They did an amazing job. Another thing I forgot to mention in my first post. When you take something apart, you have a pretty good idea how to put it back together because you know what it looked like before you took it apart. But when a vehicle comes in with the front end looking like a crumpled up beer can. Rebuilding a whole new front section of a vehicle can be quite challenging, especially if its a brand new model that nobody has worked on before.
Correct boss that's why Jack Mechanic is a profession expert who's got experience in this type of work patience & time craftsmanship is the key here 💯
That's what happens whenever I try to re-assemble an engine 😂😂
There is a thing naming a diagram.
It's called repetition, you do enough of them and their basically all the same
Amazing. Never in my 25 years in a body shop hsve I seen such repairs with quality integrity and craftsmanship!
Probably you have been in just one shop in all those years
I worked as a frame and bodyman for 37yrs mostly in production shops, this was common repairs especially if the company was self insured. We also did a lot of scavenging off totaled units. Great video and craftsmanship from such a youngman.
Lol sarcasm or what? This is botched
the victims of this accident would be proud of this repair. if only they were alive...
Very impressive work, but in an accident that severe the body structure is compromised, and it can be very dangerous if it is in another crash as the crumple zones and safety system may not function properly. It' basically a death trap. I advise everyone to stay away from cars that have previously been in a crash.
Yep.. this damage is too much .. safety is compromised... this would not be allowed in Western countries with high safety standards
@@smdnsnnd7254 and shouldn't be allowed in any other country either
Think about it though. The crumple zones will crumple again in the same spot, which is the correct spot, so it’s kind of the same thing.
@@bobsmithinson2050 Yeah, but instead of X Newtons of force it will absorb X/5 Newtons of force. Not good for you, not good for the pedestrian neither, because also the pedestrian will experience a quicker negative acceleration.
I'm more concerned with the engine and the radiator. I'd bet some components took a hit. It's only a matter of time before something starts acting up.
This video was simply amazing. These young men are awesome at the Job and Im sure don’t get paid enough. But it also sets a President that too many vehicles could be repaired properly instead of junked. I want to work with these two guys. Great job guys.
Are you a fcking bot? If next owner of this car would take part in an accident he will be dead
Nope with that much damage to major chassis components that car never should have been repaired. The only reason it is happening is because labour is cheap over there
That's serious amount of time and effort. Well done. Someone buy him a welding helmet
Well spotted 🤣
😂😂Nice observation
They are too skilled for that. They close their eyes after every spot. Their hands are precise
How will it handle a second car accident
Im pretty sure he makes enough money to be able to buy one lol
This should have been totaled. But I admire the work.
I Agree, but I'll still give this video a thumbs up.
Why, because the insurance company says so?
Because of the extent of the damage. Typically if repair is more than half the value of the vehicle it’s totaled. That much repair would hit that mark.
Exactly, and this is a pretty cheap model not worth the insurance, most vehicles that require this amount of repairs in the USA are claimed as total loss.
@@squidusn71 No because at 1:47 you see how mush of the cars super structure is missing that's not a little bit that's right past the firewall all the way into the cabin too much damage, I wouldn't drive it, the frame has been too badly compromised, I really don't think this car would hold up in another serious crash, it's done it job and probably saved someone's life, don't get me wrong the workmanship is sublime and it would probably be ok in day to day driving but if someone hits you at speed would you really want to be in that car knowing the frame has taken a major shit kicking? Once you bend metal it's weak and will collapse especially under the forces at work in a high-speed crash or rollover.
I never get tired to watch you guys in action, the end result job well done. Thank you for sharing

Where do you draw the line and say... "it's not worth fixing?"
Doug's Welding & Fabrication He doesn’t know how to draw lines Hahahahahaha That’s why he keeps going
I am as surprised as you are, in reality I guess it is the insurance company and the shop. Obviously this car was almost a total loss, but I guess that the engine and transmission were OK, this is a job done by two tecnicians and as the car is so new, the only used original parts. I would estimate that repair would cost there well over $7000 there but I can be wrong, they had to pull out all the drive train and the front of the car, huge amount of work. That is a car of about $22000. Again a top notch job, great quality, almost factory quality and that is to say a lot
It's done all the time and they're being sold at barret jackson for hundreds of thousands or even millions lol.
They don't wear face shields when welding so they can't see that it's not worth fixing.... my pov only
These guys probably buy these vehicles at auctions for cheap, and repair and sell

Sem comentários .. excelente Fantástico Incrível Exemplar 🇧🇷💯👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
These guys are hands down the very best, I've ever seen!

That's amazing. I am blown away. I guess that would be a wonderful car to restore if it was a classic in the USA. But being an ordinary Nissan in the USA that would go to the scrap yards. I wonder how much time this took to accomplish?
Hey, you should wear welding helmet when welding. Just looking out for your well being, awesome repairs!

That explains the repair.

congratulations on the work, accompanying you from Brazil, make a longer video over 5 minutes is a pleasure to watch this work of art of you, they are excellent professionals even being so young shows the will power that has congratulations
Woah you’re gonna fix that?! In the US our insurance companies would just total it out and send that to the scrap yard. Awesome job btw!

so simple to watching .....but so many work, well done guys, bravo
Mechanic Jack = only one word! Amazing 😂
Absolutely awesome workmanship,so meticulous. Only question I have is,how is it cost effective to repair that amount of damage?
If the engine was salvageable and the main chassis not bent then definitely worth it. If not...
You are more likely to see these cars repaired in places with high import taxes, some places it's as high as 100%
When a used car of similar age is more expensive than a restored one, then it's worth doing. Otherwise, might as well but a used, undamaged car.
Beautiful service. Beautiful team! Greetings from Brasil. Stay safe.
Use safety equipment sir, to preserve your health. Super talented.
That’s actually really impressive well done Even though it should’ve been totaled

this is amazing guys! congratulations, great!
I must say that this is quality work at it's best and I am suggesting that you guys creates an apprenticeship system so that the future of Auto body repair continues with excellent.
The problem isn't with the lack of quality apprenticeship systems. It's the lack of good people applying with passion for this job because the pay is really low.
An average bodyman in the USA pulls in $100,000. or more a year, if you have the talent and experience.
When the chassis Damaged He will never back with the fix like when made from factory ..But Awesome work Guys
Hes an happy bloke and always smiling, even if his lungs are gonna go south and he suffers with flash in a few years time, you have one life and one body please take care of it, ps this is a write off car so regardless of the banging repair ots definitely compromised
You guys are absolutely amazing.. I cannot believe the work you do and how it comes together! Question - Is there a reason welding helments aren't used? I assume the spot welder doesn't need it?
It's called the blink technique, you blink your eyes in between welds😅
That's not a spot welder. It's an ordinary MIG/MAG welder, and they really should use a mask.
Não... Impossível.... Repara tudo, com a ferramenta certa e muita técnica .😭⚡🌟😎🇵🇹

Just subscribed to your channel and I gotta say: im impressed with the quality of the work your shop does. Here in the USA, that car would have been written off by the insurance company and eventually scrapped. Keep the vids coming.
he works in a Nissan dealership, labour cost in China is cheaper than in USA, so this type of extennsive repair is still worthy
In Europe this would be straight up illegal.

In Japan, Nissan's home country, such repairs are almost never done. When the member is bent, it will be scrapped. And there are almost no mechanics belonging to the manufacturer who can repair like this, and such repairs can only be done by a good custom builder. The salaries of general mechanics in Japan are low, but they can only replace unit parts, so a craftsman who can do such repairs is very valuable.
