GOLDENEYE | Bond meets Q

2020 ж. 19 Мам.

Bond gets briefed by Q in GOLDENEYE (1995). Desmond Llewellyn, who played Q, got a surprise he wasn’t expecting when they started filming this scene: “A girl is sitting at the desk and suddenly she is ejected. Nobody had told me anything about this beforehand and I had a hell of a shock. I was trying to remember my lines and suddenly there was a whoosh and this girl disappeared from the scene.”

    • "You have a license to kill, not to break the traffic laws." That's not actually correct. A License to Kill basically covers every crime up to and including first degree murder. It was the worst crime they could justify in the pursuit of espionage, so a License to Kill is basically a pre-emptive pardon for any crime commited in the service of Her Majesty's Government. It's not like new trainee agents get a License to Fly-Tip and work their way up to License to Kill. So Bond was actually acting entirely within his remit when he helped St. Petersburg by creating lots of new construction jobs.

    • "You have a license to kill, not to break the traffic laws." That's not actually correct. A License to Kill basically covers every crime up to and including killing someone.
