep them coming Broncos,🎉
This is so much better with the sound turned off.
"Way". The word your looking for is "way". As in...way less interesting. 😉
I was trying to see what the flag said and I think it says Let's Go Brando? Who is Brando?
Initials LGB. Lesbian Gay Bisexual. Same as a rainbow flag.
Isn’t that supposed to be “lets go brandon” the taunt for joe biden?
Nothing worse than a dock lizard thats 6:18 xpert at every thing but never seen doing anything, blind as well
Most people think with dual wheels it gives you twice the tractions but in reality it cuts your traction in half.
What?
That's REDICULOUS
Dual wheels drop the friction coeffient because they are spreading the weight over a bigger area, dry clean pavement the difference is small but on a wet slick ramp it magnifies the problem The fact it needs to be explained to you is sad
@@Zzrdemon6633 - That's the common sense version, but it's not actually accurate. The force of static friction depends on the materials and the amount of force being applied between them. The area doesn't come into it. Example: Steel on concrete has a coefficient of static friction of about .9 If a 1,000 lb steel block is sitting on concrete it will take 900 pounds of force to move it. It doesn't matter if the block is one foot square or ten feet square. Duallies give a better chance for each side to have a slightly cleaner patch under one tire, which increases the coefficient of static friction and gives better traction.
That Kodiak is actually a 6x6 with the dually's on the back.
Instead of cleaning up the debris they put up a barrier. Americans are above cleaning it would take 5 minutes
Źzzźzzzzz,,,,,,, lame
The truck has dual wheels in the back so it's always 4-wheel drive. What he needs is 6-wheel drive. All dually's are 4 wheel drive.
Two bolted together counts as one, since they don't move separately.
@GWNorth-db8vn you wouldn't want them moving separately anyway. I have a locking rear end for this type of thing.
@@SARDOGFL - The two tires on each corner don't move separately, so they count as one wheel.
@@GWNorth-db8vn Shure they do. Each tire is mounted on a wheel and counts as a separate wheel. otherwise an 18 wheeler would be called an 8 wheeler.
@@bobcosgrove3235 - We're talking about 4WD pickups here. They don't become eight wheel drives if you put duallies all the way around. Nobody says eight wheel drive about a semi, either. You have front and rear drive axles.
Im amazed that someone with 2+ motors cannot pivot a boat within its own length. Not only that the passengers with their leg out as the boat approaches the dock, Dumb. And I see this a lot, people riding in the boat while on the ramp, GTF out of the boat when on the ramp!
Thanks for spending so much time on the BIG trippple . . . . T R U M P 2024
Dude your trying to get drama out of something that isn't there.
Yawnnn
The Trump flag explains it all.
I don't normally comment on videos but this one is boring as hell and the woman did have the rope in her hands you should delete this video now
In qld australia our ramps are full of slippery mud and steeper than these ramps and have no issue pulling boats out 🤣
