The new Zowie shape should seem familiar as it's a modified FK, basically not as long and a bit taller.
The length was one of the main issues I had with the FK so I'm really happy to see this change.
And yes, for now it's my new main, until something better comes out. Check my website for updates.
Either way, great mouse, definitely worth a look, especially if you were considering buying the FK.
No replacement for the FK1+ though and if you already have an FK, there's no real point upgrading unless you need the 3360 sensor.
Not sure what's going on with the buttons, so again, please leave a comment below if you experience an issue similar to mine.

Great thorough review. Gonna get the s2 white once it comes out. It's nice I stumbled onto your channel when I was 15 or 16 years old. @@papoanthony6868 Ended up quitting video games, so I never picked up the s2. Even though I have the talent for esports I decided to go to med school instead. I would choose the s2 since it's smaller. Same with all other Zowie mice. Just fits my hand better.

Just got my S1 today and I love it!!! This is my first Zowie mouse and the first time I’ve ever had a mouse with a glossy finish. I didn’t know how my sweaty hands would handle gripping the mouse but I was pleasantly surprised. It added extra grip and it fits in the hand so beautifully. It also glides really well and the buttons feel great. Not as crisp as the G403 but still good enough. Thank you for this video because this video reassured my purchase! 👍

Could you actually get in contact with zowie and ask them to confirm that there will be black and white S models down the line? On one of the S model threads on reddit someone said that zowie have stated that they have no plans for doing so later on. Would be a bummer for me and quite a few others as well. Shape looks really promissing but i can't stand glossy coatings at all. Just doesn't work for me. And anyway, the current colors ?... As for the review, top notch as always, of course.

Just got my matte black S1 in, they really nailed it with this shape. Much more suitable for palm grip then the fk series. Dimmensions seem perfect for my 18.5x9.5 hands
How do these compare to the Dream Machine DM1 FPS
I have an FK2 and a broken G303. I have fairly long hands and I play with a mix of fingertip grip and ''knuckle grip'' cause I like to extend my range of motion using my knuckles instead of moving my whole arm, my palm never touches the mouse. I used to play with the G303 a lot before it died on me and I had to buy the fk2 cause it was the closest thing to the G303 and because stupid Logitech discontinued the G303. I hate how flat and long the FK2 is and it lacks that slight hump on the very back that the G303 has. The S2 seems to be exactly like the G303, it's slightly shorter than the fk2 and it has a small hump on the very back just like the G303. Zy, would you mind making a video comparing the beloved G303 to the S2?
I was thinking the literal exact same thing! I'm not even kidding, this is the only reason why I'm out looking for another mouse. I currently have a g302 and I've wanted a g303 but it's been discontinued sadly. The fk2 seemed like a good replacement, but I was thinking of the same problems you mentioned and the new S series seems to solve that problem. I was also gonna ask for a g303 and S2 comparison on their shapes.
I have a g303 and the S2. This is my thoughts - the g303 is easier to flick and throw around, that's why it's such a fun easy mouse to use - but it lacks control after such flicks, as much as you think the control is "fine", using the S2 showed me that it's not. The S2 controls very well after flicks, and all the time. I think this is because the g303 has gaps where your fingers aren't touching the mouse, and your thumb controls the movement, where the s2 is controlled more by your whole hand. I can't say that I like either mouse more than the other, but after using my g303 for 2 years I'm enjoying the S2 a lot and have a hard time putting it down. I'll sometimes switch back to the g303, but it doesn't feel as fun to play with for some reason.
I can't wait to try this mouse when it comes out. The only other mouse I have used is the steelseries sensei 310 and have found my hand is quite small so I think the s2 will become my favorite

I found the FK2 too flat but I loved the shape of the ZA13, how does the S2 compare to the ZA13? I just didn't like the clicks on the ZA13. Hopefully the black version of the S2 won't be shiny either as a find I get sweaty hands with shiny finishes.

It's amazing how Zowie still raises the bar on their own mice and other mice after all these years. The shape will always be important. Would like to see more features though, and i'd love for the industry to adapt to wireless.

Genesis1452 I have a g305, Zowie fk1, g502, g402, razed mamba, Corsair m65 pro and more but just a couple days ago I got the Nixeus reval and omg I love this mouse so much and its really cheap it has a 3360 optical sensor it is so nice my new favorite mouse at the moment
I have a theory that the reason the Zowie FK models were made to be long and have a low height is because you need a low profile mouse for a good fingertip grip. The Zowie ZA models are high profile for claw grip, and the S models are best for palm (I think since I do not own any Zowie mice)

ive been a zowie fan since 2011... bought every single mouse they sell. but what i really want is a super light weight shell (finalmouse light), individual MB1 & MB2 shell panels and a new mouse wheel design! Zowie, you can literally make the best mouse ever... DO IT!

It is a matter of preference. Less steps is better for gaming. I tried EC1-A and it was a dealbreaker for me too though, because I use one mouse for everything.
I don't feel the fk2 one is horrible, it's good for gaming and I really don't understand why browisng matters. As long as it scrolls it seems fine.

Currently using the Logitech G303 but it’s starting to die on me and watching this review is really convincing me to get the Zowie S2. It’s the right size, ambidextrous and I think lighter than my 303. My only concern is the shape since I’m so use to the diamond shape of the 303 which was the main selling point for me.
I got the s1. Came today had a look for the button issue you had. Mine was fine. Maybe tbey have fixed the issue now
I aim by best with the FK2 , my only issue was buttons on the right , I couldn't rest my fingers like I wanted to. Definitely gonna check this one out.
As a side note : I do aim really good with Zowie mice's guess its the shape.

That white FK2 is probably the most good looking mouse I've ever seen.
these colors remind me so much of mionix mice. I kinda like it. Although that glossy texture is kind of a deal breaker for me :< I would prefer it probably matte or whatever the hell logitech uses for their mice, but still in these bright colors.

Got this today and I'm a big fan so far. Really like how it is the least gamery looking gaming mouse out there. It looks like some shitty dollar store mouse, but it feels great. Glides insanely well, has nice big side buttons that have just the right tightness and a scroll wheel which is ideal for gaming (although maybe a bit slow for web browsing). I also really love the fact that you don't need any stupid bloatware drivers. Only issue I've had so far is accidentally pressing m1 and m2 because they are a bit too light for what I'm used to. Overall highly recommended from my limited experience.
