Lia Block's Audi Ur-Quattro Shakedown, Test Drive and Driver's License Test!
She can drag race with the best of them (and in the Hoonicorn, no less), but can my daughter Lia pass her driver's test?? And what about her new daily, that awesome 1985 Audi Ur-Quattro -- will it be finished in time?
HUGE thanks to the Utah Driver License Division for letting us capture Lia's test and reaction!

❤️🙏
Keep the channel going strong.
So sad to watch. sorry for your loss Lia, cherish this car as its more than just a car now
The instructor deserves a ride in the Hoonicorn with Lia driving one day for that epic prank lol congrats Lia!
that would be funny to see.
Would have been funnier to prank the instructor first and have the Hoonicorn sitting there when they walked out for the driving test!
Good idea !! 👍👍😆😆
180mph with instructor and dounats after that..it would be hilarious, hahaha
make it happen Hoonigan!!!
I'm glad that she got to build this car with her dad. She will have memories of this and him forever. It so cool that she got to build her first car from the ground up. Such an awesome dad. Ken you were an amazing father role model and inspiration to many. RIP you will be missed!!
She will forever cherish that Quattro, as it is the last thing she did with dad that they finished together. Such a sad loss, R.I.P. Ken Block.

Man it's heart warming to know he got to see his daughter get her license and he got this opportunity to build this car with her (and many others) before he passed. Love ya Ken, you will be greatly missed
You will be immensely missed Ken. You brought so much love and passion to cars and that paved the way for so many of us. This is going to be so incredibly special for Lia for the rest of her life. God bless you and your family. We sure do love you. We sure will miss you.
Stop. I'm not a crier damn it
I wonder if his kid will still do it
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live (Jhon 11.25) Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. (Jhon 12.35) And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. (Apocalipse 21.4,5)
Pretty sure that driving instructor had us all fooled just as much as he had Leah fooled😂
It's Lia* thanks😅
He definitely passed the vibe check. :D
Absolutely lol
LOL. I got the feeling Ken put him up to it.
Got me!!!! 🤣
Can't even fathom what this young lady is going through. Not only losing her father, but the responsibility of this world he's created . May she and her family make it though this.
This car and what it means will be something that she cherishes forever. The bond between her and her dad is wholesome. RIP ken
As a dad myself this is some super wholesome sh*t. Good job as a Dad Ken. Love it! She looks SO happy. Congrats Lia!! 👏 💪
Well said 💪
Congratulations Lia. Racing on a track and public road driving need two different mind sets. Learn both. You'll be just like your dad.👍👍👍
Agreed 👍 brother, time we'll spent!👌👏👊👊👊💪

Utah state employees have a sense of humor? That was excellent!
Watching this video now is heart breaking. Ken will be sorely missed. Wishing you all the best.

Its so hard
My condolences to all of Ken's family! There is nothing more painful than losing your dad during the Christmas holidays. I know the pain all too well. And I sympathize.. I'm so sorry! Ken was a master. Mr. Driver! We will all remember him Lia!
Imagine how special this car will be to her though now. Like it will always be special now to her cuz it will remind her of her dad cuz of the time they spent working on it together

