Jeff Favignano and TheNorthernAlex, thank you both for all the attention you've given to Firefighting Simulator - The Squad over the last few weeks. While I'm no longer with Chronos Unterhaltungssoftware and haven't been part of the marketing of FFS, as the Lead Game Designer and World Builder on this project it puts a smile on my face to see you guys enjoying the game and appreciating all the detail I added to the game world. It truly makes me happy to know that the three-and-a-half years I put into the project was all worth it. While a few things didn't make it into the game, perhaps they can be included in a future update. Cheers. :-)
Thank you for the kind words, happy to see people proud of what they accomplished! It’s a fun game that is engaging for non and real fire fighters.
While Rosenbauer did get it's start in Austria, they do have production within the United States as well (Rosenbauer America / Rosenbauer US) ... alot of airport fire departments have been making the switch (as of late) over to Rosenbauer ARFF equipment from Oshkosh ... Rosenbauer has also built the first EV fire apparatus that will be making its debut with the LA Fire Department in the near future... I think the stigma with most people not liking Rosenbauer, is that they think it's not US built, even though as previously mentioned, Rosenbauer does have production within the United States that I believe handles Production/Delivery for all of N. America (don't quote me)
Yes, Rosenbauer does have a production site in Wyoming, MN that handles all of North and South America. And It's not just airports switching over, lot of departments in my area have gone to Rosenbauer, mine being one of them with 3 Rosenbauer Commanders already. They're a great company and make some great apparatuses by design and reliability so I don't understand the dislike towards them besides that they're not U.S. based.
@@robertmahoney5523 I will say I wasn't a fan at first, but Rosenbauer has really stepped up their game as of late... I really wish I was in charge of acquisitions for an airport fire department so I could have my dream line up of Rosenbauers... or even a regular fire department... but ARFF kind of offers the best of both worlds because you can have almost every single product offered by Rosenbauer and each will have a use at a decent sized airport... airside response with the Panthers (4x4 and 6x6) and Airwolfs... landside response with the Avenger and any one of their aerial ladders (Cobra, Raptor, or Viper)
Yeah I've seen some Rosenbauer fire engines where I live. Pierce is having financial issues I've heard.
@@DeltaBravoPhotographyWhen I joined the fire service, I started out on a Rosenbauer so I was immediately was used to it, and over the years they've definitely progressed. My department has 3 Rosenbauers, a 2015 Pumper, 2018 Cobra Aerial, and a 2019 Pumper/Tanker all on Commander Chassis. Our plan was to replace all our other apparatuses (Spartan, Simon Duplex, & ALF) with Rosenbauers.
Isn’t rosenbauer a part of Spartan?
As a firefighter myself I wish there was a hardcore aspect to this game where you have to make initial calls yourself without the game telling you what to do. Also more of a RP aspect to it. I would like to role play this game!

you can't do that because it'a a call-out mod, but if you're busy with one call, you can decline or have your team handle it. If necessary, they may call you for assistance...or ask you to request additional unit(s) when you arrive on-scene
From a firefighter’s standpoint, this is a very impressive game, I’m excited to play it. There’s a ton more details they could add into this like PASS alarms when you’re not moving enough, low air alarms, actually having to switch on your SCBA and keeping track of your air. A few more details would be having to hook up to a water supply (haven’t seen that yet correct me if I’m wrong) and maybe some more realistic dispatch audio
I agree, PASS and motion alarms would give it a major touch of reality, positive and negative ventilation scenarios also
And fire fighter's sirens not police sirens
If I’m not mistaken there is a low air alarm and a mirror to see how much is left along with health And you can also hook up the water supply

I’m a firefighter and I have to say that this game is pretty good! I have so much to say that they can add to make it more realistic but I know it’s just a game.
What are the main things you would add?
Steam! they would be cooking themselves with that water application.
The first thing they should do is add a Q2B siren
@@harryagar9646 most firefighters usually know how to keep the water under control before it reaches 125*F
21:05 is such a fantastic teaching moment because it just shows how good Alex is as a teacher

People will be picky but this simulator is very realistic & the attention to detail is spot on.
Now I want Jeff to be a real firefighter. "Out of the way, dumb-dumbs, I'm here to save you!"

