Credit to Daniel Craig here. He truly looks like he is down and out. The rough stubble, the bloodshot eyes, the pale complexion. This is a Bond barely keeping it together and the failure of the following tests MI6 put him through are believable. Often you get the ''hero'' in a dark space but it rarely sells, i.e., see Brosnan supposedly tortured for months in North Korea in Die Another Day and yet he looks fresh as roses soon after. Here though, it works. Bond feels, not finished, but hanging by a thread.

Amazing. Daniel Craig's acting. The subtlety of indicating his sense of purpose in the profession that deems him expendable such that he places the bottle down immediately at the news that could have him reinstated. How his life outside of it is quiet and empty. Alcohol driven even to the point of creating an added layer of danger with his drinking by incorporating scorpions and loveless affairs. His statement of "enjoying death" said with a glass of alcohol raised spoken spitefully and how that it "lends perspective" nevertheless he was swift to make a return in the conversation. James is a sad character, his heroism is only a veil for his lack of friendship, family or any significant relationship. His only relationship is with the job that values him only for his physical prowess which is called to question by an enemy who was discarded in like fashion. It's like when Bruce went to fight Bane expecting to die. Similarly it brings him to Madeleine like Bruce's return brought him to Selena.

The cinematography, the action sequences, made the movies way more darker that it ever was. Loved how in the end of the interview Daniel talked about rarity of James Bond movies. You've added a part of your personality and life to the cinema history, Mr. Craig, and it is a valuable input. Thank you Daniel Craig. Dan and Judi's Bond/M dynamic is absolute top shelf. Every exchange with them is exhilarating and biting, with some aspect of their relationship always being advanced forward. M is tough but fair, and she really helps to mold Craig's Bond into the man we all love, because she instills in him the principles and disciplines required to do the job to the best of his ability.

What i really love about this scene is that, like Bond said, M didn't trust him to finish the Job. It's less about him being shot and more to do with the fact that he views M's decision as her losing trust/faith in his abilities, and it's a common theme throughout the film as Bond's age and ability are constantly being mentioned throughout.
@ibringit987 Жыл бұрын

But that moment specifically says to me - "I'm an experienced battle hardened tactician, these losses were painful and unacceptable, someone is going to die for this." That may be me projecting a bit and reading the scene like that because I know the context. They do say that editing can make far more difference to a shot than anything the actor can do. By far my most favourite James Bond movie
Me too. Especially lovely in the immersive atmosphere of a real theater.
"Well what do you expect, a bloody apology?" I don't know why but I always laugh at that xD
One of the greatest Bond actor together with Pierce
Always loved the banter between these versions of Bond and M respectively.
From "we need you" to "Well, you’re bloody well not sleeping here!” Judie can change her tone magicallky
the way he instantly changes his deminor when he realises its MI6 that's attacked and immidietly returns shows he cares
Just watched No Time To Die and SkyFall keeps being the best of Craig’s movies!!
Honestly skyfall is my favorite bond movie. It was such a great story and a good redemption for bond. I loved that he wasnt the same bond because of his injury, yet still was able to hold his own against the villain. Godly villain too. This movie showed exactly why he is james bond. Hands down my favorite of the franchise.
Love how Bond conveniently had CNN in English in a random Turkish bar.
You’re overthinking.
Türk servislerdede ingilizce CNN ve BBC var kendisi açtıysa mümkün
ya ikimiz de biliyoruzki kendisi falan açmadı :D
It makes for a better scene than him getting a notification on his phone
CNN in English is pretty common around the world
I love this movie so much. Regardless if it was Bond or not, so well done.
Layer cake is still his best movie. Hands down.
Started liking James Bond movies after they brought in Daniel Craig. His stunts feel very original and looks lethal. Perfect for a bond. Roger Federer, for example, although stylish enough in suits to play the bond, doesn't have the "lethal killer" looks :)
@ESports Academy yo
He ment Roger Moore of course, but go on....
@@TheRX78ONE no
Wondered it too, but he sold me early on. The Bond he portrays is much closer to the character in Ian Fleming's novels.
@CEO of Secularism I meant federer
Not every Bond movie with Daniel Craig is great, but Daniel Craig is great in every single one of them.
I have always loved the Bond films, going back even before I saw 'The Living Daylights' on my birthday while studying at Oxford University. With that said, I don't think anyone has ever, or will ever, play Bond better than Daniel Craig. When I see him in that role, I forget he's an actor, and I just see James Bond.
The rain sets up the mood doesn’t it? Every movie seems to do this.
Wolf Blitzer has been in both 'James Bond' and 'Mission Impossible' franchises.
M:I did it better though
Paid liars
Yeah, and he is a Communist News Network globalist hack.
The old 🐺 Wolfy where the $$$$$ is...
prob bc hes an op mockinbird spy
The best M ever. Cheers to dame Judi!
Best Bond and best Bond movie.
This is the best ever Bond Movie.
I don't know that she didn't trust him so much as She is experienced enough not to let personal feelings get in the way of the mission. For her it isn't about trust or who is the best agent, its getting the mission done, and retrieving that list.
@@mithos56 I was mainly talking about how Bond Percieved her actions because i think in the other craig bond films he probably believes she would've let him deal with the issue himself if that makes sense
The way Bond kind of complains "what did you say 'take the bloody shot '". It gives a peek into his vulnerability and how he's somewhat hurt by M's action. The two are tied together its more than enployer and employee dynamics between them.
Skyfall is the greatest bond film.
It was certainly enjoyable for me, but it had some real flaws.
The first sitting shot look like monster 🔥
The chemistry between Dench and Craig has always been a big reason why Craig's Bond and the whole Bond cycle with him has been my most favourite
In the bond movies today it also depends which situation he’s in but in some ways he still has the element in a way he is the element it’s how he does it❤️❤️❤️
One of the best Bond scenes ever created.
Thank you for this scene. The eyes. Never lie
those ears are unmistakable, even in the dark XD
The back and forth they live to die for. Yes!
Para mi el mejor James de la historia.
The first few second of this is the late stages of my late 30s youth hostelling adventure.
"Certainty of losing the list?" That never computed for me. Certainty? Bond was in a fairly good position to end up with it.
Skyfall. The best bond film.(Period)
Skyfall is the best bond movie ever made
Oh how I will miss them both. The relationship of love and hate between the two made it more interesting and Craig took this to a whole new level and made it his own.
Something I noticed binging all of these Craig era clips is that Bond grows increasingly angry and rugged since Casino Royale. I don't know if its intentional, but Craig really portrays the "dying inside" of this character as he continues to witness tragedy and hardship.
One of my fave bond movies.
The music on this film is brilliant! Heard the album so many times
1:18 "I'm going to find whoever did this." Dame Judi Dench has played a wide range of roles and in other contexts those words could imply many things. But I like to believe that Judi Dench's superb acting is at least somewhat responsible for the feeling of this moment.
Craig is a legend
"Well you're bloody well not sleeping here." Love it.
"Run out of drink where you were." Flawless scripting
My favorite scene all-time ❤❤❤❤❤❤
