I this one I take a look back at the entire long process I've gone through to get on ton axles and an Atlas Transfer Case under my FJ Cruiser. It's pretty crazy, but now that it's about to hit the trails, I couldn't be more excited!

Man, I didn't know about the Rock Solid Toys drama, that must have been a hard pill to swallow. I hope you got some of your money back. Your patience and perseverance are next level.
I’ve loved watching this build.
Good work Ken! Much more ambitious of a build then I ever have plans for with my own FJ, but it is neat to see the whole process unfold throughout the videos as many dont document what all is involved like you have done. 👍
What an awesome build to watch it's paces. Cannot wait to see you drive it and all of it's glory!
Looking good Ken. Ken from Oregon.
Fantastic! It been a long road! Looking forward to the shakedown test!!!
Having built a few rigs from the ground up for myself over the years I have to grin at you for two things. 1. Total fearlessness. 2. Managing to grin a bit after having been treated so poorly by the now defunct company in Socal. This is a high five from a "brother" who's been where you are and fully understands the grind required to figure out and overcome each hurdle without throwing a cord over the rafters and finishing yourself off. I will be totally selfish and expect to see some vid of this thing off road very soon and hope to cross paths with you on the trail some day. Donnie in Florida
Thanks Donnie! You accurately describe the build grind... 😄 Thanks for following! Hopefully I'll get to there southeast sooner than later.
@@offroadhub.official I'll look forward to meeting you in East Tennessee for some of the southeast's finest wheelin' and if all goes well, I'll make out to the PNW for some wheelin' soon.
Awesome, Ken! Perseverance. Hope. Believe. Good job! Can't wait to see more vid with the SAS build now! Keep up the great work! -FJREY
That was a good trip down memory lane.
YESSSS KEN!!! SO STOKED!! 🇨🇦🤘🤘🤘 Can't wait to see it moving! Just in time for the holidays too
So awesome to see this wrapping up!! Awesome project
Congratulations! It's been fun watching and learning what it takes to do such a swap. Thanks! , Can't wait to see you wheeling again!
Ken - Admire you in many ways. Cant wait to see the FJ tear up the terrain. :)
My head is about to explode need that TOYOTA FJ Cruiser on the trails😎👍I can't wait to see Next step 🤯🌄I'm looking forward with a nice intro & music 😎😎😎
Hell Yeah! congratulations, nice job..go get some.
This has been by far my favorite build to watch. I watch everything 4x4 related on KZhead, and this is the most intriguing. Can't wait to see it on the trail. Nice job Ken! Gives me a little inspiration to get my shit box cherokee back on the trail. 👊
Awesome! Thank you!
Congrats, Ken! You should be very proud.
That’s awesome! Glad she’s finally done and we can see her on the trails!
I started watching your videos after I saw you go through the busy wild the 1st time my wife and I enjoyed that video
Thank you! I'll be back on Busywild in March! 😉
I'd like to see you attempt the boat ramp at Elbe hills and yellow jacket at tahuya . I've only seen videos of readers orv from what I've seen it's big
@@robertzumwalt1098 ok! Will do!
Hey Ken, if it’s done where are the shots of the old girl sitting on the wheels and why’s the hood up. Done means she’s ready to pull out of the garage LOL. Just had to give you a hard time buddy. It’s great that your done and I Can’t wait to see her out on the trails.
"done" 😄
@@offroadhub.official I have so many projects that are “done” too 😉👌🏼
Awesome I had forgotten how many different moves that it’s taken to get to this point. Your patience is paying off. Great job Ken!!!!!
Great work! Now get out there and get back to the wheeling videos! 😂 Can’t wait to see what trails you tackle next!
Victorious! Can't wait to see it out on the trail!
Awesome build! Been following your videos on this build and I am super excited to see how it performs on the trail.
