What an amazing garden developed thru sheer hard work and a grand plan..a perfect place for inspiration..but also knowing what your expertise is..renovating chateaux to become also amazingly beautiful….combining both is like taking a slice of inspiration from those who gone before …spending a perfect day with your girls and their grandparents…happy days to all..🌲🌿🌞🌿🌲
Dry comedy AND chateaux AND gardens? Yes please!
Who would of thought such HIGH quality content and film making would be on youtube. We are so lucky to have such wonderful videos from this channel.
Sue Hall Lovely day thanks for taking us with you Love Sue ❤❤❤🇬🇧❤❤❤ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
An astoundingly beautiful countryside , and the garden is simply a dream. If I had life over again I think I would give serious thought to living in France .
Nothing better than nature and the gorgeous flowers ....makes you feel so close to Heaven 💫 beautiful place🥰💐
Philipp, your filmmaking is just so much better than other vlogs. The scripting, editing, the way you frame each shot and capture the girls, really beautiful. If you’re taking votes from your viewers, I vote 1️⃣for the dog, 2️⃣donkey, then 3️⃣motorcycle.
Yes, I know Philipp doesn't mind being the silly one while the rest of the family makes fun of him, but I know that it is his editing, storytelling, and filmmaking that is creating such a wonderful vlog. The mild drama and humor completely adds to it.
But what about the boat? His dream boat? Maybe he decided he could get these three for cost of one boat ?😉
I just love Anna's dad He is absolutely the best ♥️
I'm binging your channel from the beginning, so that's why comments on old vlogs. If you get a donkey, you'll have to get two because a single lonely and depressed. A while ago I think I read some recommendations for you to watch Garden Answer for great gardening tips. They're in Colorado, but Laura is one of the best vloggers I've come across - other than you two of course. Her raised beds are so nice and her in ground cut flower garden is always a treat to look at, and she's just started an orchard.
Thank you for recommending this again. A peaceful way to end a Sunday evening.
My wife and I love watching your videos. I don’t know if anyone has mentioned it, but I have to say your music is always in excellent taste and adds to the pleasure of your videos. I have to mention this because there are so many vlogs in which the music is so irritating and such a distraction it ruins what otherwise would be an interesting and entertaining effort. Thank you.
Savor every moment. Time goes by so quickly.
Philip, you are such a sweet dad. Loved your interaction with the girls. Fun seeing Anna’s parents. Her dad makes me laugh.
Such a lovely & warm time with Anna’s parents.
Donkeys are easy to care for. I had a pet one when I was a little girl. Your daughters would love it and could take care of it.
Thanks for encouraging us to re-watch! It's so lovely to see color in the middle of the winter. Its nearly time to start to plan the garden for the season.
I personally like the idea of the motor bike topped with the donkey then the dog , Phillip, you need one for sure
Thank you for your solidarity!
Oh and thank you for those who shared details for all the different hydrangeas.
Thank you for posting again. I hadn't seen this and it absolutely deserves more views. One of my favorites 💞
Phillipp deserves a château donkey to guard the garden from marauding deer and boar! You two are doing such a fantastic job with the renovation, I know you will make an incredible and magical garden as well. And it will be a good way to spend twenty years.
I think a pond would look stunning in your garden
This is like something out of a fairy tail so magical
Philip, if you get a donkey you must get two. They do not thrive as solitary pets.
Totally agree.
also great at pulling wee carts for kids to have fun with,
It is the same with Motorbikes. I believe a Ducati and a KTM would get on well.

Another commenter suggested getting a puppy & young donkey together at the same time so they could grow up together & be best friends. Though I don't see a motorbike fitting in this mix.
What beautiful French gardens that was. Thank you for showing us the country side on the drive there as it was so scenic & beautiful too 💜
I have visited these gardens, they truly are gorgeous! My husband is French and has an uncle living in Normandy near Honfleur. Such a beautiful place!
Beautiful day, beautiful gardens and extra beautiful daughters. Phillip, have a master plan as he suggested but just start, you would be amazed how quickly the time goes by. Your film skills matched the spirit of the gardens.
So nice of you
What a beautiful day as a family. The garden was fabulous, the hydrangea was unbelievable, simply gorgeous. Loved the beach scene, nothing more beautiful than hearing children’s laughter. ❤️❤️❤️
😍...wieder ein toller Film, DANKE!!!🙋♀️😊💖
This must be one of the most beautiful gardens I have ever seen and most certainly made even more enchanting by the giggles and laughter of those two spirited "fairies" running around . Lovely to see you reunited with your parents. Thanks for sharing. Keep up the good work.
Anna favors her father in looks and mannerisms. ❤️ I can sense they are kindred spirits and very close.
I have just bought that hydrangea, it is called Vanilla Fraise and it is a paniculata hydrangea. It has done so well in its first year, it quite likes the sun. It grows on new growth, unlike a macrophylla hydrangea, so you can cut it back quite a bit.
It's on my shopping list already :)
thank you for the info on cutting it back as I have one an was too scared to prune it :)
Thanks for the info. I don't have one but boy do I want one😁👍🦘
@@HowToRenovateAChateaumine too. i work in a garden centre so yaaay
Mine is in bloom now. It’s amazing. Low maintenance other than cutting it back.
