Nicola Sturgeon branded Boris Johnson a “f****** clown” in a series of messages during the then prime minister’s “f****** excruciating” announcement of a second national lockdown for England, an inquiry has heard.
Humza Yousaf has apologised “unreservedly” for the Scottish Government’s handling of requests for messages from the UK Covid-19 Inquiry.
It came as the Scottish First Minister began giving evidence to the inquiry, sitting in Edinburgh, on Thursday afternoon.
He described his Government’s handling of inquiry requests as “frankly poor” and offered an apology.
Jamie Dawson KC, lead counsel to the current module of the inquiry, put it to Mr Yousaf that it is “important” for the messages to be retained so proper lessons can be learned.
Mr Yousaf said: “I apologise unreservedly to the inquiry and to those mourning the loss of a loved one.”
The First Minister, who was Scottish health secretary from May 2021 until March 2023, said he believes there were times that decisions made during the pandemic by his predecessor Nicola Sturgeon were not “cascaded” to the rest of the cabinet.

Having lived in Scotland and worked in Sweden during the whole 'pandemic', it is evidentially true that the response in the UK and Scotland was utterly incompetent and hysterical. While the UK was under 24 hour lockdown, I was going to pubs, restaurants and cinemas in Sweden. This virus affected a tiny percentage of the population. It was no risk to the vast majority. We should never have been locked down, schools should never have closed, the country should have carried on as normal just as Sweden did. Everything we went through was done by politicians hell-bent on political maneuvering and self-interest. Remember that the next time these tyrants try to lock you in your own homes.

It is encrypted between one user and WA servers, and then opened. Again, encrypted by WA-servers to the receiver. WA is also closed source, so I do not trust WA with anything they claim/sai. I do recommend Signal Messenger. It is open source, and they do not have central servers to catch your data. And yes, Signal can not give your messaging out to law enforcement, even when they are often asked and forced to do so. They can not, as they do not have it.

Salmond is spot on. Not many people delete messages unless there is something that could get them into bother !!! I work in finance and there are rules around keeping information. If I just decided not to record things or delete emails etc… I’d be very lucky to keep my job. Here we have public servants openly admitting to flouting the rules AND lying about it with pretty much zero consequences. The whole thing stinks but this is the SNP after all.
Then you also know you cannot keep "data" which contains personal information that is regarded as "data". There is a difference. Deleting evidence for shady purposes is obvious. Its a plain cover up. But it depends if they contain data which contains others names, addresses and telephone numbers.

When the incompetent Westminster Tories came to power in 2010 the national debt was £1trillion. The Westminster Tories have taken the national debt up to £2.6 trillion. The Westminster Tories borrowed another £135 billion in 2023 to spend on their pet projects. The interest on the money borrowed by the Westminster Tories was about £100 billion in 2023. The Scottish government wasn't allowed to borrow money until recently but even now it is very restricted. At the same time as borrowing all this money the Westminster Tories put taxes up to the highest level since the second world war. The Tories also imposed austerity since 2010 cutting public services 6 councils such as Birmingham city, Nottingham city and Woking etc. in England have gone bankrupt since 2021. The bank of England was supposed to keep inflation down to 2% and let it rise to a high of 11%. The Welsh Labour First Minister said that the Westminster Tories cut the Welsh budget by £1.3 billion in real terms in 2023 taking into account inflation with higher costs and wages. The Scottish government said that the Westminster Tories have cut their budget in real terms because of inflation, increased costs and higher wages. English councils including Tory ones have said that their budgets have been cut because of inflation and wage increases which have not been met by the Westminster Tories. The UK people have suffered from Tory austerity since 2010 causing a rise in homelessness, destitution and a massive rise in the number of food banks with people frightened of heating or eating. Remember the then Tory prime minister David Cameron's slogan we are all in it together what a joke. The Joke is on the UK people as the rich ( including Tory MPs) get richer and the poor get poorer. By the way England is in deficit. You say rich politicians you just have to look at the ex Tory Chancellor of the Exchequer and Tory party chairman Nadhim Zahawi who was appointed by serial liar Boris Johnson. Tory Nadhim Zahawi had to pay the Inland revenue nearly £5 million tax including a £1 million penalty for tax avoidance. Or look at Tory lord Michael Mone with the Tory VIP PPE contracts gaining her £29 million in a trust fund for PPE that the NHS couldn't use because of its poor standard.

Sturgeon's constant tv appearances during the pandemic were for her just doing what she has always done to be seen and heard! With regard to the discharge of elderly people from hospital to care homes etc. at Sturgeon's behest either untested for covid-19 or having tested positive , it has been said on a number of occasions that elderly people in the snp's mindset were more inclined to vote to stay in the union, so were they being deliberately killed off and replaced with all the immigrants they want brought in who might be more inclined to vote for the snp's view of independence - a Scotland with no Scots in it ? Perhaps, that's one of the reasons for all the deletions of messages.

They have lured my younger son abroad, he is dusabked and vulnerable. He feard he would die if he didnt leave. The Police left him to suffer a glass bottle being struck over his head as he had sough their assistance when sat with friends on a nightbout. The asailant was an old school friend. Michael knew it was out of character for thus lad but he was out if his face at the time in Daveto's night club. The lad had been told lies about Michael and his las. He found out later it all was untrue and hed been insighted to hurt a friend behind his back as he sought to pritect his friends at the table. The Police did nothing, making excuses that they had been given wrongful infirmation of his where abouts etc. Days after my son keft they were ringing my doorbell sighting him to attend a tribunal as a witness to the same lads violance on the man who started the rumours and severely injuring him. Michael said he can't leave the house without an insadent happening. So he tarely did all last two years. He wouldn't walk his dog as it was like a red flag to idiots nor drive his car. My heart is broken. Niw hes being tajen for all they can get from a family who has staljed him on line since 2016 around.

The testing kits they sent my daughter and her partner never worked on both occasions. My daughter got covid which ended in pneumonia then Pleurisy Pneumonia two winters past then again this spring. Sadly she was months pregnant this spring and caught gestational diabeties as she was so run down. I thought she'd die struggling through this at her end of term as she atruggled so much and I'd loose my daughter and her baby. I think that was the plan. The baby struggles daily with milk intolerance and gripping pains all night and day.