This is the first video that came to mind. I'm sorry for your loss, Lia. This must be hard. I am a father, and I couldn't imagine leaving my kids behind so young. Wish you all the best, and hopefully you can carry on his legacy.
He can truly say he didn't waste a moment of his life, and I hope every one of his kids can have the same overwhelming joy he felt for so many years. Thanks for everything, Ken Block and family.
Same. As soon as I heard about his death I thought about his daughter and how close they were. I feel so bad.
Super happy for Lia and all the work! It was cool to be a part of it, and lets be real, the car was on the road 3 weeks after getting back from paint, it had no glass, no brake lines, no fuel lines, nothing. Crazy amount of work, congrats Lia!
Yeah it’s not like it was missed by a mile, that’s some serious project management (or serious late nights or both) to get to pretty much the 99% mark by the deadline with all the disruptions we’re seeing in the world today. Nice work!
Great job on the build too! It's looks incredible. I'm excited to see it dialed in.
That was a solid initial test drive. Light years better than any of my projects.
Watching this after his passing brought tears to my eyes What a great relationship between them for us to be able to see.
Me too. 📡👽🇺🇸 RUN!!! What a wholesome man.
Had to come back and watch this episode again, my heart is breaking for Lia and the entire Block family and friends, colleagues etc 😢
Congrats Lia the look on your face when the driving instructor said you failed was priceless .
What a parting gift for his daughter. She'll always have this to look back on.
And not the 16 years of him being dad.. 🫣
This is really poignant. I'm so glad that over the last few years Lia and Ken made these incredible memories and shared such an amazing time together. I'm also glad that we were able to follow along, and watch Lia's progression into becoming a talented and fearless driver of many vehicles and disciplines. I hope in time, if it's something Lia wants to do, that she isn't put off from following in her dad's footsteps, and that she's able to follow her own path in something she's clearly very good at. I was so gutted when I heard the news tonight and I'm pretty sure the worldwide community is united in grief right now, whether it's regular people like me or the most famous names in motorsport. Everyone is sending Lia and the whole Block family and Hoonigan team all the love.
Loved these videos perhaps the most. Really sad about to read we lost this life enjoying man. At the very least there are some media to remember him by and people he's shaped in this world to reflect some pieces of him. All the best and strength to everyone, especially his family!
It turned out amazing. The build progressed so fast in the series that I wish we got to see it in more detail.
Agreed 👍 brother, its a beauti!👌👏🔥👍👊👊
He built a car with her before he passed, so heartbreaking. She will have those memories forever
I can’t believe how hard it must be for Lia right now. Stay strong, you know how many people that supports you! ❤
lia is going to cherish these memories for life, rip ken and sorry for your loss to his family and friends.
My condolences Lia, your dad will always be proud of you, and you will be the light that shines in his absence. You are an amazing person and driver. Any father would be happy to have you
Lia, not sure if you will read this, but I want you to know that your dad was an amazing man, and still is in our hearts. I am sure that He is so proud of you, and he will be watching you carry out his legacy from above. Sending love from all his fans, and to your family in this very difficult time.❤
Rip to a legend.. He’s definitely going to watch over all of us.
Never seen fear in Ken’s eyes, until Lia almost misses a red light 😂. Awesome build, and daughter/father series! Congratulations with your license!
6:00 for sure. I taught my little brother to drive and Ken did a better job than me. I screamed and about shat every corner. He's color blind and can't see traffic lights, we didn't know that at the time.
I'd never imagine Ken Block of all people in the world going as stiff as a stick in a car.
one of the world's greatest drivers, still terrified teaching a family member!
I'm in my fifties and I still remember just how stressfull it was driving in traffic at first. You KNOW all these things you should keep track of but it seems fscking impossible to do them all all the time every time and never miss something critical. It's sensory overload at the same time as you are very aware of the hundreds of other drivers you are sharing the road with. Drivers you hope are more capable, attentive and experienced with city traffic than you are. But at the same time you know that a lot of them are talking on the phone, doing their makeup, are lost in thoughts about work, love, life in general and spend minimal thought on driving. Your eyes flicker mirror, mirror, straight, left, right, mirror wait was that a sign? That flash was that something important? And so it goes on and on. Your brain don't know what to prioritize wo you try to watch everything at the same time and that leads to stress and you WILL miss something. And that leads to doubt and more stress... Note that this doesn't really have much to do with your driving skill. You can be an expert at handling the car, and still get stressed by external input as you have so many things to keep track of and so little time to do it. Drivning on a track you can concentrate on handling, the track and speed. You don't have to worry about cars on crossing roads, red light, the right of way, stop signs, speed limits, school zones, kids chasing balls, bicyclists, people crossing the road and all other things going on often at the least convenient moment. And you are just responsible for your life and not for anyone else on the road, and that's scary.
Looking at her reaction when she realized she would take her test in the project car was hilarious. Lia takes after her dad big time xD Glad she passed her test and the instructor really threw her through the loop.
May she continue on his legacy now and he rip 😢
Lia I am sorry for the loss. Keep your head high and keep that legacy alive. You were taught be the best driver in the world. Your are so blessed to have a father like him. Prays for healing to you and your family.
Rip Ken Block. I want to send my deepest condolences to his family. I want to express how bad I feel for the children's loss as he seems to have been an amazing father, and I also lost my father when he was the exact same age as ken. I am happy that the world had a person of such caliber, and he will be greatly missed.