Thank you for sharing your family outing! The garden you visited is beautiful! And it is relevant to you and your chateau, as you and it share the same soil and climate. Of course, you must bear in mind that it takes time for a garden to develop! The owner gave you the secret: a master plan. Your girls steal all the scenes they are in!!! As a grandfather myself, I cannot get enough of them. A lovely day, and I very much appreciated having the chance to share, however vicariously, in the pleasure of seeing the verdant countryside and the seashore. Be well, and please keep the charming videos coming!
11:45 when the child sounds like she ends up in the pond!Super clever at editing!
You have such a beautiful place to live! And a beautiful family! Thank you for sharing it with us! It's so inspiring!🌺🍃
You must buy the dog and donkey together as babies and let them grow up together as donkeys are very social and need buddies as much as dogs. With those two your wildlife invader issues would soon end with a little training.
Agree! And also create a pub in the longhouse called "The Dog and Donkey"! Voilá, a perfect life!
Sounds lovely, but if you then take the dog into the house at night the donkey will be braying for its friend all night and you won't get a wink of sleep. Better get two donkeys. Twice the fun, and not that much more work.
@@pernille2389 That would be great!...But tbh I think we are really travelling deep into "Not Happening" space now! 😂
@@alexsilva-vn7jc no , I think it'll be downloaded by Anna😃
@@pernille2389 Working dogs sleep in the barn. Ticks and fleas...Lyme is NOT fun. Get a house dog for cuddles that doesn't roam.
Dad Joke yay! "This is A Maze -ing!" 😂😂😂
Thank you, Philip and Anna, for your vlogs! Of all the chateau series I began subscribing to during Covid, yours is hands-down my favorite. As an avid gardener in Marietta, Georgia USA, this one, in particular, was so refreshing and inspirational that I immediately made notes of what to plant next season. We share all the same plants as you do! Isn’t that great? Thank you again!!
Grandpa is funny and kids adorable.
What a special treat. Thank you so much for taking us on this gorgeous garden tour. Please plant some of those breathtaking pink & white hydrangeas. They are stunning. Love Anna’s parents-so sweet. Enjoy the remainder of their visit. I can’t wait to see Phillip’ master plan. I’m sure it will be awesome. Have a wonderful week and thanks again!
Where I live, you need a lot of good fertilizer to get that kind of abundance.
I don't know about the dog and the donkey, but I could totally imagine a couple of pheasants roaming in the garden!
The video of the garden and the beach were very beautiful indeed. A sensory feast. Thank you!
Merci de partager ces beaux paysages, c’est toujours un plaisir de regarder vos vidéos 👏👏👍💜😉
A lot of love in this one 😊 the girls, nature, nature, nature...
I loved the splash after Lily was being ‘thrown’ into the pond! Also, wonderful drone footage of the beach
Something different to look forward to. This is why I enjoy following this vlog. Keep safe.
Thank you, nice video production, and the classical music is perfect.
This might be the most beautiful vlog yet. Thank you.
Grand Family Outing!! Congrads because you show potential Vacationers to Your Chateau, what wonderful day trips they can make!! You all are very clever, I am amazed and pleased. Keep it up, like the little Family tension ploys, shame on You Philip!!
Yess, reminder on, thumbs up clicked, comment dropped, share on social media, these are the ways we can support them to make more great videos, looking forward to days installment :D
That garden is the stuff of dreams, and absolutely amazing that two people made and tend it.
🙌MAGICAL ..as always! Merci! I so look forward to watching your content! 🙌
I love Mom's response to Philip. No words, incredulous laugh, readable thought, "You've got to be kidding!?!" Such a beautiful garden and yes, Philip must have his donkey, LOL, but only if you get the girls a rideable chicken. 😁
Always a wonderful time!
I loved watching how much the children loved the garden. It was very beautiful, thanks for sharing!
Longwood started out just like this beautiful garden you visited.
My grandfather used to race horse and sulky like the one you met on the way to the garden. I remember seeing his silks he wore, the sulky and his trophy’s in the attic of the barn when I was little. The gardens were beautiful, thanks for taking us along. A donkey would keep the deer away from the trees and protect the property. Lol 🙋🏼
Yes, people do get donkeys to protect their livestock and property
This now has me longing for spring ❤ And I do hope that without the stress of preparing for guests you’ll have more time to spend on the chateau grounds this spring and summer. It will be lovely to see how you continue to develop them!
That was a very beautiful and inspiring vlog to watch, especially on a grey and chilly Monday in Ireland, thank you so much for sharing.
I say “dog before donkey”. Lovely garden tour and talk with the owner.
Donkeys live 25-30 years so be prepared for a long commitment. The garden you visited is lovely. Perennials like Phlox and Echinacea are lovely.
Oh! THey made a moon garden with all white flowers! I haven't seen one in such a long time!.
