We love the Sand River and so do lions and wild dogs! We spend time with members of the Kambula pride and a pack of 30 wild dogs!

From MalaMala Game Reserve to wherever you are in the world, we'll bring you moments from our daily safaris in one of Africa's most iconic private game reserves. This is essentially a continuation of our 'Rangers in Isolation' series which was filmed during the national Lockdown.

  • Pure Magical Moments . My heart exploded and melted . This has it all ! Beautiful Queens and the most adorable cubs. And then Wham - painted puppies everywhere . Extremely special moment to witness these endangered pups thriving and they and their parents playing. 100% Keeper. Thank you guys so very much. I am so appreciative.

  • Beautiful families with tiny babies. The lioness crossing the river with her cubs was magical. And seeing another snuggling with her babies was very sweet. I counted at least 15 wild dog puppies! They grow so quickly. To see them this size was a rare sighting, indeed! Rare and wonderful, sightings, Rob!👍🏻😊

  • Incredibly beautiful sightings. Two amazing lionesses and their seven precious and adorable little cubs, I could watch their antics all day long. The painted dogs as well, with their playful little pups and so many of them was truly a joy to see. Such a beautiful video guys, thank you so much.

  • I noticed that lions do a little growl or hiss before crossing water/river, almost like an intimidation stance. I am seeing the cups do the same thing here. Is this something that lions do naturally?

  • Pitty the video is destroyed by the camera shutters' noise. I don't get it, why people have the need to do take shots when video is being recorded. Otherwise beautiful video, and I am glad there's no added music!

  • Wild dogs are not physically strong as lions,so to compete with lions they need dominate them in numbers!