Oh man. Ken you brought a lot of joy to a lot of people. What a good dad. You will be missed.
Being a dad, myself, and with a daughter that is going to be learning to drive soon, these videos have been some of my favorite to watch. She wants a 90’s Japanese car, which is going to be a real challenge to find. Congrats, Lia! You seriously earned it, and thank you, Ken, for sharing this awesome dad $h1t with us all.
Honda Preludes..had a few..find deals still & excellent with Kool factor!
There ya go, a Prelude would be pretty good. Or maybe a Toyota Celica.
Hey man if she wants something sporty maybe look for a dodge stealth or 3000gt. Fun car to drive and a good car for a future modder
You could always go with a Miata
hey man i didn’t even see the other comment about the prelude but i was gunna say a 4th or 5th gen prelude i got a 5th gen 2 years ago when i was 15 and learned how to drive manual in it and ended up taking my test in it and lemme tell u there amazing cars

It’s taken me till now to watch Ken’s videos again. I’m sorry for your loss Lia and my condolences go out to all the Block’s out there. ❤
No matter the accolades your father has, his most crowning achievement will always be you ❤. You could see it in the way he looked at you..hold those thoughts dear, and close. Cherish the car that both of you built, and keep driving it. Maybe it doesn't have to be anytime soon at all, but when the time comes, just drive it. All the fans have you and your families back ❤ R.i.p Ken.
Sorry for your loss Lia… I think it’s awesome you guys were able to build this car and I think it means so much more now than it ever would have.
I feel like Ken was loving every minute of this.
Ken was a class act on the track, interactions with fans and most importantly his family. Rest in paradise 🙏🏻. We need more positive influencers like you out there.
Ken had such a chill and calm voice. Him hanging out with his daughter was so much fun watching. I'm literally crying. You will be missed Ken. Sending prayers to the family. May God comfort you guys in this hard times. GBU
Lia has the sickest road car of anyone her age. The Quattro is legendary and the color is very nice. She almost curbed that plank hard hahaha
Nah she just has the same superhuman spatial awareness as her dad and can get insanely close without hitting 😅 RIP the drift king 👑
These father / daughter episodes are really sweet. Keep doing this, it's very very cool.
Instantly thought of this video when I seen the news.. Lia, I'm so sorry.. Stay strong and keep the legacy going.. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do next but in the meantime from all of yours and your dad's fans were sending you good vibes and you're in our thoughts and prayers.. Fly high Ken
as a father to a one year old daughter, Ken is an inspiration to fathers everywhere. You were blessed to have such an amazing father in your life! You can just feel his pride through the screen so I know you knew it every day.
I love how supportive Ken is with lia there bond is so awesome to see
Man she’s so lucky. I just got my license as well. She’s so lucky to have a dad with the connections ken has! Lia’s car is sick! ✌🏼
Watching this after the news❤
i love so much Ken is not at all nervous. hes laughing. what an incredible memory Lia gets to hold for life.
Racing and driving are completely different things. You're amazing for doing both and not mixing it!
It's so funny, because I've made so many comments about how cool and calm Lia has been in all of the This vs That races and such. So, dad should have taught you this lesson in that moment, but was trying to just let you do your thing, but don't let the pressure of other people make you nervous or anxious. You're feeling the pressure of holding up others and allowing that to impact your thought process. The fastest path to you getting comfortable is ignoring and tuning all that out. EDIT: oh man, the memories, my 86 Audi 4000 had the warm footwell, and while my dash was not fully free floating like yours LIa, mine was VERY wiggly!
"they should be lucky if the worse thing that happens to them today is they're held up for a few seconds"
So sorry for your loss. Ken was able to impact so many people around the world. Thank you for sharing your dad with us.
This car is going to be the most valuable cherished thins in lia’s life I’m glad her and him got to build it together
Rest in piece Ken🕊 you inspired me as a child to love cars and everything about it thank you
That scene with the instructor is pure gold, great one, congratulations Lia!
Was you could see how proud ken was with his little girl doing him proud she'll always have those memories which are priceless
I love how ken was on his phone chilling when lia was taking her driving test lol😂😂😂😂😂
Lia our condolences to you and your family. He was one heck of a driver.
Love how excited Ken is, grinning the whole time.
May you live on and continue to love this expedition with your father! Rip Ken and don’t let this stop you from doing what you love!
Lia I hope you see this. I'm so sorry for your loss. BUT..... I really hope it doesn't deter you from your dreams. Risk and reward go hand in hand, your Dad knew that better than anyone. I just want you to know that. Be strong, stay safe and keep doing what you love because it's what he would have wanted. You have something special just like your Dad. We the community are with you 100%. Keep going and don't let anything or anyone stand in your way. I lost my Dad to a motorbike accident a few years back, it was the worst day of my life, yet here I am riding motorbikes and doing dumb stuff. You got this. All the best Lia.
Your dad will always be your co-pilot. Keep racing he’ll always be with you.
"Ok but tell me why it turns my brights on when I turn my blinker on?" "Hehe, cause project car" So goddamn relatable :D
I burst out laughing when she said this! Just old Audi stuff...
Seriously funny video. We get to see more and more of Lia's personality in each video. Her expressions and reactions are hysterical. Watching Ken laugh at her test worries after rallying at 100mph and drag racing a 1400HP custom monster Mustang at 160mph is priceless

