Hey friends in the comments! I think it’s important to remember that these are real people, with real feelings, and we need to be kind with our words. It’s fine to think something to yourself, but unnecessary to say it aloud. They are all working their bums off to get ready for the season, so I’m sure they are running ragged to complete it all. My mom always said, “if you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything at all.” 😊. Love the new usable space above the pantry Marie! The porridge also looks delicious.
I love how Marie reorganizes and/ or deep cleans something every time Stephanie is out of town! That's definitely what I would do. 😆

Stephanie, you should buy a freeze-drier for Marie. Especially with all the produce coming in form the garden. Freeze-dried herbs are really good and extends the life of herbs. Great to see all the prep to get the chateau dolled up for B&B season.
I think those dehydrated raspberries would have been great on top of the cake Stephanie made! ❤
I love my dehydrator. My garlic powder tastes like actual garlic and not sawdust. A freeze dryer would be heaven.

I like the tall kitchen windows bare. What about leaving them bare for the summer and autumn, and hanging the drapes again for winter warmth and coziness?
They never draw the curtains in the winter anyway, which l don’t understand . Personally l like to shut out the darkness.

Here in Norway, as you know, this is very strict. Mattilsynet have surprice visits where they check everything and can shut it down if something is not up to their standard . Marie is getting things nicely organised before the season starts, she will be able to find things much easier. I keep order sheets on a clip board in my baking cupboard so I can write down things I need for a recipe on a menu, That way I can pull off the sheet and give it to whoever is going shopping. Same with the pantry and fridge - running lists. The shopping list(s) comes back and get put in the 'In stock" list. saves digging through cupboards for ingredients you don't have - just look at the stock list. Shopping list items get crossed off the stock list and replaced by returned purchase list (which is added to the stock list). It also helps in rotating stock, date the lists and you know how old the product is. Waste not, want not. Short of nothing we've got

If Marie wants even more powders to play with (😂) there’s a product called Zorbit (tapioca maltodextrin) that can turn any fat into powder. Think olive oil, nut butters, bacon fat, we played with it in culinary school with some fun results.
