  • Vote for the OBSBOT Tiny 2, I owned one of their previous version webcam, use it for my online class for 1 year, love it, the video quality is awesome even it’s the previous version, and it’s features are very useful in my online class. One important thing, OBSBOT keep upgrading their firmware, and keep adding new stuffs into their webcam, to be honest, I think they are one of more responsible company I ever seen

  • I got the Elgato Facecam Pro a couple of months ago. My knocks are the short cable and, as you pointed out, the low light performance. A noticeable improvement over my Brio but I will say the Facecam Pro requires a bit more "dialing in" so to speak.

  • I have a Dell Ultrasharp Webcam - WB7022 and I'm fine with it, although the Facecam Pro interested me a lot because it's software. I really don't care about 4k60, so do Facecam Pro have a better image quality when in 4k30 mode? Is it a huge upgrade over Dell? It would be good to see a comparison between 4k60 and 4k30 in Elgato. Great video!

  • Great review! I picked up the Elgato Facecam Pro precisely for its high frame rate, exceptional software, and wide field of view. My major complaint, and where I totally agree with you, is that the colors can be a bit of a challenge to dial in if you have darker skin. I was able to pick up a custom 3D-printed privacy cover for the Facecam Pro on Etsy, but the lack of a privacy cover was kinda petty on Elgato's part. However, the stream deck integration helped to make my decision to purchase this $300 webcam over some of the others easier.

  • I have been trying to find a webcam to upgrade my channel and as much information is out there it can still be hard to discern or understand what is best or what you need. This is such an honest, well researched, organized, and phenomenally conveyed video where you clearly know your stuff and you want the audience to be a part of that knowledge. Whereas I left most videos feeling confused more often than not, I truly felt informed and more confident in what i am looking for when I make my decision after watching this. Thank you so much for making this video!💜🐝

  • I’ve been going down a rabbit hole for some time now trying to find the best cam for live podcast recordings - this helped! Question - I have a cannon m50 and have tried using it the utility software, which came which a bunch of latency issues. Have you tried using a capture card to use your mirrorless camera as a webcam? If so, did you have any latency issues?

    @Invested.Entrepreneur@Invested.Entrepreneur5 ай бұрын
    • Yeah the utility software is a band-aid solution honestly. The image has to be compressed and limited frame rate + resolution. I personally use the Elgato 4K60 Pro. It has very little latency (maybe 40 ms or so). EposVox logged it somewhere. The AverMedia GC573 has almost none, but it's very finicky and requires more motherboard bandwidth than it claims. You have the M50 mk1? Iirc that's the one without clean HDMI out. I currently use the Sony ZV-1 with the Elgato 4K60 Pro for low latency without compromising my image at all (4K 30 FPS).

      @BadIntentStreamTechReviews@BadIntentStreamTechReviews5 ай бұрын
    • @@BadIntentStreamTechReviews Thanks for the quick reply! I have the Canon M50 (regular one I think lol). Would you recommend the capture card (Elgato 4K60 Pro) or the Razor webcam? Essentially I just need a good quality image that I can use for my video podcasts while streaming off of Streamyard.

      @Invested.Entrepreneur@Invested.Entrepreneur5 ай бұрын
    • @@Invested.Entrepreneur I recommend the Kiyo Pro Ultra. There's no way to get clean HDMI out using the original M50, so even if you get a capture card you can't really use it as a webcam without the EOS utility. And since you have the m50 already, if you need photos or other stuff you still have that available. I think it's the most cost efficient way to get the best of both worlds.

  • This is the video I needed today. I have had a Brio for 2 years with zero problems and excellent in my amateur low light streaming room. I was drawn in by the new zoom features so I picked up the Nexigo970P and for the life of me, I cannot get the picture quality (grainy) or light/color setting (too dark, color changes as I move around the room) to do what my Brio has done for me basically out of the box.....Back to the Brio I go, unless I am missing something here?? Thanks for the reviews! I just found you and will check out your other videos.

    • There's no point in buying a 4K webcam since you can't go past 1080p 60fps in streaming apps.

      @SirTE0@SirTE02 ай бұрын
  • Edit: Nevermind, I had found a solution xD At the moment, I have the Elgato Facecam Pro, but I'm not satisfied with it at all. The 60 fps at 4K is amazing, but the sharpness, well, there's actually no difference between 1 and 4K for myself. I just uploaded a video under upload date with the name "at 18 8 2023 17:47 o clock" where are two picture comparsions in the commentaries. By the way, I bought this webcam on the one hand for gaming, whereby I would position it down on the right, and on the other for freetalk and something like that, and especially for the last one, the 60 fps would be really good, but in the end, the graphics are more important (except for 24 fps and so on). So, at least I plan to buy me the Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra, whereby I would have two questions here. First, it has a smaller wide angle in comparison to the Facecam Pro, and isn't this actually an advantage? I mean, you mustn't zoom in that much so that the picture doesn't lose its sharpness. And second, would it work well with a greenscreen, or would the blurry effect here be a disadvantage? I also had another question besides webcams, namely, what kind of lights do you use for your videos? Could you use these to light up a green screen? At the moment, I have 2 Ruili 96 LEDs from Amazon, and these are really good and bright, but on the other hand, so bright that they blind me somewhat. I had also tried it with two Keylight Airs, but these weren't bright enough. Well, it would be really nice of you if you could help me with it, because I'm a perfectionist and want to have the best quality for my future videos. Oh, and I really like your videos, which are much underrated in my eyes ^^

  • I opted for the Facecam Pro. I don't believe PTZ cameras will age well, due to the moving parts, also I did some quick research on Reddit and found a high number of reported issues. The Razer Ultra in my opinion has 2 problems: 1) Software: I really don't like Synapse, or any other software that needs to be constantly active alongside drivers. 2) Motion capture: It appears to have the choppier frame rate compared to others. It doesn't seem like 30 fps; rather, more like 20. Maybe because other cams introduce more blur? However, the image quality looks fine.

    @egrinant2@egrinant210 ай бұрын
    • Yeah I had the shutter speed a bit too fast on this one so there was no motion blur at all. You can slow it down if needed.