I love this whole series, the father-daughter dynamic, you can see Ken has the utmost confidence in Lia's abilities even when she's struggling and getting frustrated with the Quattro. Great video and loved the instructor prank too 😂
Congratulations Lia!! Getting your license is so exciting! 2 of my employees got their license in October 2022, and it's so amazing to see them become independent drivers. Be blessed Lia!! Safe travels!
Lia I am so sorry for your loss. Your father was an icon to gear heads all over the world. It is evident through watching these videos, how much you meant to him. You have, are and will continue to make him proud. You’re going through something no child should ever have to experience. Just know that the motorsports world and it’s fans share this grief. I had 5 UR quattro's back in the day. I am UK based, and really impressed by the job on the quattro. Those cars make a fantastic sound with the 5 pot engines. Lucky Lia having a UR quattro as a first daily driver. Wow. Enjoy the quattro!
My thoughts are with Lia and the whole family. Such sad news to have lost Ken. I wish the family lots of strength. Thank you Ken for your many gifts to this world
Lia - this series is an amazing one to have as memories of time you spent with your Dad. Whenever you need to have him close, watch these. It’ll probably make you sad, but it will also make you strong.
I would love to see more of this car and a proper first drive once it’s done! 🎉

Gonna be hard for her to even look at this car now. RIP Ken Block, you will be missed
This was recorded on such an awesome level! Also congretz to Lia, I wish those series were like 12-piece instead of 3! It was a total blast seeing Ken in a role of dad, he raised her very well! 🙌
The fact they got the project car done for Lia is a big thing and i believe she will remember that forever, i know projects i did with my Dad i remember fondly. R.I.P. Ken and Lia you got some big shoes to fill if you want to continue on in Racing, and i believe you will fill them quite well if you stick with it.
I love that Ken thanked the instructor for messing with Lia!! Classic. Too funny. The Audi looks amazing!! Keep killing it!!
We now need: Scotto’s Quattro, Ken’s Quattro and Lia’s Quattro lined up next to each other on display! The Hooni-Quatro’s!
I had this and the second vid in the build series sitting in my watch list for about a month. I had to watch both today, January 3, 2023 after hearing about the sudden loss of Ken today. The relationship between Lia and her dad, and everyone around him shows just what an amazing human Ken Block was (It's surreal to write "was"), besides being a kick ass driver, business person and trailblazer. He will be dearly missed by all. May he shred many tires on the rally tracks of the great beyond.
It's so heartbreaking. Lia, you know better than anyone else how incredible your father was. How much he absolutely adored you. I'm thinking of you and your family. Sending you lots of love and prayers.
The cutaways are freaking gold ✨️
Absolutely adorable. Great dad, great daughter, great content. Lia has been a fantastic addition to Hoonigan, can't wait to see what else she accomplishes!
Seeing the original 06’ STI in the corner made it come full circle for me. I started watching Ken in 07’ when he debuted that car in “Gymkhana practice” and I was only 16… 33 now with my own family, my own daughter and son, my own Subaru to look back on. It’s insane how time flies, Ken isn’t with us but I realized that he made a giant impact on the course of my life. Seeing him as a dad and HOW he approached fatherhood just warms my heart. No way we can fathom their grief, but we can’t deny our own. Legit tears for losing this man. He was my hero half my life.
thankfully we have all those amazing videos to always remember ken block's contagious joy for life by. rest in piece and thanks for all the enjoyment and laughs
