You didn't show Albert Haynesworth's infamous "lowlight" against Michael Vick, where he fell and refused to stand up.
Naw it's when he stepped on Andre Gurodes head with his steel spikes.
@@Manny-nm8dh atleast he seem to care when he stomped on someone somewhat lmao i know what play he's talking about its 2010 Monday night Shanahans first year in Washington
Or when he was “injured” and had the cart come out to him only to return to the field 3 plays later
Best free agency move by far cutting Kyle fuller for more cap room to sign Andy dalton
As a Broncos fan I’m happy
Obviously
Joke right?
Such a Bad signing......
Don’t remind me......The Bears are the new Cleveland Browns.
RIP Kevin Greene. You were one hell of a player
Here we go Blitzburg!!!! you might be a panthers or rams fan idk bruh
Pats fan bro
Unlike Reggie White, Derrick Thomas and Junior Seau, Greene lived to see his bust in the Hall of Fame.
Kevin Greene got 97.5 sacks after the age of 30
Man, I still remember how fearsome he was in Blitzburgh with Kirkland and my fav Greg Lloyd. What a trio that was, and I’m a Ravens fan
It's crazy how much free agency has evolved and how big these contracts have gotten
To think Kevin King is making about as much as Primetime with the cowboys is crazy
inflation everywhere except future rb contracts
Still barely 1% of their tv deal
define "superstar"....
@@ericsmith6823 goat comment 🏅
I’m surprised Asante Samuel isn’t on this list: Asante Samuel was already a two time Super Bowl champion cornerback for the Pats when he hit the market in Spring 2008. The Eagles scooped him for a 6 year/56 million dollar deal. He rewarded the Eagles with 3 consecutive Pro Bowl appearances from 2008-2010 and 23 interceptions during his time with the Eagles.
And now his son is about to ball out for LAC
Idk why but I feel like he is blackballed shudd be a hall of famer by now
We all know what happened with Haynesworth 😔
Funny part is look it up, the bucs offered the most money!
I would have added Asante Samuel signing with the Eagles in 2008 and Rodney Harrison signing with the Patriots in 2003
Asante had the mannings number except for 07 super bowl clinching interception...
Harrison 😏
Albert haynesworth, one of the biggest wasted contracts in nfl history
Albert haynesworth is a evil clone of Vince Wilfork
Ikr
.
'
@@stolenlaptop2407 at least wilfork won 2 rings lol
You forgot to mention that Deion signed with the ravens and played two more seasons before turf toe forced him to finally retire in the offseason of the 2005-2006 season
Brady at 43 did what no other player did. Win The super bowl and SB MVP on 2 teams. Crazy especially at 43.
With all due respect to Brady, Manning, and Brees, Reggie White signing with Green Bay is still the most monumental moment in the history of NFL free agency. The fact that he signed with the league's smallest market when he could've gone to New York, LA, or Miami instead is the reason why NFL free agency is what it is today.
facts ! Made free agents wanna go there and people forget the 96 defense was number one in the league and no excuse for 97 but we only had 4 lineman that game and was gassed and they still almost went back to back but the broncos went back to back instead...
Yup. Reggie is the definition of a franchise changing talent. Holmgren's arrival combined with Favre's emergence got them to 9-7 and just shy of a playoff spot in 92, but signing Reggie was what turned them into a consistent contender, then they became champions.
@@ericsmith6823 Off topic: I always wondered what would've happened if Sterling Sharpe didn't get hurt and wasn't forced to retire early after the 94 season. Could've had Sterling and Shannon in the same Super Bowl. Obviously they won one without him, but I wonder what they could've done with him.
Yep! I tell my packer friends this all the time. Reggie was the most important player for the packers. Him signing with Greenbay attracted other players to that market. Before that, big name players did not want to go to a small market, small town Greenbay.
No doubt it was the most monumental. I still think Brees has the nod for best free agent signing in terms of what a team got from him. How many teams can say they picked up a free agent and had them deliver nearly a decade and a half of pro bowl or higher play? Not to mention taking a team that had 1 playoff win in almost 4 decades of existence and giving them 9 wins in 15 and having them as contenders near yearly in that same amount of time?
As a packers fan i love the Reggie white and Charles Woodson memories!
