But why did you guys add up those texts with jumping color boxes following the voice to compete with closed captions? At least i can turn off the CCs, but your text is just distructing from voice.

    • If you don't particularly like red wine - I usually like it, but even as a connoisseur I still miss occasionally and buy one that I don't like - then I mix with 3/4 POM juice and sparkling water. Very refreshing. You need to buy a good one - I don't buy anything below $20 to avoid the ultra mass-produced, but it lasts several days. I would advise to not go over one glass a day, you may start to enjoy the new habit too much. If you only drink a little, you have to keep it in the fridge and it loses some taste, but it's still good for mixing.

  • Hmmm. Spinach, kiwi, celery are all high in oxalates. Not mentioned are beets, chard, dandelion are pretty good for nitric oxide too … they have the same oxalate problems. Oxalate contribute to kidney stones… ya don’t want to go there. Been there twice and never again. Be careful of eating too many foods higher in arginine than lysine. The ratio of these two aminos can cause shingles outbreaks. Too high arginine and low lysine cause the imbalance. So, if you had chickenpox growing up or the vaccine (including the shingles vaccine), you are vulnerable esp over 55 years old. Extensive Food lists for these two aminos can be found online. Highly recommend Sally K Norton for oxalates… book Toxic Superfoods is great. Changed my overloaded oxalate in my body.

Yes, eating exclusively meat (more specifically red meat) will turn the urine acidic, increase uric acid production too much, overall increasing the chances of kidney stone creation. However there are countless compounds found only in meat that are required for optimum health, strength and vitality. There are also high oxalates vegetables and nuts that are a great cause of kidney stones (kale, spinach, nuts etc). Having a balanced diet will avoid all the issues. And good cheese (high in fat and proteins) reduces greatly the chance of kidney stones by binding oxalates. Nothing beats an all rounded diet for avoiding kidney issues.

    • They also said long ago that smoking induces a meditative state that calms the mind, thus lowering cortisol -> good for body. But one minor positive effect, that can be achieved in multiple healthy ways cannot counter all the cardiovascular destruction smoking does. Similar, you would need to drink huge amounts of red wine for a bit of resveratrol. So, definitely I'm not a fan of promoting known highly damaging toxins for minor dubious benefits.
