  • Still waiting on my first pair (Ordered in October). One thing I think would help a lot would be adding a descriptions in each picture describing the main options in each of the sample boots pictures. At least the color/leather with maybe some other popular options.

  • Recently placed an order for my first pair of Nick's. Black waxed flesh, vbar sole, thurman (munson) last. Can't wait!!

  • Just ordered my first pair and luckily Nick's awesome customer service allowed me to make changes 3 times before finalizing the order! I thought I had everything figured out, but as I kept researching videos and forums, I learned more about the different sizings, lasts, soles, etc. just as you mentioned. Definitely a rabbit hole and looking forward to receiving them

  • Great job, ladies! Q: Can Nick's provide a photo-real quick guide for leather selection? Also, a reference to the specs of the boots being displayed, aka "as shown" in any given description of said boot? If I really like the Tan Tanker on display for Tanker, it would be nice to know that exact spec to order it. I'm a truck driver from AZ, who's been looking to buy a pair of Nick's Boots since 2021. Various circumstances have thwarted my attempts, such as sizing, cost, and the point you emphasized: customization. August 2023, I delivered a load to Spokane Valley, so bobtailed over to your store & got sized (8F) in-house by Micah. I now have a sizable warchest, so can dump $550-850 on a pair of boots and not be spreading myself thin. BUT NOW I've the arduous task of sifting through the leathers offered, as well as not knowing what they are. Hopeful Soon-to-be Buyer.

    • When you got sized by Nicks in house, did they measure your foot width standing up, or sitting down with no weight on your feet? I know to use a tailors tape and wrap it around the widest part of your foot, but dont know if i should be standing or sitting. Thanks.

    • @@silasmorand8173 standing. You can do both and there will be a noticeable difference. We walk in the upright position with our feet bearing our weight, so standing for measurement is best.

    • @@silasmorand8173 I don't think it'd matter too much as it's circumference and that's not something that'll change much. Maybe in the slightest, but honestly just wear thick boot socks. They'll be snug out of the box, but the biggest issue is if you can't feel your toes or if your heel is squished into the heel counter. I had to return mine, but they will offer 1 free return, minimal questions asked if you can't work with the sizing and you can go up half a size or whatever you need. Knowing what I know now, I'd be a little bit generous on the sizing of my feet and add 1/8"-1/4", so take that for what it's worth. For the OC'er, Get the 1964. Any color you prefer. You're driving, operating pedals, so you'd want something that isn't going to strain your ankles pushing in a clutch or feathering the accelerator pedal for hours a day.

    • They do! Heads up that while I don't work for Nicks, I am a lady who's thinking about buying a second pair because I like my first pair so much! One of the main things to be aware of if that if you're shorter than like 5'7", you'll want to send in measurements of your calf for any boot that's taller than a 5". This is because Nicks boots (and most PNW boots) expect us to be tall men with longer legs and don't realize our legs flare out with our calf muscles a little lower. They don't have different styles for men vs women but you can make very pretty custom options. If you're looking for a cowboy style boot, their packer boot has a very pointed toe and angled heel. The angled heel can be a little awkward because the heel is cut at a greater angle than many women's cowboy boots I've tried before, but if you're already used to that style, I don't see why you wouldn't love it. It is a lace-up style though. If you prefer pull-on boots, their new chore boot is currently on sale, and their chelsea boot comes in a lot of nice colors. But those may not be pretty enough to be dancing shoes. The packer DEFINITELY is though. I am biased because I ordered one :) All Nicks boots that aren't rough-side-out leather clean up amazingly. The boots I ordered from them are the most beautiful I've ever had! I hope this helps!!

  • This "repairable" business model doesn't work when you charge $300 to ship a pair of boots