The biggest free agency move was Nathan peterman(the GOAT) to the raiders
And the resigning
i’m not sure why this isn’t talked abt more it rly was a genius move
These jokes not funny get a life nerd
@@dashahndraper4948 that’s why I have 50 likes and you have wait for it.... 0
Uh.............…
Peyton Manning to Denver and Tom Brady to TB are the greatest free agent signings ever!!!
Don't forget the minister to gb
Drew Brees
Crazy how much Manning accomplished in those 4 years after that signing. And Brady is already on his way to doing the same.
@@dorianb1877 Brees is 3rd imo because Manning accomplished more from 2012-2014 then Brees did his whole career
Drew Brees wasn't a superstar signing at the time. He was a good QB coming off a fairly major shoulder injury, that was the main reason the Chargers moved onto Rivers. After Brees signed with the Saints he just kind of put it all together and THEN became an elite QB
Ok...
Accurate
I mean shit he was a pro bowler but you’re right
Fairly major…… lmao
Thought they were gonna mention Plaxico’s nightclub incident when he said “you all know what happened next”
I was like "he shot himself?" Shows his Super Bowl catch🙃
Same haha
This video overlooks Jared Allen. He was a stud with the Chiefs and nearly broke Michael Strahan's single season sack record after signing with the Vikings as a free agent.
Die hard Vikings fan here. He was a trade originally for a number 1 and a couple of 3s.
Everyone overlooks Jared Allen
Love the content NFL Throwback!
when I see those 90s Pats uniforms, I think Drew Bledsoe getting sacked. glad NFL Throwback agrees.
Yep, 8 step drop step to sack
At first I wondered how you could possibly cover all the big free agent signings, but then I remembered free agency has only been around since 1993. Crazy to think there was a time without it.
The game was better without it
So what happened before it?
Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, and Kurt Warner were the best Superstar QB Free Agent Signings.
Nfl throwback always coming with these interesting videos
I watch the mlb, nba, and nfl and despite me watching the nfl the least, they by far have the best youtube comtent
"Just ridiculous"; there isn't a better expression to describe TB's career.
Great videos
Wow how influential free agents can be🤩
Yay thx for ❤️ing my comment I’m a big fan
Manning had 131 tds from 2012-14... Elway had 300 in his whole career
Manning had 140 TDs in 57 starts even counting his awful 2015 regular season. Elway had 158 TDs in his 1st 10 NFL Seasons.
And Reggie played for the panthers in like 2000
Ya even as a diehard packers fan who grew up during the sean Jones and Seth Joyner and egune Robinson years i forget he came back on a bad panthers team im trying to remember why he came back to them who had Chris weinke at qb I wanna say former Heisman at 28 years old in college
Albert was a real weird situation because when he played with us he was Injured a lot but on the Field he was a Monster. He never gave up on plays that I seen In Tennessee or even heard about and then he goes to Washington and basically gave up but I think personally at that time The Redskins Coaching staff wasn't player friendly (That's what I heard) and they made him play 4-3 I think at DE instead of 3-4 Nose Tackle but still no excuse for giving up. If It was that bad he should have demanded a trade.
Bills adding WR James Lofton also from GB in 1990 I think was huge too.. He completed the K Gun offense as the deep threat
Albert Haynseworth was the FIRST Washington player to fall to Mike Shannahan's hubris. This man had a premier 4-3 DT and tried to fit him into the 3-4 Nose tackle then 3-4 DE. Not only that but the Vendetta he had against him peaked against the Bears when the BEARS were applauding Haynseworth being pulled from the game because he was dominating them. That year the team was 4-4 when Haynesworth played and 0-8 when he didn't, but he's a Free Agent bust because Shannahan slandered and sabotaged him. He ended up doing the same to RG3 before being fired.
Your videos are great
Think you could put together a "huge hits" compilation from older eras? I feel like the only hit videos on youtube show impacts from 2010 onwards
It’s so nice to see a Southern Miss grad and beast like Adalius Thomas get some recognition. The man was a beast and was great in Bal and still good in NE.
One tweak I would make is including Gilmore’s DPOY award in 2018 👍
Yeah it's odd they didn't include that. Obviously this video is super current so I'm shocked they missed that.