@@BamBam-du3wf They dont only use Seagraves but I believe Seagraves take up the majority of their fleet.
Rosenbauers are okay but they have a lot of trouble we just put a new one in service and it’s been in the shop 3 times in 2 months
@@gavinmcneill46 That makes sense. They are known for making very different or innovative things and as we all know, the first of anything is always riddled with problems.

as a firefighter for 8 years, as well as a two year firetruck mechanic. rosebauer is just now becoming a large company, though some of there work in smaller aparatus such ans brush and rescue trucks is less than par. the few full size apparatus i have seen seem to be very well built. but i would never purchase one of the smlller units.

Jeff, so not sure about most of the people saying as such, I ride a Rosenbauer with my full-time dpt, and the only problem with it is that the build quality is terrible, the truck itself isn't that bad, but certain things are just a disappointment, blew a head out within the first year of operation, as well as the foam system leaks constantly so we have to isolate the foam system from the foam tank or else we are having to clean up concentrate from the bay floor every day.

A situation like that happened in my town recently. Our chief ordered 2, inch and 3/4 hoses through the door of a funeral home and the first hose team had to follow the hose line out running from an imminent collapse

I hope it comes out for the XBOX 1 and series X my dad was a firefighter so it's a passion to see more firefighting games and simulators getting more realistic and fun

i just bought this yesterday, i also own emergeNYC and this seems to be more polished and is more fun. EmergeNYC has a lot of issues. can't wait till they update this game and add stuff :D

In the department I'm a volunteer in the driver and the passenger have access to the air horn and the Q granted its a International Workstar built by Pierce. Love the content 👍

Most of the firefighters i work with don't like Rosenbauers because they "look futuristic".

The only time u use a fog nozzle is for a Haz-Mat situation but on a fire like that with no spills u use the stream

Because you’re popular ones are segrave Ferrara Pierce E-one and KME but some departments up north in the us in Massachusetts use Rosenbauer
To add more realism, they should add voice commands to call the victims like Jeff does, and then the victim could respond with *"over here", cough, cough* etc. I also wish that, all firefighters should leave the building, and head back to the firestation before the debriefing started, but we'll see what's going to happen, i'm sure the community has so many ideas too

I am glad I haven’t had to use my HAZMAT Training yet in real life. If so it would be pretty bad due to the places that are considered High-Risk (such as a Power Plant or a Paper Mill and Coal Mines)
Closing doors in game and irl help with not spreading the fire. In other words helps contain to one area.

I hope they add a way to call alarms for bigger fires and each alarm you can add 2 engines or 2 ladders or 1 of each and it adds 4 more men per alarm...

I have to skip the driving portions because its all so wrong compared to what EVOC standards are in the US. You should never pass a vehicle on the right when running emergent because cars are supposed to pull off to the right. Red shouldnt pass red when both have lights on. And at a red light you should always slow down and clear the intersection before going through.

Hey jeff while playing this game i have seen the part where u cant sprint with a victim, but i discovered if you drop your tool then grab the victim then pick your tool up again you can sprint with them.
Hey Jeff a city in Minnesota makes rosenbauer fire trucks I drive past the assembly plant when I am driving to and from work
They make sutphen trucks by where I live
I was a firefighter in gta5 for a few years and it's always exciting and stressful figurin out the plans quickly for each situation

As someone being in the Jugendfeuerwehr in germany most of our trucks are from rosenbauer 😊 But some like the KDow are also Fiat and we also have a MAN

The stigma of people not liking Rosenbauer apparatus (at least from my experience) stems from two main reasons: they aren't American built trucks - even though Pierce and many other manufacturers have outsourced products form foreign countries - and that Rosenbauer has been portrayed by several fire districts as being unreliable. I remember a couple of years ago a fire department made a tour video of their new Rosenbauer T-Rex 100 or 115' aerial tower truck, and then made a separate follow-up with a local news company that the truck had serious engine defects within the first few months. The trucks look nice, but it's basically an entire game of "If it's American, it's better" and "That one truck had some problems, so the whole brand is awful."
People disliking products because they aren't American made is one of the most American thing ever. I understand that people don't like Rosenbauer because they're unreliable, but not liking Rosenbauer because they're Austrian is just silly and dumb. That's like people saying they don't like New Flyer because it's Canadian.
Fires normally create a ton of smoke , not a sign of it in the game.
