    • You cant make a net big enough to really impact the ecosystem that much. We can hunt species of land animals to extinction, sure, we dont wanna do that. But the ocean is too damn big. Way too big to accidentally catch all of any one species of fish, even over time in these little nets.

    • I agree . I think no one should long line fish . But I think if you come to buy a new net , it should be mandatory that you turn in the old net . If you don't have the old net then you cannot have a new net . This should be a law. All nets should have tagged numbers that match a commercial fishing boat . . And if a net is found in waters you pay a severe fine. .
