What an interesting rivalry. The two met in Iowa City earlier in 2018. Dake also won that match, but he was assisted by "home-mat" advantage and some acting skills when he was on bottom. Hasanov is a fierce, proud wrestler, and given the small population of Azerbaijan--only 10 million people--he's easy to root for.

No they just finally brought back a weight class for a normal sized american man. The year before and during the olympics there is almost a 30 lb. jump between the weight class below and above him. It really needs to be fixed. You probably won't see him in the Olympics.

@@somaliking4207 no worries, main difference between Greco and Freestyle is that in Greco you cannot use the legs. Cannot shoot on your opponents legs. This forces upper body use and throws. There are many other differences, but that's the main one. Both great styles, but Freestyle is what we learned in Jr. And Sr. Highschool in the U.S. so its more common.

I am sure it doesn't mean being undermine by small state specific sanctioning bodies, who have a massive amount of money coming in because they organize and run local tournaments set up weekly! I go to local tournaments and there are score trees, bought and paid for by non USA wrestling organizations because they have nothing else to spend money on!

That's why I'm not a big fan of freestyle. No one wants to take serious shots because it's to easy to just flip the shot maker over for points, so you end up with this, no offensive points, just push outs and mutual stalling. This isn't really a demonstration of wrestling skills at all.

That's most of freestyle. There are only a few shooters who are getting everyone spoiled (Taylor, etc) because they realize they like watching a match that's constant shooting better than a defensive match. Look back to the past, though - all of the dominant freestyle wrestlers slowed the match down and blocked shots.

No they just finally brought back a weight class for a normal sized american man. The year before and during the olympics there is almost a 30 lb. jump between the weight class below and above him. It really needs to be fixed. You probably won't see him in the Olympics.

@@somaliking4207 no worries, main difference between Greco and Freestyle is that in Greco you cannot use the legs. Cannot shoot on your opponents legs. This forces upper body use and throws. There are many other differences, but that's the main one. Both great styles, but Freestyle is what we learned in Jr. And Sr. Highschool in the U.S. so its more common.

The Olympic Committee is a total piece of shit. They have all these stupid events like race walking, show horse events, and synchronized swimming. But these assholes cut down wrestling from 10 weight classes to 6 omg it pisses me off.

I go to local tournaments and there are score trees, bought and paid for by non USA wrestling organizations because they have nothing else to spend money on!

Kyle seemed to be staying away not wanting to risk anything while the other guy was more aggressive. Not much actual wrestling here.
That's why I'm not a big fan of freestyle. No one wants to take serious shots because it's to easy to just flip the shot maker over for points, so you end up with this, no offensive points, just push outs and mutual stalling. This isn't really a demonstration of wrestling skills at all.

That's most of freestyle. There are only a few shooters who are getting everyone spoiled (Taylor, etc) because they realize they like watching a match that's constant shooting better than a defensive match. Look back to the past, though - all of the dominant freestyle wrestlers slowed the match down and blocked shots.
