It’s Saturday morning, so you know what time it is… Time for another Mat vs Yianni showdown!!
We’ve got a BMW X6M Competition going up against a Lamborghini Urus (no prizes for guessing who’s in which car)! These two SUV heavyweights are going head-to-head over the quarter-mile, and when looking at stats alone, you might think it’ll be an easy win for the Urus!
Under the Lambo’s bonnet, you’ll find a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 which can deliver 650hp and 850Nm. As for the BMW, it may pack a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8, but it only puts down 625hp & 750Nm! But that’s not all… The Urus is also 200kg lighter than the X6M!
Now, of course, we know the BMW has one trick up its sleeve - an EPIC launch system! The question is, will it be enough to snatch the win on this wet track? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!

  • I bought my first BMW the X6M Competition and it is an amazing car, they got it right! My only issue is the speedometer is seems to be broken it won't go under 100 MPH whatever freeway I am on.

    • Us o.g watchers know it was the dual clutch from previous BMWs that doesn't launch well at all. All knew BMWs after I'd say the f10 and f80s sedan wise and after 2017 suv wise they launch really well with and without M XDrive

    • The reaction time doesn't really matter because the Lambo's extra 25hp, 100nm and 137kg less should've been enough to compensate for the "slower" start, at least in theory, but they weren't.

    • Soft limiter means the revs on the engine are limited while at standstill so that you cant make noise.

  • The soft limiter might’ve been because engine was cold or you’re not in sport+ (not sport). These engines take a while to warm up, soft limiter protects

  • I have a question and wanted to get your honest opinion: BMW X6 M Competition 2024 or New Porsche Cayenne S 2024? Which one you would recommend to purchase? I have the impression the X6M Competition is way more athletic and aggressive on the exterior design, higher than the Cayenne I guess, which I like. Cayenne looks smaller and less "robust", less "muscular". I own a X6 M 2021 and I am not sure if I upgrade to the X6 M Competition or go for the new porsche. Thoughts?
