I love how candid and straight forward Charles Barkley is for calling out some of the knuckle head players.
Same here, Barkley never sugarcoats anything which is why I enjoy listening to his segments, he's a real one💯
Knowing that he will get the same “treatment”if decides to demonstrate freedom of speech and personal thought. Yes, the same treatment.
@@frankmaestro5461 but he is almost always wrong. Nash was a horrible coach. He should have been fired last year😅
@@sadiahani1812 Yeah. It's sad, but Barkley's supposed "telling it like it is" has been suspiciously pro-establishment for many years. He (and Shaq too) espouses status quo and "personal responsibility" talking points (like speaking against passing down generational wealth when generational wealth is precisely what keeps the powerful in power) while Ernie Johnson does his best to hide a grin. Pushing the establishment agenda is what he was doing as well when he joined all the white commentators in lambasting MJ, the only black owner, as the worst owner ever (as if there haven't been plenty of white owners with struggling franchises in a league where literally just two franchises account for over 30 championships). I think that's when MJ saw him for exactly what he was and why he decided to cut him off for good.

Honestly props to him for still being professional despite the situation he is in.
you always hating on my team they why i hope someone slaps you
Now imagine it read in Stephen A's voice 🤣🤣🤣
he is an idiot overpaid to do that… anyone here can do that job
It’s getting to a point now where coaches are becoming obsolete. A team does bad, who does the blame go to? The coach. A team makes the playoffs and lose in the 1st or second round, who gets fired? The coach. Rarely are these players ever held accountable for playing like absolute scrubs.
KD and Kyrie are both "ends justify means" players that's why it'll never work. Those 30 points a piece look good until you realize they were down 20 points most of the game or blowing 20 point leads. As long as those 2 get them plastic stats they can act as innocent as they want.
Players are always held accountable. Their jobs depend on performing. But ultimately players rotate every year the coach and gm dont. So normally one or both has to go
easier to blame the coach tbh because they only get paid like 2mil so easier to replace too
I just think this is dumb. The team will be a wreck without a coach no final decisions just arguing...
C'mon bruh.. it's november
I know this is speaking from hindsight 20/20 vision but I miss the 18-19 Nets led by D-lo and wit Dinwiddie, Harris, LeVert, Caroll, Allen, Crabbe, RHJ etc. The chemistry is really there.
They actually had a pretty good nucleus
They had a really young and good team. I'm just glad Dinwiddie is playing for my Mavs now lol.
Was Kidd their coach?
Once harden came the team imploded. And once harden left the team was nuked lol.
They had so much youth and potential with that squad. Now Allen is an all-star caliber player, LeVert dropped 41 this past week, Dinwiddie is highly efficient (50% from 3 in the post-season last year) for the Mavs
How did I ever make fun of James Harden? He looks like a genius now for forcing his way out of this burning wreck.
good point
Only kyrie vaccine..if giannis didnt hurt kyrie they would won title. This year they would be favorites
No he does not he quit don’t forget KD went out because of injury they was 1st in the east my boy … that man quit … Game 7 against bucks he didn’t show up. Don’t play your self for likes

@@xavierb9061 classic kyrie injury excuse
Glad I'm not a nets fan. That report was brutally accurate
Countless cycles of giving up young talent giving up draft picks for “stars” that don’t deliver. Same thing that they did when they traded away all those draft picks to Boston for Garnett and pierce. It’s so painful to see the GM always destroy this team
It’s been rough
well i'm a nets fan but i don't care
Brutal especially since a lot of their fans are probably new bandwagonners who are looking for instant gratification.
It was accurate but wasn't the reality of the NBA. That young core was never going to win a championship. Championships are won by stars. 80% of the league has no chance of winning a ring.
This is a blessing in full display (not disguise) for Steve Nash. This, team, this organization is rife with dysfunction. You can’t bring order to those that dwell in chaos.
So many 🥶 takes in here
I honestly think if they kept the roster from 2018 and let their guys develop, they would have better success then what they have now.
They were such a fun team to watch when they were the underdogs, made the playoffs and lost respectfully to the Sixers..i loved that Nets team, they were scrappy af

