"Luke, I am your Father!" Love the Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back reference at the beginning of this review. Porsche has a habit of underrating the horsepower/torque of a lot of their vehicles. Put it on a dyno for testing horsepower at the wheels and I'm sure you'll probably be surprised. Love your reviews, man. Keep up the excellent work!

Speaking to my local dealer, Porsche only allocated 50 of these to the UK all of which are spoken for. Even rarer than any GT product!

It still has 10hp less than the Urus on paper. So VW didn't allow Porsche to have more hp than Lamborghini. But hp isn't the only thing that makes a car quicker.

As I'm watching the video, I noticed the driver-side wing mirror actually moves/adjusts its angle as Rory drives, maybe depending on the car speed and steering, a feature I've never heard of and no one talks about

He must have just shifted from reverse to drive. Since the mirrors are usually set to point down towards the curb during reversing. Then it takes a few seconds for it to move up again.. perhaps this is what you saw

@@AdityaJayaram 😅😅😅 I think that would've killed the transmission immediately and ended the shoot. But on this one, he's driving at speed and the mirror makes minor adjustments
@@ZakPooe huh? It's an automatic. You can't shift even a manual from reverse to 1st or vice versa even with brute force while moving at speed. Its mechanically impossible. I suppose he did a 3 point turn and the mirror was adjusting as he was pulling away, having executed the turn and shifted from reserve to drive. this is something that all cars do. But i see what you mean, it's the entire mirror casing that is moving. He must have accidentally closed the mirrors, or did so just before that clip to let another car squeeze past, and pushed the button to open it again. I drove this same car recently and it wasn't adjusting automatically. No car should, it wouldn't be logical. Your view to the back would change and that's not safe. You can watch my video on autogefühl and see if you notice it there too.

The Lambo SUV sells cos it's a Lambo, people don't really care about the performance of the Lambo SUV, it's for posers and this is really understated so it's no compitition

Turbo GT is still faster
I had a tussle with a new X6M recently. Hugely fast in a straight line, but even my 958.2 Cayenne Turbo destroyed it in the corners. Long straights was another story, that beast ate me up for breakfast there, so much power. But I think the new Turbo GT not only is faster in a straight line, it will also wipe the floor with the X6M in the twisties without breaking a sweat.
X6 made in America. Might as well buy a Ford. X6M are for people who can't afford a Porsche. The end.

It's Porsche showing everyone how it's done. When they launched the first Cayenne everyone laughed at them. The Cayenne GT Turbo Coupe flies under the radar its a wolf in sheep's clothing. The Cayenne GT will appeal to the customer who doesn't want to shout but just want to blend in. It's no wonder the Cayenne GT Turbo Coupe set a record lap around the Nürburgring. Porsche are at a different level compared to its competitors.

I used to see an original Cayenne Turbo hooked to a horse box at eventing tournaments back in the day. Definitely needs to be able to tow to be a real SUV, and Porsche really has created a perfect all arounder.

The Urus is fast. Im pretty sure the x5m comp and x6m comp are faster! Id like to see a dragrace between the Urus, the x6m comp, and this.

The BMW is not faster than the Urus. You are basing that off Carwow but you don't realize that Urus owned by Yanni has 24 inch wheels which slows down the car's acceleration. Those wheels are not stock and too big for the car.

Obviously the Cayenne. The Model X is one of the ugliest cars on the market, plus its just a Tesla. Will probably fall apart.
Depends. For a more fun SUV, get the Cayenne, way better handling. For a commuter SUV, get the Model X.
Could it be gearing that makes this car faster than the Urus? It's just speculation because I have no idea about the gear ratios in these cars but it certainly sounded like it chewed through the gears when you did that launch. I remember the old reviews of the Audi S4 B8.5. All the reviewers were baffled as to why it was faster 0-100 than so many of its rivals that had more power. It was/is only 333hp and 440Nm but it has very short first and second gears and a dual clutch transmission so it just flies off the line. Could be similar here? Another theory is that the turbo's Porsche put on this Cayenne don't produce as much peak power but can deliver a wider torque band allowing the car to accelerate more quickly across a wider range of the power band?

Out of all the performance SUVs, this is the one for me. Porsche have been smashing it lately with design and engineering.

Hopefully they will release the Turbo GT trim for the rest of the model range. I think a Panamera Turbo GT would be one of the best if not the best 4 door vehicle.

I still feel like I would be better off buying a bmw m5 comp in usa that would save me about 60000 even before adding options on the cayenne and the bmw is quicker...
Yes you would be better off buying an M5 and saving the money
The turbo gt is rarer than the 911 gt3. Each dealer is only getting around 2 allocations, so this is a serious collectors car. You will be able to sell this for way over sticker if you want to, or drive it and it’ll hold its value/appraise. Can’t really do that with a Bmw m5.

@@shasha023 the carwow videos are dodgy. People think the BMW is faster than the Urus but it isn't. The Urus in the video is slower than the stock Urus. Yanni has huge aftermarket 24 wheels on his car and that is what is slowing down his car. The Urus does not come with 24 inch wheels.
