🔧 INSTALLATION
-Plastic screen protectors are terrible to install
-Glass screen protectors that cost more usually have better install tools
💥 DURABILITY AND IMPACT RESISTANCE
-Plastic is the toughest screen protector you can get
-BUT plastic screen protectors are terrible for scratch protection
-Impact protection for glass depends on the quality
-Glass screen protector provide the best scratch resistance
🌈 CLARITY AND TOUCH SENSITIVITY
-Nothing beats glass in terms of clarity
-Glass is easier to keep clean
-Plastic will show wear and tear quicker
💰 PRICE POINTS
-No big difference in terms of price
-Cheapest plastic screen protector was $3.50 per
-Cheapest glass we used was $3.00 per
🧪 MATERIAL COMPOSITION
-High quality plastic screen protectors use multiple layers of plastic with a glass finish
-High quality glass screen protectors are tempered twice or if you get really crazy, are grown in a lab
⏳ LIFESPAN AND REPLACEMENT
-If your plastic screen protector is in good shape, you can easily remove it and clean it
-Plastic screen protectors despite being tougher, don't last as long in screen drop scenarios
-Glass will break easier but still offer a good level of protection and usability when compared to plastic

  • my biggest complaint with a lot of plastic screen protectors, and the glass ones as well, is the black bezel around them. Why? Just why? The chance of getting an entirely perfect install is very low, there's usually a slight armount of misalignment and that's just enough for that black bezel to start covering pixels.

  • Hey mate - given that that Ceramic Shield glass on the iPhone is very impact resistant, then would it make sense to apply a thin and light gel/plastic protector on top? Surely no need for a Flolab level protector?

  • I feel like I've got a cursed iPhone 14 Pro - I've tried Mous Hybrid Glass and it was rainbowing (almost like it had bad adhesive), got another one from Mous support, still the same issue and even cheap glass protectors all also rainbow in the same way, even when I stuck one for an iPhone 8 on that I never had issues with. Do you have any clues as to why?

  • I‘ve always used glass screen protectors on all my phones but I got tired of replacing them constantly since I’m clumsy with my phone. Decided to go with the Mous Hybrid glass when I picked my iPhone 14 up 7 months ago and it’s still going strong. The most impressive thing you’ll notice when installing it is how thin it is, you won’t even notice it’s there thickness wise when it’s installed. It definitely attracts scratches a little easier than glass screen protectors but the coating on it is the best I’ve ever felt. The coating has worn down a lot since installing but it’s still better than any other plastic screen protector. I have a feeling the only reason I’m gonna take this screen protector off is because of the coating wearing down or the scratches on it, not because it cracked. They also go on sale a lot on Amazon so I’m gonna pick up some more.

  • I actually like my Mous hybrid glass, had it on a few years now. It’s more prone to scratches, but doesn’t shatter as easily as glass. But the main thing I like about it is how thin it is. The only blemish is the edges are a little scratchy where glass can be nice and smooth.

  • Great content. Question. Why would anyone carry their phone in the same pocket as their keys? Not smart. Put the phone in your back pocket. Never scratched my phone this way. I take a film screen protector over glass any day. Especially the Whitestone dome film screen protector. You use the uv light after putting it on it hardens like glass. And it fits all my cases, like Supcase unicorn beetle pro or I-Blason Armorbox or poetic spartan or otterbox defender pro. Using these cases with glass, the glass would always lift when changing from case to case.

  • 5:25. That was me when I used to buy extremely cheap glass protectors from Ali express that I would replace every couple of months. According to Amazon, I bought a sparrin glass protector in January of last year and I still haven't swapped it out. I would've been on my 4th cheap screen protector due to chipping and whatnot but not with something that costs a bit more.

  • I don't care about scratches on the protector, I only care that my phone doesn't crack or scratch. So does (cheap) plastic offer better or worse protection than (cheap) glass ones?? Honestly the argument that you could keep using a cracked glass screen protector with a pieceo of tape over, but not a plastic one that starts peeling of on the edge - is quite silly to me 😅Surely you'd replace it either way. And why are we only starting at $40? I'm not paying $40 for a piece of plastic or glass lol