If I were Steve Nash, I’d be doing the electric slide out of the Nets office

😂😂 hahaha
The main problem is the fact that these guys were the best growing up and always beat everyone so when they start regressing they are so diva and into themselves that they think, “this has to be someone else’s fault”
I bet Nash finally got a peaceful night of sleep last night for the first time in a LONG TIME. Starting to gain a lot of respect for Harden moving on when he did, he saw the ship wreck and made moves to get out of there as soon as he could.
@CH I'm blaming KD. He and Nash had a relationship when he worked with the Warriors and KD thought that would translate to coaching
@CH Brooklyn has done this twice, bringing in a coach with no HC or position experience. I think Steve Nash is gonna coach again but they have done this before and both times it ended poorly.
Harden deserves zero respect for all his team jumping. Watch how quick he gives up on Philly too after he chokes in the playoffs again.
Harden was apart of the shipwreck being out of shape and injured all the time while in Brooklyn
@CH here we go, let’s have sports be all black, all black players, all black coaches, all black gms, all black owners. who do they blame after that?
Can you imagine dealing with Kyrie, Ben Simmons and Kevin Durant all day? Good lord...
Right Over Paid Group Of Divas
as far as character, maturation levels & leadership skills go, those 3 combined definitely score in the negatives.
Why you throwing Simmons in there? He just started playing with them this year and was only acquired at the very end of last year... He had nothing to do with the debacle, that's the nets organization!😳🤯😅😅
@@ronaldpatterson1701 bc if youre a coach its your job to generate "production" towards garnered "expectation" or projected "capability" of a player like simmons so either hes still not up to his own level, or the leagues/experts standards based on a level of play hes established in the past? or its someone elses fault? Why not bring simmons into it? Gotta love Barkley's honest take on the Nets/Nash situation. TNT is lucky to have Barkley on staff!

Trash
Agreed. He knows the game as much as any Hall of famer if not more.
His take was pretty bad.
I said this before and I will say it again, The Nets had an out this off-season to clear the decks and rebuild with a nice roster still and they blew it because owners wanted the Nets to hold KD to his contract. This is on the whole organization, not just the players. They don't want to be there so move them.
In a few years Steve coming out with a book. “Surviving The Nets”
Bet
Nah it's gonna be the other way around for sure.
It's so funny because the Nets right before KD and Kyrie arrived, was building a really solid young team even without high draft picks and finding solid role players in FA. Nothing incredible, but still signs of a great Front Office. They traded ALL of that away for KD and Kyrie (and Harden lol) thinking they'll get an easy ring, and now, there's probably a high chance that both of them will leave the Nets when their contract is up.
Facts 💯
The Knicks aren't destroying the league or anything, but they dodged a bullet on that one.
@@moresnacksplease526 Lol really? They would still take KD and Kyrie right now if you ask them again. Their team is terrible. You act like they have DLo or Jarrett Allen like the Nets.

what i love about this show is not only is it fun, but these guys respect their jobs and their audience as analysts. when they need to be serious, they are.
Dysfunction starts from the top. Sean Mark's had a great core and traded it away. He is the GM not KD. Not Kyrie. Charles Barkely is a remedial old talking head like the rest of old people who can only repeat the same takes. Not once have I heard these old people talk about accountability of Sean Mark's and Steve Nash because they wanted to cheer about taking back control. You just heard Shaq say on this segment that coaches are nothing but moral support but Noone bashed him like Kyrie.
Charles then saying Nash was good before being bad is an indictment on Sean Mark's inability to be a good GM but instead we call attention to Kyrie. Who trades Harden for Ben Simmons? Really? Who trades away Jarrett Allen, Levert and Dinwiddie for Harden when you already have KD and Kyrie? It makes you wonder if Sean watches basketball, Harden and Westbrook never learned how to play winning basketball just entertaining. So you trade away the core for a hope. If Sean Mark's does not get Dwight Howard immediately he should be fired ASAP. STOP BLAMING OTHERS WHEN YOU ARE PAID TO DO A JOB!

Udoke was involved in a scandal and Kyrie has his name in another & Simmons isn't trying to comeback and KD probably upset he's still there... It would be a soap opera instead of a franchise. Steve Nash stated last year he and Kyrie speak daily and they don’t even talk about basketball. They are actually friends. This is beyond basketball and unfortunately that was his demise. He compromised his coaching position trying to be a supportive friend. The Nets didn’t deserve Steve Nash. Kyrie and KD took advantage of someone everyone considers to be a great person. Shaq is right this is on the players.
@CH Steve Kerr didn’t have any experience. I did say he compromised his coaching. I think trying to keep Kyrie happy and not holding him accountable affected his coaching but he shouldn’t have to shoulder that burden on his own. They should have traded Kyrie while they had the chance and now they are in one of the worst possible scenarios a NBA team could be in. When one of your best players is no longer a valued asset.
