When I got to this place I noticed that that yard was overgrown and that most doors were just unlocked... But when I got inside I was surprised to find that it was in this state... First, I thought that it was not abandoned but after looking around I found calendars from around 2003. This is a really strange one but at the time I was there it was definitely abandoned.
You are tresspassing a private property. Or just be honest to have arranged a visit to this place from the caretaker.
I’d say they have care takers for it to be so dust free
Why you stoped to show the rest of the castle?!?
Why ist this mansion so clean? And why are you so sweet as far away???? ;)
Why don't you make an offer for the Castle
This abandoned house is cleaner than my room, and I still live in it.
Me2
Lol. Mine 2.
Be frustrated at soulful eyes in the owner's face and keep proving your own inferiority complex, let us enjoy the spiral downward LOL
S M it's not abandoned
2003. Hasn't been abandoned. Too clean.
Given what I’ve read about this place, he’s either 100% trespassing or pre-arranged this visit with the owner.
yea definitely. its way too clean an dust free
I suspected as much just from the thumbnail.
This house doesn't look abandoned, it looks like the owner lives overseas and will come back for vacation. The house is cleaned periodically by someone. And the way wardrobes are opened proves that it is like that for airation purposes.
Look at the mirror well cleaned.it cannot be abondoned.look at the bathroom.bedrooms are well done.there is not a single layer of dirt or cob webs.
I have to agree. There’s no way this home is abandoned. Abandoned homes are never this clean and organized. Leslie did you research?
This would have became obvious it wasn't abandoned as I walked through it.... I would be thinking... wait... someone is still living hear... too clean and too much stuff here... check the fridge for expiration dates of any food... Yeah... this is still being used by someone.
Agreed, this mansion doesn't look abandoned. #breaking&entering
Yeah. I found this "exploration" quite disrespectful. Someone obviously was taking care of it. I'd have been furious if it had been my home.
Pristine condition clearly someone is maintaining this property. Get out.
I think so too, someone is maintaining the place because it's too clean if it's abandoned. Probably the cleaner forgot to lock the castles door.thats why it's left open.
i’m pretty sure that even if it was not abandoned he has permission to be in there
It's ok, the realty company does this advertisemnt.
@@kennysilver3561 Well, then he's lying to his subscribers.
I don’t think that place is abandoned.
This guy is an imbecile
It's not abandoned, it's from a man who went to France and this is his second property. Someone broke in and called it 'abandoned', he let someone return to put an alarm on it and call security. That's what I remember from this Dutch castle, it's been in the news papers and this is probably an old video from summer 2018.
@@bartjeuhh790 that's terrible
Definitely didn't look abandoned. Thank you for the info @Bartjeuhh
