The 400 Suite at the CHATEAU | Replacing the original panelling.

Bonjour à tous, in this episode at the chateau the question that everyone is asking, WHY THE 400 SUITE? Terry explains why they have decide to number the suites rather that naming them like all the other chateaus do. Plus, Terry and Tracy fit the insulation to the back of the panels and fit them back in place, getting the room back to how they started, minus the ceiling.

About us,
We are a family from the North-East of England following our dream to restore a beautiful abandoned french Château. We discovered the heart stopping Château De Lalacelle in summer of 2020, this beautiful architectural monument Is set in the countryside of North-West France.
The moment we visited the Château we all fell in love, from the beautiful sweeping landscape and forests, to its stunning untouched interiors and magnificent spiral staircase in the turret.
Unfortunately Château De Lalacelle has been abandoned for a number of decades so will need a lot of restoration and DIY.
Please subscribe and follow our families journey, with the up’s and down’s in moving from the UK to rural France and restoring this beautiful building to its former glory.

  • Just a little Canadian trivia for you. The Kings Highway system in Ontario Canada ( where I'm from) is commonly referred to as the 400 series of highways with the longest being the 401 ( east to west 828 km) and the second biggest is highway 400 ( south to north from Toronto at 226 km). So even though your suites are based on the Titanic era's decor (and not our highway system 😂) there will always be a soft spot in this Canadian girl's heart for Chateau Lalacelle's suites! ❤

  • My brother had met the daughter of one of the survivors of the Titanic. The father was returning from a fur buying trip in Russia. He had told her stories about the trip and passengers. I had found a wonderful book about the ship and sent it to her. Her fathers name appeared on the passenger manifest. Needless to say my brother had amazing talks with her. Wish I had written down all of this before my brother passed away 5 years ago.

We live on a 32 acre vineyard property in the California mountains and due to a very rough winter, our days are filled with the cleanup of downed trees and branches. We also had storm damage to one whole side of our house that resulted in the complete demolition of our kitchen. I enjoyed and was inspired by your vlogs that showed both kitchens being created from empty spaces. This episode was also awesome and I hope to come stay in one of your suites some day. Thank you for sharing your journey with us! 😘
