    • VAHVA Fitness Chameleon is just harder version of lizard crawl, isn't it ? But I like this exercise. :)) How deep should I go, if I do chameleon. It is hard for me if I hold myself only on one arm and one foot. And if I go too deep a fall down, because my arm can't hold it.

The chameleon and crouching tiger are my favorites, maybe because they use our entire body! Great content! It would be perfect if you explained the benefits or pros and cons of each type of movement and which ones to use based on what your workout goals are :)

Ive been looking for ways to start this kind of workout and finally came across your videos. 6 days later I am able to freeze through these workouts and finally do a handstand at will. Your videos has helped heal my rotator cuff completely after its been in pretty bad shape. Its also helped develop incredible core strength for my sport. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!! As for the workouts should I just up the reps or try some more advanced stuff?

  • While doing the Crab, you can change the direction of your fingers pointing to your feet, this way you change the arm muscle, then low the butt till very close to the floor, this makes you reeeeally feel the burn in Arms and abs! Plus, it's such a nice thing to see Capoeira movements being spread out :) You are performing it very well, specialy the Chameleon. There is another animal walk in Capoeira, it's the Jacarezinho (little Aligator). I couldn't find a video to show you, but it's a explode push up jumping forward.

I'm a pretty lanky grappler myself and I rely much more on my agility and fluidity than pure strength, so I try to incorporate unorthodox movements such as these into my style.

  • I strongly recommend that you practice the "Duck Walk" and the elated exercises described in this video until you KNOW you can do them before you go to MEPS. It's a very weird exercise and something you would never have done before and it has probably ruined more military careers than any other physical test. A good friend of mine got the highest IQ score they had ever had in his state and the recruiters were thrilled to sign him up. He was guaranteed a spot in nuclear training program. Unfortunately, he failed the "Duck Walk" at MEPS and they cancelled his enlistment and that destroyed what would have been a VERY promising naval career. It's a BIG deal. Treat it accordingly.

  • Where do you find these empty ass gyms? I really need a gym like these. Feels a lot more calming. Also the gyms I go to are always pact with people and I wouldn't wanna do these for the fear of looking stupid.

    • Many gyms often have bigger areas for classes like yoga/aerobic/etc. which aren't used much when there is no class. Also picking a good time helps.

    • Go to a better gym. Expect to pay more for it. Your fitness shouldnt be a sub £50 investment. People spend that much on phone contracts. Hopefully you value your body more than your phone

      @jamesfy@jamesfy5 жыл бұрын
    • Do them at home, you sure have the space there, no people watching and giving you funny looks and you can do them at a better pace than in a gym with people.

  • Good stuff. I've seen most of those, some are in or similar to the whole animal flow thing, the horse walk I guess is an extension of the horse stance common in many martial arts schools... but the chameleon was completely new to me, looks quite tough. More stuff for me to try, awesome. Thanks! :)