What he said was there had been no activity at the home from his research since 2003, and the place was at minimum unlocked, because he doesn't break and enter! He doesn't vandalize, and tries to not give locations in hopes that it doesn't get vandalized! It's crazy that if he did have someone coming and going from there for maintenance or whatnot he should have just kept the yard up and that would have caused people to assume someone was present instead of abandoned! We have brand new stuff get abandoned in the states because people will run out of money or this or that and what have you and the sad thing is people still go homeless for one and two vandals, usually kids partying will vandalize these places spray painting and tearing up it is so completely crazy! We vandalized a place once when I was a kid but we weren't meaning it to be vandalization but now I know it was. We weren't destructive and it was a cinderblock house being built. It was a slow build and the man came out almost every weekend to work on it! All he had up at the time was the back wall and two side walls and nothing more, well his concrete floor! We went in one day and used a roll of duct tape and wrote in big letters with it like a huge banner across the back wall "WELCOME"!!! I'm not even sure if it stayed up until he came out next and I never got the chance to really say welcome and to apologize! I was only 12 at the time! I never did anything like that ever again of course!!! Lol!!
imagine the owner walk in while he's filming this.
Berna S hahahaha
Poor hedwig might have found a crooked spot in cover with all that whitewash unskillfully. No human soul I can feel from this unfortunately. What a miserable guy whose heart sinks at her radiant face in the pics. Moreover, the chateau is not yours that's why they always have damaged stuff LOL
@@hyekang3850 are you okay?
Berna S He more likely got permission from the people who own it and live in it. This place is not abandoned It's far to clean to be abandoned No abandoned place is that clean Not a speck of dust
Berna S hahahahahhah
its good to hear the owner of the castle is back and he is starting to renovate the place.
@@MisaloSloe Thats not realy true.....Info about the mansion The name is Heysterum It is not build in 1878 but in 1798 It was never ever abandoned since 2003 The owner lived there from 1995 till he past away in 2011 I am from the Dutch castle,s in here are never abandoned because we do not have have many castle,s here , And all official castle,s are being protected by government or other organisations that protect monuments , Many info sites speaking about a beautiful country mansion on a estate it was not build as castle but as hunting lock and over the years there has been some new construction work done, they extended the wings and added a tower and some more construction was added or renewed so it has the looks from a small castle, They suspect its build on the foundation from a medieval castle This castle/mansion is sold on December the 17th 2019 on a execution auction for 1,2 million Euro , After the owner past away in 2011 the family kept the castle and sold it in 2016 They could not maintain and pay for it anymore .They sold it to a women that would pay 1.8 million Euro and she wanted too buy the furniture for 600.000 Euro There where money issues about it because the family claimed they never gotten that full amount from the buyer so they kept the castle and furniture The son from the owner that past away moved back in to the mansion to protect the family belongings In the mean time the dept on the castle was raising and the creditors put a claim on the castle That is why none lived in it for about 1,5 to 2 years 2016/2018 and why the furniture was still there, After it was sold on the execution auction the new owner allowed to let the son stay there as care taker You can find some more info on this page www.absolutefacts.nl/kastelen/data/heysterum.htm and here www.limburger.nl/cnt/dmf20190103_00086639/nieuwe-eigenaar-legt-1-2-miljoen-neer-voor-kasteel-heysterum