Congratulations Ken been great watching your build and learning looking forward to seeing your adventures with the FJ thanks for sharing your build
Ken sports a FANCY blue shirt and renewed enthusiasm in his voice as he reviews the NEW Fj. Nothing less than victory over opposition when you watch this one. All of us are excited for you Ken and the behind the scenes Elizabeth for what the future has in store.
Wow congratulation Ken you went through a lot. This is one serious FJ. Honestly, I would not have the guts to cut up my FJ like that. Hopefully you enjoy the truck in its new form .
2022 We Go big !!
Awesome build bud Fjcruiser is one of my dream builds!! Love yotas
Nice work, Ken. The next one will be a whole lot easier now that you know what's involved. Congrats from BC.
Great job! Nothing like an overly ambitious project that you rise up to tackle!!
I was watching that and thinking WTH, Did I Zone Out and not see some of these clips then I thought, Oh Cutting room floor stuff.......Cool ; - )
The cutting room warehouse 😄
Braver than I. Amazing to watch.
Can’t wait to see the reveal of this beast great work
Congratulations, Ken, what a feeling of accomplishment you must be feeling at this point. You have worked extremely hard on this project and now have the skills and equipment to start doing SAS's on the side for people lol. Can't wait to see the trail videos to come, cheers.
Great job Ken! That was pretty cool going through the 'condensed' version of the build. Especially having watched you from the beginning. Kudos to you for overcoming a pretty big hurdle! You make it look so easy :)
Thanks for watching the whole time!
What a undertaking. Well, does it fit going through the garage door without dropping the air, or taking off the wheels? I guess we'll have to wait for the next video. Great build. I hope it ends up performing just as you've forecasted.
Hell of a job well done!
Mate, i followed your build from the start and i must congratulate you on a fantastic job. Really enjoyed learning along the way. Can't wait to see how the fj eats up the trails!
Yep.. it’s that easy. Love the recap video thanks for taking the time to make it and post it up I’m sending it to a coworker who has a fj lol
Just that easy! 😄
Thanks for taking us along for the ride! I’ve watched every episode of your build and I’m super proud of you! Your skills have increased every video and your ability to tackle every obstacle is incredible! Great job, looking forward to seeing some trail videos soon!!!!
Thank you for following along for the whole build!
Great video bro love the build 👍👍👍
Wow man, that’s awesome you did the work yourself. Very commendable and awesome rig you’ve built
Thank you!
Hands down to the man !!!! Thanks Ken for sharing the whole process with us, the FJ is ready to roll!!
It's so awesome to see what you have accomplished from start to finish. Time is never on our side when you jump into a build, no matter how big or small. it always became a running joke with my wife when i'd tell her about my next project and the 'time' i thought it would take. But taking the time to do it right is always a must and the lessons you've learned along the way are with you for a lifetime so there's always that. Looking forward to the big reveal!
Congrats Ken!
Best build series on KZhead. Can't wait to see this in action.
Yes yes YES, THANKS AGAIN
Congrats you have sold me on not doing this myself!
Understandable! 😄
Right on ! Time to test the beast out 😁
In Australia this is a common swap on our N70 breed of hilux which shares a front end with the fj cruiser (suspension wise) it was pretty cool to see how it gets done over there, in aus people often use 80 series land cruiser or Nissan patrol diffs and steering boxes for steering set up, cool none the less using the diffs you used, definitely caught me off guard the cutting you did to it all tho
Im impressed with the quality of this project, considering it was your first time. It looks great, and I cant wait to see it finally out of the garage.
Nice job Ken. It’s amazing what people can do when we put in the effort, and have the will to not give up.💪🏼 I pretty sure now the skies the limit in your fab skill’s
Absolutely well done! I would love to do the same! Been watching from the beginning. Next time you’re here in the Ham, we can hit Walker Valley!
Dang that sucks, I didn’t know you were one of the many RST victims. You did a better job than they would have anyway!
Well done!
Congrats sir.
congratulations!
U r an amazing person Bro!
