David is a great boxer and he’s definitely has a great career ahead. Benavidez has great power but he needs to work on defense. People also forget that Bivol is a one of the best at light heavyweight; Canelo going up to 175 was a serious challenge for him but he’s best at 168 Canelo hasn’t been the best in his recent fights against Ryder or GGG, but David couldn’t drop Plant and lost the first 5 rounds. If Canelo does go for Bivol, it makes sense for Benavidez to go after Charlo or Smith before their showdown. This would definitely be a 50/50 fight for sure.

@Alan Espino he has fought a lot of B class fighters and fighters like ryder who was a C class fighter. And on top of that he's notorious for cherripicking opponent at the most advantageous time and on top of that add fighting older fighters and using cheap tactics like rehydration clauses and he's fought multiple fights at catchweights. And no the excuses comes from canelo fanboys, if he wins at 175 against bivol , he would be called the p4p and the best thing since sliced bread but if he loses he has a built in excuse of daring to be great and the weight was too much for him. The weight wasn't too much for him when he fought a washed up 38 year old kovalev, all I heard was praise then so why the excuses now?. That's why bivol wants the fight at 168 so canelo has no excuses and if he loses he loses all the straps, and canelo doesn't want to risk losing all the straps and getting exposed.

David is a great boxer and he’s definitely has a great career ahead. Benavidez has great power but he needs to work on defense. People also forget that Bivol is a one of the best at light heavyweight; Canelo going up to 175 was a serious challenge for him but he’s best at 168 Canelo hasn’t been the best in his recent fights against Ryder or GGG, but David couldn’t drop Plant and lost the first 5 rounds. If Canelo does go for Bivol, it makes sense for Benavidez to go after Charlo or Smith before their showdown. This would definitely be a 50/50 fight for sure.