same feeling and I dont like it
Oh my God me too !!! It felt as if I'm doing something wrong :O
There's no way on 🌎 you guys actually thought this house way abandoned!? Everything is spotless and well-maintained and gives no appearance of being abandoned.
This is NOT ABANDONED! someone else did a video in this place, and it is NOT ABANDONED! It's a seasonal vacation home. You need to be careful where you go.
I wish I could afford to "abandon" a home like that for 6 months!
Miss Robin Martz Not with all that stainless in the kitchen. Could you imagine watching KZhead and watching your own house be “explored?” You should be able to leave your house unlocked and still expect people not to trespass.
damn it Robin, watch the WHOLE video. He explains that at the end of it.

I don’t think it’s abandon it’s in to good condition you might be trespassing your lucky you didn’t get caught
All he has to say is he's there to inspect the grounds. Don a handy man outfit... say it all checks out... and go like the wind blows.

@Bros Of Decay, I believe the word you were looking for was "Vacant" as opposed to "Abandoned". I've seen dozens and dozens of your productions and do NOT believe you were attempting to fool anyone, as was indicated by many comments below. It is clear from your impeccable reputation that you were being truthful when producing this video. Thank you as always!
This place is obviously being taken care of.
I thought the same thing... In one month this house would be a lot of dust
Still brand new it don't look abandon
@@jotakah1305 i have been away for2 months and the dust doesn't really form anywhere, dust is mainly off of clothes skin and shit you bring in on you from the outside
@@WayneAllen-ov6lv Then why are you watching? If you watched this video, you are just as guilty.
@@beetlejuice8378 silly, A house gets dusty by running an air conditioner or a furnace. If its abandoned and none of those things are running, it will take longer to get dusty.. But dust settles and within a week you will have a layer of dust.
"Everything's still here", which means, You, shouldn't be. I think this is staged for tours. No dust on the tables
The building itself I think was built in the 1800s but someone from what I think he mentioned in the earlier video was re occupied and renovated in 2003
There seems to be problems with these vlogs. I will not watch them anymore.
Fully furnished, every thing in perfect condition. looks like the owner is on holiday and you are trespassing making this video
How it can be look all the grass outside?
😂
He said it was abandoned in 2003.
Maybe they left this place but want to sell the valuables. Means they not are living here but still taking care of the belongings. So no need to maintain the garden
Great video! I couldn't imagine this castle was abandoned with how clean and orderly it appeared! The mirrors were all so clean, and no dust or cobwebs anywhere! I'm so glad to hear the owner is now back and renovating it!
I am glad that the owner is in residence again and this beautiful home will not end up destroyed or decayed. That is a lucky person to have such a beautiful home. Stay safe and have fun.
I wonder if he has seen this video! It would be nice if he did and had that guy arrested for what he did!
@unlucky1956But he didn't. No one that owned a mansion like that who allow someone to video his home and his things to put on KZhead for every sort of person to see. That is like saying here is what I have to steal and it is easy to walk inside without a key, etc.
I agree Marybeth sometimes it is better that these places get restored. They are just to beautiful
someone must be taking care of the property its not cobweb covered or dusty
Someone is surely
I noticed that also.
very clean
Yes that was my thought too!! No graffiti, no dust, and all in place! It also surprised me that all art works were still around....
My apartment has more dust ! ..and I haven't abandoned it yet !! lol. Maybe they have a Roomba ! Peace.
Abandoned since 2003? Where's all the dust? Why does the refrigerator still smell fresh? I think your tresspassing!
exactly! these should not be posted. may encourage vandalism. think about it if you had such a place and someone uninvited came in videotaped without your permission and posted online. I'd feel violated. on another note, I do enjoy your style and quality of content. your manner is quite respectful and enchanting, full of wonder and appreciation for beautiful things. Some of your videos of the truly abandoned places give me such a feeling of lack of closure as I would like to know what happened to these people to cause them to walk away from their properties.
I have old calendars and stuff if someone came into my home while I was gone and based it being abandon upon that they be wrong
14 years and no dust anywhere this is hard to believe, really man.
jack kridler 16 years
My thoughts that whoever the caretaker had been , stopped performing his /her duties for whatever reasons.. but only in recent months. The home shows recent upkeep and care.
Justin Merrill It's not abandoned you can bet on it
Obviously someone’s “other home “ with caretaker! You are trespassing
Yeah the caretaker probably forgot to lock the door
The owners are just in overseas maybe they're in tour or the husband is assigned to work overseas temporary...its open maybe because the caretaker forgot to lock the doors...
He said abandoned but we all know the owner gave him the keys to do a cribs video
i am curious. how do he found abanded places and no one else has check on this place like property tax people or where are other family members they are not checking on this property that mansion look to well kept to be abanded
We all know?? Is it just you are saying this because you have knowledge or just feel that way. Could you give proof.
Yep, so clean, so tidy. Not a speck of dust. I
probably...but so what? just watch! stop being negative.
Been abandoned for years yeah there's no dust on the table or the books or anyting I don't think so
Agreed, since 2003...... seriously. NO dust, anywhere..... oh come on.
So how can he just walk in? No security?