Thanks! 😉
good job i love it
The coolest SAS FJ. One day lol. One day
Thanks Ken! Now I know to never take on such a project for my FJ. I think I'll keep my independent front end, I'll move up to heavy-duty front end parts when I need them.
Damn, 10g’s!
Yeah... Not messing around here. 😄
All those long hard hours in the garage about to be put to the test. Wish you success on the maiden run and you don't run into to many tweaking issues. Curious to see how you get it out of the garage and if suffer any garage withdraw issues.
No garage withdraw!
Woo Hoo, it's done. Great job. But, was lacking video evidence of it rolling out the door under it's own power. Or down the street. Wink.
Evidence forth coming 😄
Can’t believe you didn’t include the fire lol
👍✌️
Good morning Ken (first)
Sorry u got scammed by some trashy bastards , on the other hand it's good to know I'm not the only one . I got taken for 30 grand by skunk hole dealerships and private garages in North Dakota
It's scary when you realize how many shady people there are out there!
Such a great build. If you were going to go 37’s or max 40’s. Could you have kept it lower? And would have it been any easier for some of the brackets/ geo?
The brackets and geometry wouldn't have changed. If I was going to stick to 37's I wouldn't use 1 ton axles, the ground clearance would be pretty bad. So, building to 37's would be different in many ways, but the bracket and link locations I used could still be used.
So, how many metric tonnes have you added to this beautiful FJ? Amazing build by the way I am just thinking you are going to have to add an additional engine to move it.
I'll go weigh it for sure!
@@offroadhub.official Your FJ is going to be a beast among beasts
For diy you did good. If you don't mind what the cost on the cnc.
Thank you! I don't really know the final cost yet...
Did you buy the plasma table just for the build?
I bought a plasma cutter (no table) for the build. I have a friend with a table that cut out my front frame braces. Having a plasma cutter is a nice tool to have for the future.
Hi my friend do you have some old parts to sale? I’m looking for the rear axle group, the two front shaft and the lift kit
No that stuff is all gone.
Hey Ken, did you shorten those axles? or are they just standard SD 05+ axles?
I did not shorten them. The front is a 2012 the rear is a 1999 with 2" wheel spacers to match the front.
@@offroadhub.official Why not go with a newer 10.5 sterling that comes with the factory e locker?
@@jonathanbravo6544 the factory elocker wasn't really an interest for me. I installed a Yukon Grizzly locker.
@@offroadhub.official Gotcha. I just had my SAS finished and went with Rubicon 44s because i wanted selectable e lockers. Love the fact that you hit my local Browns camp trails!
Ken, I’m not happy about what “Rock Solid Toys” did to you! Anyone know these guys?
It was really just one guy. He was a good fabricator, but a terrible businessman.
@@offroadhub.official Hope he doesn’t open up again under a new name!
@@offroadhub.official His name is Wyatt and a Google search revealed some serious fraud! OMG
@@DUNEATV correct. He won't reopen a fabrication business. There are too many people that are going to be sure of that!
@@offroadhub.official Good! ☠️
Did you do your SAS to conquer Elbe Hills and get the last laugh? 😂
No... Not just for Elbe! There are lots of things I didn't do before that I want to do.
hi there. juat asking. what happen to a-track?
Atrac got deleted.
thank for the reply. does your dashboard turn on like christmas tree? and how did you eliminate all those lights? thank you and hoping some inputs so i can proceed on my fj. cruiser solid swap axle.
New Branco fan boys be like independent is so much better why did you solid axle swap it😡😡😡
Solid axle to ifs swaps are pretty rare... 😆
Make the trip to elbe during the wet season. redemption! Get a hold of John martinson on fb. Hes the man you want to go with.
Gongrats Ken that was one heck of a journey and some awesome work for sure. Thank you for bringing all of us along for the "ride" this year! I definitely learned much from you during this build. 🤪🍿🧈🥨🧂
