The Engineering Behind the BEST car America Will EVER MAKE - Dodge Viper ACR

Huge thanks to Suited Racer for lending us his Viper ACR! Give him a follow:
/ @suitedracer
The Dodge Viper ACR is the BEST CAR that America will EVER make. Am I crazy? Probably. When the Viper was released all the way back in 1992, it was terrifying. And throughout the Viper's production, that same level of fear has been passed down, generation to generation, culminating into one of the wildest, track-capable production cars ever built, the Viper ACR. In today's B2B we are going to look at what makes the 5th gen Dodge Viper such a scary car with its 645hp V10 engine, and then we’re gonna dive into the Aero engineering that helps keep the Snake glued to the road!
Some of our best videos ever are coming out soon, stay tuned so you won't miss a thing!

Call it fanboy if you want, I guess... But your comment will remain adding nothing to a conversation amongst adults because you are trying to either be cute & funny or just a dick. It was never intended to be anything more than a proof of concept that ran and drove featuring an Aluminum version of the V10 truck engine that they hoped to one day build a performance car version of. The public sent so many letters Dodge decided to produce it with a few changes. they got rid of the sick looking headers that went directly into side pipes the were exposed all the way down the side of the car !!! It runs out several people were burning their feet and legs getting in the car!! It was several years before they even offered a top on this car at all !!! I also heard the firing order had to be changed because the truck version was warping the crankshaft when you kicked up the performance !!!!

I fell in love with the Viper when the very first Road & Track presents Need For Speed for the first PlayStation in 1996, literally been a Dodge fanatic since the year 1996. Love hearing that the Viper never needed superchargers, turbos or any type of helped Ram Air. Hence, this is totally the Don’t Tread on Me car because of the 1776 wing and the fact the Southeastern Diamondback is a viper itself. I will always love this car!

  • The angle of a aircraft wing doesn't affect lift as much as the shape that it has when viewed from the side. There's more surface area on the top which means air molecules have to move faster on the top to meet back up with the air molecules that where passing under the wing, thus creating lift. You can increase the angle of attack for more lift but at the cost of more drag.

You don't just buy a sports car just because it achieved something. You buy it because you like it. And personally, while I do like Koenigseggs myself, I believe that if you consider a car as "shit" (and that certain manufacturers can't build the fastest cars because they don't have the technology or infastructure, etc.) because they can't go as fast as an Agera RS or Chiron is just infantile and rubbish.