He was on probably the last south Carolina team to be great the one that played cam newton in the 2010 sec championship
They did they just didn’t announce it
They forgot a few recent big name signings too. Desean Jackson in 2014, Josh Norman 2016, Calais Campbell 2017, Cam Newton 2020 were all big misses
This is a certified hood classic
I love NFL THROWBACK🔥
I really swear while the narrator says when talking about Plaxico Burress "and we know what happened next" would be about his gun incident lol
I know he wasn't a huge money free agent signing but Rodney Harrison should be on this list because of how much of an X factor he was on the defense. As much as I loved Lawyer Milloy, when the Patriots signed Harrison and released Milloy, that was a springboard for the next 2 Super Bowls. Harrison could do everything on defense and thats the way Belichick used him. 28-4 the first two seasons with Harrison and 2 Super Bowl titles. One of the best free agent signings in Patriots history.
Albert haynesworth was worth every Penny💰💰
2:51 Model of consistency- NFL Throwbacks Model of efficiency- Lex Luthor
When he said we all know what happened next with Plexico, I thought he was going talk about shooting himself in the thigh. Lol.
👁 like it Great, fun choice of topic
Y’all shoulda put that clip of Murray in where he was playing for the Cowboys against the Eagles and he flattened the d lineman, number 75/78. Put his helmet and shoulder right into the that man’s chest. Vicious.
It's Blake Bortles of course 🤣🤣
I’ll never forget that the patriots only thought Curtis Martin was worth 6 years $12 million and he goes on to a HOF career with the jets to stick it to Kraft and parcells. Bad judgment on the pats to think Martin wasn’t worth much
They won Super Bowls without Martin. I think Martin made a mistake. He could have won 3 with Brady instead of wasting his talents with Jets who didn’t win anything with him.
Stick it to Kraft by being part of the dumpster fire of the AFC East and watching him win three rings.
patriots couldn't match it i forgot how Parcells manipulated that move at the time
@@jcore0981 pats weren’t great when Martin left. Bledsoe gave them relevance, but nobody thought the 1997 pats were going to be super bowl contenders. Obviously it worked out for Martin and eventually for the Patriots but people were pissed that we let a fantastic running back leave and insulted him with an offer that was less than Bledsoe’s signing bonus
@@johnny__topside But it didn't work out for Martin. He never did anything near the success the Pats had in the 2000s. He stuck it to them how? Cause if he was with the Pats he would've gotten 3 rings.
No love for Justin Smith? A first round raft pick by the Bengals and was signed by the 49ers in 2008 to a six-year contract for $45 million, including $20 million in guarantees. He would be the rock of that defense, along with Patrick Willis. The 49ers of 2010-2013 would have the best run defense in NFL history over a similar time span, including many other records. Smith would come in 2nd behind Suggs in voting for Defensive Player of the Year in 2011, in what many would call a snub, as Smith would dominate in the playoffs against the Saints and Giants and be named the Defensive Player of the year by Sports Illustrated, and Pro Football Focus. Nicknamed "Cowboy", Justin Smith will no doubt be inducted into the hall of fame.
Your right him and antoine Winfield who spurned the jets last second the sign with the vikings were examples of free agents not as big time but were worth every penny they got paid , nate clements wasn't bad but not a top 5 corner in the league
He wasn't a snub moron
As a packers fan with Reggie white who everybody wanted and Charles woodson who didn't wanna play in green bay at the time..... talk about 2 major super bowl pieces and except for qbs who were signed like manning and favre and brees and brady no free agent made bigger impacts on defense than Reggie white and woodson and I'm still mad we never got Julius peppers a ring who should of got one in 2014 when the packers had their best defense this century besides the 2010 one
Title: What Happened to EVERY Superstar Free Agent Signing. Me: Hasn't every Superstar been a free agent and been signed!
When I saw this video on my feed I was quick to pounce.
The craziest part is them saying Deion signed an unprecedented 5 yr 35 million dollar deal. These dudes now are all making near 20 per as a top guy and 9/10 couldn’t hold Deion’s jock so just another thing they should be thankful for him for is pushing the money forward both as a fan draw and positionaly.