What a beautiful family day with Anna’s parents! The gardens are spectacular and those hydrangeas were the prettiest I’ve ever seen! The girls are so darling and happy. I love your interest in creating beautiful gardens on your property. Your selection of music for your vlogs is enchanting as are the vlogs themselves. The photography of the scenery is beautiful! 💕
Beautiful family day Thank you 🙏
nothing like spending quality time with family in a beautiful garden.
Thank you for sharing with us such lovely day.
What an adorable family ... and such a beautiful and inspiring place!
What a delightful outing.....and fantastic hydrangeas! As a 77-year-old gardener, I picked up a few new French ideas! I so enjoyed the music with the beach scenes...was that you playing Phillip? Tell Emma's parents that we will miss them they leave....! I am having porrage for supper tonight!
The gardens are beautiful. Those hydrangeas are ethereal. Thank you for sharing your day with us.
A beautiful garden, exquisite. Such an inspiration setting. A magical family outing for you all... ❤🇦🇺
Your garden will be beautiful soon too. It doesn’t take long for the plants to grow.
You are superb parents. What wonderful lessons you are teaching your children by bringing them to magnificent gardens to learn about nature. Bravo.
The gardens are so beautiful!!! I love the drone footage of the beach. Thanks for sharing ...
Can't wait until your gardens look like the one you went to, so beautiful! And Phillip has his donkey!! (from Sandi)
Hydrangeas lots of hydrangeas love them!!!
Phillip needs a donkey! The garden was beautiful and I can see how you’d be totally inspired. Having your parents and girls along was a nice treat for us, viewers. I did not realize your home is so close the the sea. How great is that!
What a gorgeous garden, the children are having such fun! Not to forget the adults too! Here in the South we have lots and lots of hydrangeas especially the older homes and depending on the soil the colors can change from blue to purple
The dream of a beautiful garden can be achieved in a few years and as the owner of the gardens said...it needs a master plan. You can do it Phillip!! The plants that are there are pretty hardy and it is all in how you arrange them. It would be good to have flowers blooming in each season, which again, is very possible. I used to have a large perennial garden with many of the same plants....it will be fun and well worth the effort. I am excited for the both of you. Thank you for taking us along with you today, it was beautiful!!! Thank you!! You have a beautiful family and really enjoyed seeing your daughter's enjoying the maze and the flowers. Love from Canada xoxo
Oh that garden is to die for! Absolutely stunning isn't it? Great to see you all out and about. I love Lily's telling her father what he can and can't have! She's very precise with her thoughts isn't she? Growing up fast. Lovely beach, the sort I could spend all day wandering along. Much love and big hugs xx
I could have watched 5 more hours of this video. Just lovely.
What a lovely video. Anna your parents are wonderful & your girls so sweet. Lily has quite the sense of humour, just love her personality. The look on Anna's mom's face when Philipp said there was a sign not to ring the bell. Lots of inspiration in that beautiful garden. Thank you for sharing, take really good care of yourselves, stay safe! Much love Kathy x (Ontario, Canada)
Two of my favourite things, gardens and beaches! Lots of inspiration for your chateau gardens. Thank you for taking us on such a lovely family outing🙏🏻❤️
That looks like it was a perfect day! A lovely garden for inspiration, a splendid locale for lunch, a romp on a sandy beach and great company. Lucky you!
A truly spectacular garden. The filming is of the highest quality, toutes mes félicitations.
C'est gentil, merci!
And the musical selection is perfect! Thank you! From Canada
Who needs Alan Titchmarsh when you have Anna’s Dad! You should totally have a maze!
It is my favourite garden in Normandy; we visit it very often. An exquisite place, with so many transported and rebuilt classic Norman buildings, with so many original contents. . A work of amazing talent. And two grumpy donkeys to greet you!
Ella was so cute hopping on the chicken. It’s so much fun to plan a garden…all the possibilities. Look forward to seeing your design.
Donkeys are very social, so two or more are what you need, Philipp.
Beautiful just beautiful. Thanks for the wonderful videos. 💕💕
Such beautiful gardens, thanks for taking us along with you and the family. I love that you brought the drone along for the lovely beach views.
Oh gosh, I graduated in 1985, I’m feeling old, but young at heart! What an amazing garden, love hydrangeas. You garden will look amazing once done.
Hoping you get to 100K soon. Great channel.
Anna looks like her mother. Both are lovely.
What a beautiful garden I have the butterfly tree it has been grafted with white and purple looks amazing. I CAN IMAGINE Phillip on his motorbike using it to plough up the boxed hedging plan and the donkey eating the grass save Phillip mowing the lawn . Nice to see you and your parents Anna having family time with you Phillip and your girls. Loved watching x
Beautiful gardens. It is a lot of garden for only 2 people to be tending too. Incredible people. That Hydrangea bush is breathtaking. I have never saw one that was this huge and full.. And Anna saying, "There is no Donkey Phillip." hahahaha.
Get the man a donkey!!!! He deserves one, he works so hard. xxxx
Thank you!
9:55 damn like father like daughter. This part really cracked me up. It's nice to see the interaction between phillip and the girls
What a beautiful garden.
This was a great episode. This one will garner you many subscribers. So good.
The Nutella “crepe” followed by “ that’s horrible” made me laugh so hard I’m crying.
