So I got the hs60 pros. Here is my experience with it. Build: 5/5, it feels and is durable. The materials are also quite nice Comfort: 3.5/5, earpads go nicely around my ears and are soft although I feel like it creates an airthight chamber which hot air has problems escaping from. Headband is also quite comfortable. They are a heavier than I'm used to and put a strain on my neck quite quickly. Although that's something it could prob get used to. Clamping force is about right for me. Update: I have gotten used to the weight and it isn't really a problem anymore. Design: 5/5, it's personal preference, but I like them. Mic: 4/5, nothing exceptional, but good enough for school and gaming. Sound: 3.8/5, they get LOUD, and I'd recommend using them on at least 20% volume with 100% on headphones as they sound the best in that range imo. Now the sound quality itself. The S'es stand out a little too much for my liking and sometimes if the word ends with t, k or p it kind of fades away. When listening to songs, then the music is more noticable than words, it might be a good thing, but I don't really like it as words sound kind of farther away. I would recommend it for rock, metal and that kind of music genres. Update: I have gotten used to the sound and would say it's a 4/5 rather than a 3.8. Haven't gamed much with them yet, but I'll update. Update: I'm not a competitive gamer so consider that when reading my review. I would say these are pretty decent for gaming, as the direction from which a sound is coming from is rather clear. Gunfire in games might seem a little muffeled, depending on what you're used to. Overall a strong 4.5/5

I have the old hs60. the clamping force didn't really bother me, but once you showed that trick it made my hs60 feel weightless

I've has the 60s for a year now and I can tell you they just keep getting more comfortable. I lost my mic but they have replacements. I bought some $200 headphones and they didn't sound half as good as these. Went right back to the 60s, love em! 👍🏻👍🏻
If you don’t mind me asking what 200 set did you buy and not like as much?? I’m currently a owner of the steel series 7P and I absolutely love them. But our guy here said in one of his most recent videos he prefers these over the 7P so I bought these a second ago to try them out cause I’m bored lol.
10 Months Later, do you still have the HS60s and if so do they still work good? I am looking into getting another headset as I own a SteelSeries Arctis 1 and the clamping force is so unbearable its little to no clamping force so when I move my head it shakes it is so bad.
@@AustinGamingKZhead the arctis 1? Isn’t that like 30 bucks man lol? I’m not sure what your gaming on but if your looking steel series go with a version of the 7 series. If you are on PlayStation go with the 7P+ if your on pc go with the 7+. Very very good headsets.
@@djm24able there is different currencies in different country’s so it could be 30$ for you and like 60 for me. Your probably in the U.S and if so it’s more expensive for me because I’m in Canada.

@TheTechne i've watched tons of ur videos where u emphasize comfort, never once heard what your head size was to compare it. The HS60 surround goes on sale. Knowing the Hyper X Cloud Stinger is a solid performer at $40 consistently,do you spring for the HS60 surround at the sale price, or do you still stick with the Stingers bc the sound profile still can’t beat the Stingers?

I was looking for a decent headset watched ur vid bout the Hyper X Cloud Revolver S, but i didnt trust you.. Then i bought them, its the worst decision i've done XD Now i got astros a40 gen 4 + mixamp pro (idk if u remember my comment) and WOW they are very soft i been using them more than 8 hours and feel nothing wrong on them. Your vid are very gud !! Have this like gud man u deserve this👍

If we use 3.5mm to type C dongle, do we get a different quality sound with normal 3.5mm jack ? Can you add to your check list about this because you know almost all flagship phone doesn't have 3.5mm audio jack anymore

Hi the bass is on par with in ear earphone? Were they mostly have frequency range from 19hz for low deep bass. I do hope this kind of headphones does have those deep bass because it have crazy 50mm drivers.

I have the Hs60 & by far it’s my favorite headset because it have a detachable mic, it’s adjustable, comfortable, VERY DURABLE and the audio sounds GREAT, but to be honest...based off this review i see no big difference so ima keep keep the ones i have😅 Great video man👍🏽 but it’s not worth the upgrade.
for me the ear cushion made a fantastic upgrade. no not a run out now and get upgrade, but a good one

Hey brother can you tell me about the mic connection, is there any issue caused by the dongle/sound card which comes with the box. i have seen a video complaining about the mic being turned of again and again during gaming and u just have to unplug and plug it back in, have you ever faced this kind of issue?

ok so im having trouble picking a headset rn, ive got a budget of 60 to 70$. So right now I have a Razer Kraken X lightweight, my friends can hear all my game audio apparently (fix ideas are appreciated) so im trying top get a new headset, but im confused. So on this headset you have the 7.1 Surround Sound and then the 3.5 jack. so you plug the jack in and the dongle right?

I own the old HS60 and it works fine. Problem only is that it has a strong clamping force. That's why I need to loosen it up
Hey techne I know it's been a while since you posted this review, now that it's almost been 3 years since this came out, is there something else that you recommend over the HS60 pros ? I wanted to get the Blackshark V2s but since they're not that different from the V2 X i have been re-thinking Thanks in advance
I'm in the same boat. I'm between the Razer Blackshark V2 X, Steelseries Arctis 1 wired and Corsair HS60 Pro (on yellow costs $39.99 unlike the black that costs $49.99). All these cost less than $42 on Amazon. The one thing that doesn't make me choose the Razer is the mic which is not removable (sometimes I'd like to remove it to watch some videos or listen to music) and I've seen some reviews that say the mic became loose over time and some issues with the cable. While there are other reviewers/people in the comments who don't have any problems like I mentioned above. So I think it's about luck if you get ones with no issues. GL

I got it at Best Buy and got the warranty for two years so if I get it damaged I can go in and exchange it for a new one
I have been having an issue with my HS60 Pro echoing all my sounds from my PC. I have no other microphons and I have double checked that the "Listen to" is unchecked in the recording settings in windows.

I have a problem with these headphones because every KZhead video i watch with max volume the sound quality is very low. But everything else like playing Spotify or playing video games the audio is perfect. It wasn't always like this. This problem started 2 weeks ago and progressively got worse to the point that every KZhead video sounds like it's whispering. I even have KZhead to max volume and it didn't help.
Man this headset gets better everytime I use it .. Love it!
