Ask and you shall receive. It seems nearly inevitable that BOS-TB meet up in about 5 weeks. In my view, BOS/TB/TOR/CAR are all nearly even favorites to represent the East in the cup finals. If it were only short series...or one game matchups....I think BOS would be your favorite...but in 7 games? Yeah...any of those four are more than capable. Should be a really fun playoff season. Go B's!
@@bqeberle Bruins are overwhelming favorites, but it's STILL difficult for me to pick anyone over Tampa in a 7 game series... that clash would epic. Canes absolutely have a legit chance, even after losing Svechnikov, but they're 3rd favorites IMO. Leafs are immensely talented and could go all the way if they get hot, but until they prove that they can win a playoff series it's impossible for me to pick them. Either way, the Eastern Conference is going to be a bloodbath!

Fantastic game from both teams. Tampa had a lot of chances but they just couldn't bury them. Boston just doing what they have done all season long (ignore that one blip against Chicago tho).

Brain fan here, while that may be true Ullmark had to stop like 5 crazy scoring chances and got post and had lose puck go across crease and thank God as B fan we got it out of there and gave up another short handed goal which is happening a lot lately so could easily have gone other way, I just hope B's go into Playoffs during up powerplay and turnovers, I do believe though as long as we get Hall and Foligno back and they don't miss a beat I'll feel better, awesome game though, now gotta see if they can avoid getting smoked by Hurricanes again in this second meeting coming up

Agree....and this is the rub with the Bruins this season: Not only is their 4th line good....they're simply destroying their opponents' 4th lines. It's not close. Depth...depth....depth....this is what the 2023 Bruins are all about. It's not simply a matter of getting lucky against Ullmark or stopping Pasta/Bergie/Marchand.....it's Orlov...Zacha...Lindholm....and, my fave, old man Krejci. They can score on you with any of their lines....and if Ullmark is on, eh....good luck. We'll see, though....I think TOR/TB/CAR could beat them in a 7 game series for sure....especially TB because of their goalie. TOR can out score you....but they can (and will) cough it up. I think B's can outlast TOR in 7. CAR os physical and a bad matchup for Boston....can't wait for today's tilt.

I suppose slight edge to Maroon-the-Goon in this dust-up. But at the end of the game, Hathoway emerges with the game-winning goal. So, WINNER!!
Slight edge? 🤡 Maroon is much bigger and Hathaway typically only picks on school girls but it was nice hand eye coordination on his goal.

Tampa showed that when you have a suck a** defense you can't beat a better team. The offense had a 2 man advantage and as usual, if you don't shoot the puck, you don't score goals. Poor Vassey, he's the only thing that kept this game from being a bloodbath. Thanks to the refs for looking as if they were paid off in the 1st period giving Boston a power play most of the 1st period.

The Bruins winning only because their goaltender was outstanding needs to stop. Still too much sloppy hockey and still anemic on the power play. They had some good moments otherwise.