It's wierd that you included Mario Williams and Malik Jackson over guys like Desean Jackson, Steve Smith, Josh Norman, and Cam Newton
Giants go back to back if Plaxico doesn't shoot himself
I agree
Plaxico just signed a extension off his 2005 contract just before he shot himself i believe and I remember they outbid the vikings for him in 05
Brett FAVRE on the Vikings SKOL 💜💛💜 awesome
As a packers fan the only reason I don't cringe when seeing those highlights is the facts rodgers got revenge the next year and favre finally had moss that he always wanted and it was disaster
Still Keep On Losing😂🖕🏽🚮
I thought Revis was a free agent when he signed with patriots?
He was
@@johnny__topside ya it was more on a prove it deal after barley being on bucs
Lol I love it “Just ridiculous.”
They're acting like everybody didn't already think Brady was the goat
John Riggins became a HOF and won Super Bowl XVII MVP.
Sooo... It seems like this was the right move for the overwhelming majority of these guys. 🤔🤔
Peyton Manning won his 5th MVP (more than any other player) in Denver and became the only player to win the MVP with 2 different teams and did it with a single-season record of 5,477 passing yards and 55 passing touchdowns. Two years earlier, he was out for the season with season-ending neck surgery and was questionable if he would play again
He was the third QB to start a Super Bowl with two different teams: Craig Morton (DAL, DEN), Kurt Warner (SLR, ARZ) came before. He is the first of two starting QBs to win Super Bowls with 2 different teams, the other being TB12
deion actually played for the ravens too
Remember...Cris Carter: Dolphins Antonio Freeman: Dolphins Dion Sanders: Ravens Tim Brown: Bucs
Tom Brady to the bucs is greatest signing in history 7 rings for the goat 🐐
After 1 year? Hold the phone.
N9
I don't even remember Julius Peppers playing for Chicago
Godamn this list kills me as an eagles fan!
Best Manning , Brady , cunningham , Reggie white, favre
what about Demarcus Ware
Update: brees has become the first quarterback to pass for 80,000 yards
kurts great but the mans had boldin and fitz as receivers almost anyone could come in and do well with that offense lol
Do we discredit Steve Young and Montana playing with Jerry Rice and Terrell Owens?
You do know he also played for the Rams too, right?
I feel like the Eagles free agency hasn’t been that good hahaha. Asante Samuel was a good signing. Brandon Brooks was good also 👍🏿
Can you please do a video on the last few weeks of the 2013 nfl season? A wild playoff finish particularly in the nfc north and nfc east?
Demarcus Ware and Justin Smith?
Rip Kevin Greene. Gone way to soon
Troy Vincent? Where are you?
RIP Kevin Greene
Cool
What about the eagles signing of Michael Vick how they forget that
Bruh they didn’t even mention that Javon Kearse went to the super bowl with the eagles in his first year with them. He wasn’t as good with the eagles but still why not mention that.
The GOAT is Peyton Manning. He did have a two decades of top 5 defenses like Brady did.
Manning sucked in super bowls
It is interesting that Washington, the Jets and Miami appears several times as teams that pickup free agents.
Didn’t Mike Wallace play for the Ravens and Eagles?
They really stretched that "Superstar " label quite a bit with some of these guys!?!
When the Packers cut Aaron Rodgers AND Davante Adams to sign Sam Darnold
I guess tom brady can be added to this..
No Blake Martinez??
Free Agency is so Affected
Kinda funny how many of these are intradivisional
Crazy how Tom Brady even switches teams better than Peyton Manning
Fr
No real surprise you don't mention bountygate at all. Favre and the Vikings got screwed and Brees only has a ring because his team was intentionally trying to hurt opposing players.
Eagles done Reggie White dirty, should have never got rid of him. Wished he retired and Eagle.
How is Rich Gannon on this list? He was nowhere near a “superstar” before going to the Raiders.
Can’t believe the giants let Landon go
What about Demarcus Ware
bruh philly aint had no luck with free agency lmao
when odell got traded to the browns
You think Kirk Cousins actually produced. Even his ex head coach knows he sucks. I think it's also the reason Jim Harbaugh didn't want to coach the Vikings.
I'd add LaRoi Glover to the Cowboys And Nnamdi to the Eagles
Chargers went all in on Manning and he cried to much so then they went with Rivers lol
Where is Khalil Mack?
We all know what really happened with Plaxico Burress
They left out Demarcus Ware.
