Boston Dynamics has introduced a new electric version of its Atlas robot, replacing the older hydraulic model with a quieter, more fluid motion system. This revamped Atlas features a more streamlined and approachable design, mirroring advances seen in robots like Agility’s Digit and Apptronik’s Apollo. The new Atlas, equipped with custom high-powered actuators, showcases its enhanced agility and potential for industrial applications in a compelling demonstration video.

  • the clickbait thumbnail is really misleading. It made me think there was a full press conference/presentation with the new Atlas on a stage, but the whole thing was photoshopped.

  • I've watched several of these Atlas II videos, this is by far the best. Didn't know it had 3 fingers. There is no reason copy a human exactly, simply achieve or surpass human functionality. An opposable thumb is very useful to me, does a robot need one, I don't know? I can say with certainty I cannot do those flips. Subscribed

  • Thanks for the video video. I question why you said that the new Boston dynamics atlas to robot was more smooth less jerky then other offerings of human robots. That statement would’ve been fine except you were playing a video of the Optimus robot at the time you said it and one of the most notable things of Optimus was how smooth, silky, smooth, and natural the motion was. I don’t know if you were, not well informed or had not looked at all the robots and we’re just guessing but Optimus have contrasting pros and cars versus the new atlas because I don’t know yet how good the atlas two is but I can definitely say from what I’ve seen of Optimus that it moves, very smooth and natural looking.how much powered it has and how accurate that motion is will have to be determined when you saw Atlas walking away it was pretty jerky. Looks very cool, but not nearly as smooth as the walking motion of Optimus.

Also what happens when it's used for the wrong purposes!????????????????? The human version of spot look at the XL Bully dog. But robotic spot; WOW takes it all to an entirely different level. XL Bully the least of the problems. Also human instinct, cannot be input into a robot. EXTREMELY FASCINATING but also very dangerous.