I believe your trespassing. Or you got permission from the owners to make a video saying it's abandoned. That place is so neat and tidy. Not one person would leave a house that fully furnished. No dust anywhere. It's spotless inside.
ok take a look at a video by Steve Ronin ' abandoned japanese billionaire's mansion ' and tell us no one leaves this type of things behind??!!
Brendan Harper all right he’s full of shit
Why didn't he show us every room. Is it because the owner got to pick and choose which ones to video?
I noticed that there wasn't any dust.
I agree...not abandoned!
No one has thought that they could have permission from the owner and there is a reason that everything was open and well cared for. Thanks for this beautiful video that place is a dream.
Indeed. Maybe because he's lying about it? You smartie.
I do not know how you don't get lost in those huge homes. This is so gorgeous and everything inside is simple beautiful. They had very good taste in the things they put in their home. Thank you for the tour.
Brilliant video.Respect to the Dutch for not vandalising or stealing anything from the castle.🇬🇧
They might not of known it was empty. If the word wasn’t put out that these guys got in and the cops didn’t start watching this place am sure bad would’ve come of it. There bad people everywhere you watch videos of Orther channels in different country and as soon as the word got out things started to disappear. I just glad that people protected this place before that could happen here
Lady Tron he might of stolen how do we know?
Vicki Temnoff That true we don’t know for 1 hundred percent. Just a guess.
Looks like he just missed the cleaning lady.
hahahha
😂
It frightens me when I see people wondering through some abandoned properties. Every time it feels that police will show up any moment and arrest them...
I love all the places that you show us! Thank you. It seems to me, when people just leave every behind is that either they just died and didn’t have any relatives at all, or they were running away from the police or the mob or something like that. Your home is full of loving souvenirs and memories, just leaving everything behind is, for me, something incredible.
Yes it’s still looks beautiful and clean. How are you doing Lorena, nice meeting you, I hope you and your family are safe from the virus.
the owner was just away and had a caretaker so of course it was clean
Someone is caring for this place. It’s not abandoned
Yeah Exactly
Beautiful, it has to be a tourist attraction or museum, it is so clean and looks like it is well looked after. I was in the Netherlands a year ago, I absolutely loved it there and wished I had more time to spend there to explore. The architecture is so amazing. Thank you for the tour 😊
Yes, of all the castles you have shown, this is the most beautiful. So glad the owner is back to take care of things, this place should, by all means, be kept alive. The furnishings were wonderful in every room. The kitchens, and sitting areas so inviting. If I had enough $$$ I would love to spend a few weeks there. May the owner keep this place at hand, and may he prosper with it. Thank you for sharing this wonderful place. WOW for sure!!!
looks too clean to be abandoned , looks set up . Love it all the same
You are technically trespassing in a private property 😳
And we cant be certain he's not the obe who broke in first so it's potentially breaking and entering, and trespassing
Stop watching if you don’t like it
@Adil Mustic why so critical? He didn't steal anything and his face was in plain view he just curious and willing to share so are we I found it fascinating
I k now where this is, and it is not abandoned! !!!!!! Ik weet waar het is, dat huis is niet leeg! Ik was daar op vakantie! I was there on holiday! Leave the house please! !!!!!
Adil Mustic Just because he didn’t steal anything doesn’t mean it’s right, how would you like it if a stranger was in you’re house without your knowing tracking mud everywhere going through your possessions and recording the interior of your house for everybody to look at
Absolutely gorgeous - I don't understand why people just walk away from places like this. I'm happy to hear it is being lived in again ❤️

Wow you picked a stunner of a place, each room had the wow factor. I am glad it is getting renovated, as, it would be awful to see this marvellous place go to ruin. It is so amazing to see how some people actually live though. Thank you really enjoyed this video.
I agree, love seeing these huge castles!
Yess..agree with you.
This is an absolutely beautiful family home. So many amazing furnishings and objects left behind. There must have been many beautiful memories in this home. The owner was very lucky to have had this home.
Someone was watching out for it , it was just to clean for it not to be taken care of . But it was beautiful . So thank you for bringing us along in this wonderful adventure . I would have turned around and left as soon as I saw the inside. But no way this place is abandoned

@@davehibbs9111 How do you know if the owner is still alive? Unless if you do some extensive research, you really wont know. Also in some places, if a squatter lives in a vacant home (owned or abandoned) for a certain amount of time, they can gain possession of the property. It happened in California and it can happen anywhere else.
@plaguelock Read the news and laws on squatters rights. It differs between states and countries. Squatters can acquire the title of the land or home they occupy by adverse possession just as long as they don't get caught within the time frame. It takes years to do so and a lot of the laws in each state requires squatters to pay property tax. It has happen a handful of times already and just this month, a squatter was awarded the title for a $1.7 million dollar house in Sydney due to squatters rights.

It looks so incredibly well kept for an abandoned place, perhaps the ghosts are clean freaks? Whether abandoned or otherwise, thank you for the content. It's a privilege to view inside these beautiful homes, I hope you're not going to get into trouble or legal difficulties if indeed, the home is still technically occupied in that it's owned by a private person or company.
