FILM DESCRIPTION:
Angels and Demons re-teams director Ron Howard and star Tom Hanks for the sequel to their international blockbuster adaptation of Dan Brown's novel The Da Vinci Code. Although the book Angels and Demons was written before the novel The Da Vinci Code, the movie transpires after the events of the earlier movie. Hanks stars as professor Robert Langdon, the most respected symbologist in the United States, who uses his knowledge in order to decode a symbol on the skin of a murder victim. The clues put him on the trail of an international conspiracy involving the Catholic Church. Ewan McGregor and Ayelet Zurer also star in the Sony Pictures production.

When I first whatch the movie, this was the one scene that actually made me wanna look away... Fire terrifies me, it has to be the most painful and slow way to die, and I felt so bad and sad for poor Cardinal.

Actually I think this scene is freaking badass and well done. The pictures are terrific and the music is just epic. Love that movie.
What I like about the movie adaptation is that Vatican police are actively helping Langdon instead of being a hindrance like the novel portrays it.
I liked the novel more 😥

I feel kinda bad that Commander Olivetti died.
In a extended scene, he was still alive and tried to help langdon, but for the lose of blood by the cut in the throat he died

I prefer the assassin in the book but after this scene I changed my mind. This guy was vicious and didn't hesitate.

The actor who plays the cardinal Guidera, dead burned at the stake, is the stuntman Bob Yerkes, well-known as a stunt in Ghostbusters, Back to the Future, Return of the Jedi, Ferris Bueller, Who's Framed Roger Rabbit? and Back to the Future III

In book there were only robert and vittoria when they found the priest hung naked. Robert dealt with the fire and vittoria was kidnapped.

Actually, both are good and unique in their own ways
I read both the book and the movie... and while i have personal preferences in bot. I am one of the few whom enjoy both. The books, & The films based on them, have qualities that make them both stand out in ways that are positive/negative but is when a movie and a book are on par with one another...this is one of those few

They can't be "more prepared" given the time. They're too behind schedule for that. The clue was about fire, they did not know there would be an actual fire. And, even if they did, maybe they did not bring fire extinguishers because they knew the place has some-which were sadly rigged.
Exactly my line while reading this part
For me, this is one of the best directed fight scenes I've ever seen, no fancy moves and the assassin made it super quick and lethal.

Wasn’t Olivetti found already dead when Vitoria came in to the church and there was nobody else with Langdon. The movie adds some extra action to the plot. Plus the hassasin described more manly in the book.

You're forgetting that this Assassin got killed in a car bomb. No way he would've survived that in one piece to get to the Abstergo facility in the area.

Want more information I suggest watching the film. Whilst incredibly different from the book still a good watch.
