  • Glass breaking tip: cover the glass with painters tape, then begin. The glass will break but the tape will stop the tiny shards from becoming tiny airborne weapons.

    • What about using a glass cutter at the start where the glass aught to break for best effect? And of course wear some protection as well as use tape to have a nice thick brown paper over the whole pane.

    • Yes. You don't want to inhale glass dust into your lungs. Would you put contact paper or tape on both sides of the glass?

  • Anna asked us to vote on our favorite renderings and I said #4, definitely, without question that is, until today. The two submissions Philip showed us were gorgeous and both perfectly suit the space. So good-by to last week's number 4 pick and hello to either one of these latest submissions. If it were me, I would be unable to choose between these two exquisite submissions. Compliments to the remarkably talented designers who submitted their renderings. We in You Tubelandia are in awe of you.

    • Function over form; they symmetry of the centralised ornate bath was nice, but I would rather have the view from the tub. A "dressing chair"in the other corner would create balance with another corner object; I know that bathtime created a relaxed time where my partner would come and sit and chat with me about things, not necessarily in the tub.

    • I love that all four walls were panelled in the bedroom. I loved both bathrooms. I really really loved that both included murals with trees. Please consider this for the bedroom at least. It makes the room appear so much larger and is so chic! The chateau is missing this! If you dont like these shown there are more modern tree murals available.

  • When I saw you covering your eyes while breaking glass, I was amazed by such a clever and so underated way of considering the "safety first" concept. It reminded me of an old guy who looked for gaz leaks with a lighted candel (I swear, it's a true story) Any chance he is a member of your family, Philipp ? Anyway, the room is improving really fast and I love the idea of bath and shower facing each other, each one with a garden view. Thanks for sharing !

Smack away! You can lift the cloth throughout the process to see where you still need to break. Good luck! And Philip, you need to put on safety glasses!

You use a magnet to to drag the wire above the ceiling to help reduce the frustration and time spent trying to fish wire in confined spaces. Hope this may help you and Anna with your renovations. P.S. my girlfriend and I love watching your videos! They help make the Sunday Scaries much more manageable!

Your home just continues to get more and more beautiful each step of the way with each room you complete. I doubt you’ll ever want to do this again but if you do, be sure somebody pays you lots and lots of money not only for your skill but for your artistry and beautiful design work. You bring joy to my heart as I watch you work, and bring new life to the “ bones of this Château”, but also the comical things you both say, as you put your video together. Thank you to the talented experts, who come to assist you in the renovation process. • Thank you for showing us Benoit's first mistake! You should place a plaque on that wall. 🥳From my long ago criminal 🤔 experience: Put masking tape on the opposite side of the pane of glass from your hammer. Make sure the glass is falling onto a tarp for easier cleanup. It will work itself into floorboards for bare feet to find years later. Do wear goggles, gloves, long sleeves and pants. That glass will splinter and work itself under your skin for months... (I worked in glass for many years.)

Les contraintes imposées par certains emplacements( pour l'eau, l' électricité, les fenêtres et les portes, les murs) vont de facto, vous conduire directement aux meilleures décisions. • Loving the solution of the sink at the back with shower and toilet behind. You should still be able to do the tub towards the window and have a lot of additional space for cabinets that way.

  • Ooooh! Wish I had known you were going to put up plasterboard in the bathroom. Did you know there's a special type of moisture resistant plasterboard made just for bathrooms? I wish I could have told you this last week or so. Then again, never in my life have I seen anyone plaster the sheetrock to the wall. I've only ever seen it screwed in, even on plaster walls. But it makes sense to use plaster on plaster walls. So, you taught me something. Thank you.

    • Same! I found that very intriguing! I've also only ever seen screws used.
