Firefighter catches fire while battling a structure fire in Sherman Oaks, California. (Not injured).

An LAFD engine discovered a building on fire in the 13000 block of Ventura Blvd and requested a full structure fire response from dispatch. Units arrived and made quick access into the building while pouring water onto the roof from the engine. An LAFD member attempted to access an adjoining building using a circular saw when gasoline from the tool spilled over him. His colleagues managed to dowse him with water before he suffered any injuries. The original fire building was destroyed by the blaze and was knocked down in 24 minutes by 35 firefighters.

This will ensure that the cap and its rubber “O” ring gasket are not leaking. Fuel dripping from an inverted saw could be the result of its overfilling; fuel that overflows the fuel tank can collect in cavities in the engine housing. Also, consider that ethanol, up to 10% in gasoline, can, over time, dry out and crack seals and fuel lines on 2 cycle engines causing them to leak. (Bill Gustin) Miami Dade Fire Rescue
