Who’s ready for an INCREDIBLE performance SUV drag race?!
Mat’s in the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, and he’s lining up against a Lamborghini Urus, a Jeep Trackhawk, a BMW X6M and a Tesla Model X!!
It’ll come as no surprise to any of you that the stats are absolutely wild! Starting with the Porsche, it’s powered by a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 that can deliver 640hp & 850Nm of torque. The Lambo alongside it is mighty similar, with the same size engine deliver 650hp & 850Nm of torque.
Then we come to the Trackhawk, which easily has the largest engine in the line-up - a 6.2-litre supercharged V8 which puts out 707hp & 875Nm of torque! It’s one of the heaviest cars here, though, weighing in over 2.4 tonnes!
Finally, we have the BMW & the Tesla. Under the X6M’s bonnet, you’ll find a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 which can produce 625hp & 750Nm, while the dual electric motors in the Model X producing power that eclipses the field, putting out 780hp & 1,140Nm.
Surely this has to be our greatest SUV drag race ever, right?! There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!

I think his is a little tuned/upgraded and it also depends on the driver. Yianni is really good at launching, he might not have done as bad.
The reaction time of that Jeep Trackhawk driver on the last quarter mile run was horrendous!
honestly it looked like everyone else jumped the launch while the trackhawk got the launch perfectly on time
And it's funny that's the time they used when the jeep was running faster before. The driver was definitely asleep at the wheel on that race.

I am pretty shure they are just cheating on the numbers. It is an Urus with a different outfit. So it can't perform that much different, except they just pump in way more power via software and "lie" to everyone. If you give the Urus and the Cayenne to a tuner, the Urus will win because their engine will perform with the same output, but the Urus is lighter.

On porsche how it worked for me is, put it in Drive and click both paddle shifters until the M of manuan or D start flashing do not hold the paddle shifters just make them click once at the same time.

Very cool to see these cars all on one strip side by side! Surprises me how the Urus is underperforming. We measured it at 11.37 and the X5M at 11.82 1/4 mile. Trackhawk and Turbo GT are coming soon..
Unfortunately being a rental car I’m sure the Lamborghini has already lost some Horsepower during its life as well as the center caps on the wheels lol. Would like to see an Urus as in same condition as the turbo gt in the next match up, I believe the Porsche will win again anyway

This is pretty awesome considering I have a new Porsche Turbo. I haven't track raced it, but makes a fun daily. Porsche definitely is a great brand, insane quality, they cater a little to the low-end market with the Macan but I'm sure people love saying they own a Porsche for $60K vs the near $200K in a Turbo.

They are all very quick. But the aftermarket for the jeep is insane. Bolton and a race gas tune will get another 150 plus hp out of that jeep but I like them all. If I had to choose I'd take the porsche GT

@Erin Xiomara the plaid does not pull in standard traffic man, it could only set that 1.99 0-60, on a prepped drag strip, with a foot roll out, 90%+ battery, and about 15 minutes of heating up the battery. In normal traffic it has the same time as the normal performance really

There is a naughty method of bypassing the rev limiter on VAG cars with certain DSG boxes... If you hold the gear selector between P and R (in the dead zone in between) it gets confused and allows you to redline! This 100% works on the MQB platform (Mk7 / 7.5 Golf, Mk6 Polo, S3 etc)

It might be difficult, but I think the SUVs should have an additional drag race round full-ballast. I think the differences would showcase which brands tuned their performance for the SUV's use-case.

I'm a 28 year-old stuck in a dead end job with little to no social life, who at this rate won't be able to afford anything with the Lamborghini brand in my entire lifetime.... Yet I still clicked on the video as if it would be a genuinely helpful and informative guide. Well, one can dream, can't he? Though in retrospect I'd rather have a Murcialago LP-640 or Aventador S, because while I will one day be middle-aged, I'll never be a soccer mom.

Maybe Porsche has a better tuned up gears and gear shift. It looks like other cars have some limitation that doesn't allow to express their full potential. Still missing the test of fastest run in a curve to see which has better stabiity. And maybe fastest lap on a short but curvy circuit.

It's just impressive what Porsche has been building the last couple of years. They were already the benchmark but it looks like they took it to a whole new level. And must say I am also impressed with the BMW beating the Urus.

That was cool to see. But I'm pretty sure that trackhawk can launch way harder, probably still get passed on the top end but would be a lot better of a race
The Trackhawk is quirky from a roll. You have to put the shifter in manual, manually force the downshift with the paddle and then immediately put the shifter back to auto mode.
Regardless of what car was quickest I would choose the jeep trackhawk, true it not as aerodynamic an after 130mph acceleration is slower because of this, but in UK speed limit is 70 mph on motorway an 60mph on normal roads so would never be an issue here if you had one, love the look of the trackhawk 👌👌👍😁🏴
Fun thing about the trackhawk is that you can set launch control RPM anywhere from 1800 to 3500, so that's not even the best launch it's capable of.

BMW always short changes their cars on power numbers.
We saw the difference between the normal M5 competition who is already a crazy fast car and the CS M5.We could expect the same with every model who gets the upgrade.

Cayenne turbo gt is to SUVs what the M5 CS is to sedans. They are like the suv and sedan version of super cars. And both come in grey with weird bronze coloured wheels.

The torque curve for that car at different engine speeds (RPM) must be interesting. It might have a very flattish and high curve. So it rarely runs out of pulling power. Probably only at very high rpms. The torque matters, BHP's are for getting high speed and weight. matters.
It really impresses me the X6m ..

@@ninobrown1309 - that may be the case, but, decades ago when HP got listed, manufacturers and journalists wold inform us what standard the HP number was based on. How it got benchmarked. The US HP gave a high number (SAE), then BHP was a bit lower IIRC and next the German standard (DIN) gave a yet again lower number. Measured "engine only" on a bench takes the drive train out of the equation. So, bottom line, we should totally ignore these numbers as long as they are not wheel horses. IMO
