Thank you..I hope you continue to follow and tune in for my next build.
@@tonys_workshopOf course
Saturday breakfast will not be the same without watching you build tanks. Great attention to detail as per usual. Cheers. I think I would enjoy the build more than the play. We shall have to see.
Hi Warren, thank you. My next build starts soon so more to come. I am looking forward to getting started on my next project and hope you continue to follow.
WOW ,A job well done mate
Thanks Richard, much appreciated. Hope you join me for my next build, starting soon.
Thanks again for sharing another amazing tank build. She looks incredible.
Thank you… A little more detailing next week and then on to my next project.
Tony the tank sounds brilliant, really life like . Looking forward to the next instalment.
Hi Steve….thank you….almost there…. Next vid…finishing details and then on to my next build….hope that you continue to follow.
@@tonys_workshop will continue to follow love watching the builds .can't believe its 30oc there and here in Spain it's only 28oc
Another brilliant episode, Tony! I can't believe how quickly your model seems to have come together. All the parts for my tank including the turret (WOW!) have now arrived here and I've still got it loosely mocked up with all the main panels - now plus the turret and gun - as a trial fit. I've marked out with felt pen the casting area at the front for removal before I disassemble and begin assembly proper, so huge thanks for the tip. As you say, to discover that at a late stage of the build would be a problem. Looking forward to seeing the final weathering etc in future episodes. Cheers Keith
Hi Keith, Great to hear that you have everything you need to get on with your build. Thanks for your continued support and should you need any help, please don’t hesitate to give me a shout. Hope you continue to watch and support my next build.
Brilliant! Love that Tank. Thanks for sharing your adventure. 👍
Tony bud, hats off absolutely cracking job Pershing looking superb extra details really making it stand out Another very informative video You have built 2 tanks and i haven't even finished one🤣 Look forward to the next one
Thanks Gary…I think I have an addiction :-)
super model 👍👍👍
Thank you very much
Excellent job! Wish I could afford one, I don't live to far from the tank museum at Ft. Knox. So it would be easy to make one look the part, because of pretty much the ultimate reference i could use. Can't wait for the markings and weathering!👍
Thank you for watching and commenting. These are great kits and the build is so rewarding. Markings up next week. Hope you continue to watch and follow my next build.
😎 Very nice , just quality through out the build . Good to see it come alive and go for a drive ,well done young man 👍🎩🎩.
Thanks Steve…Hope you continue to follow…more detailing next week and then on to my next build project.
It's just amazing how the smoke and sound really bring the tank to life. You've done a brilliant job with this Tony.
Hi Russ, thank you so much…Yes AT have excelled themselves on this kit. I really hope that you continue to follow my channel and watch my next build.
@@tonys_workshop Tony, I'll be there with bells on buddy, you are officially my Saturday morning viewing with a brew. You'll have to let people know if you go to shows, sure people would love to see the tanks in the flesh as it were and say hi to you. Have a great weekend.
Well done mate. Watched every episode. And it is great to see from a bunch of boxes and parts to a working and functioning tank. Bravo :)
Thank you and thanks also for following the entire build. Some final touches next week and then on to my next build. Hope you continue to watch and follow.
That looks absolutely stunning, I've been collecting 1/6 scale ww1 and ww2 figures for years. Those tanks would be an excellent addition to my collection if I could afford one, maybe one day 😊
Well start saving up, put a little money aside each month. Within a few years, you'll be able to afford it. But you have to save or its a no.
Or remortgage the house 😅
Hi Jason…that is where I started…. I know these kits are expensive, but they do retain a second hand good value…so the way I look at it is that they are an investment that you gain so much from the investment of time and patience.
@@tonys_workshop lots of saving but worth it in the end 👍
The layout is amazing! The sound is amazing! Well done, sir! Just finished watching the video, I loved watching it go around. Absolutely amazing! Thank you for sharing this with everyone. I'm looking forward to what's coming next. Cheers!
Thanks Michael. I am really pleased how this part of the build went. The sound is amazing and thats before I turn the volume up. Hope you continue to watch and follow my next build.
@@tonys_workshopYou can count on it.
Congrats on the new edition to the family! She's a real beaut!
Thank you…I am really pleased how this build turned out. Some finishing touches next week and then on to my new build soon after. Hope you continue to watch and follow.
@@tonys_workshop looking forward to watching the next build!
Looks fantastic so far, I have really enjoyed following your progress on both your Tiger and now Pershing projects. Thanks for sharing them with us!
Thank you. Next build project starting soon and hope you continue to watch and follow.
@@tonys_workshop I certainly will, very much looking forward to seeing whatever comes next.
Привет из России! Классный вы человек,трудолюбивый!!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you and greetings from the UK…really appreciate the kind words and support….hope you continue to watch and follow my next build.
excellent video as usual and the tank looks amazing , looking forward to seeing the weathered look and seeing it next to the tiger
Well done Tony, fantastic build series so far, I have thoroughly enjoyed following the build. Can't wait to see what your next project is.. Thankyou for sharing your video's.
Thanks Brian, much appreciated. A little more detailing up tomorrow and then on to my next project.
Hello again Tony! Sorry its been a while since I last commented on your videos (but I never miss them be sure of that). And your Pershing has really turned out great (as expected). But now I think the real cool part comes when you will be able to put your personal touch on it. I know you started with the cloth piece which looks awesome, but looking forward to the 50 cal whatever whashing, grime, or paint you will add to truly make it a Tony Tank. At the same time cant believe its all coming to an end. Hope you find a way to keep building these kits. Gotta have my Tony saturday mornin's eh. Keep it up //Kris
Thanks Kris. Great to hear from you. I guess by now you have seen the finished tank. I am waiting for delivery of the MG crew animatronic operator and will show it off when fully complete. My next build is starting soon. Unboxing video hopefully up this weekend.
@@tonys_workshop omg next build? Cant WAIT!
The Pershing looks really impressive my only surprise was the lack of gun recoil. Again an excellent video full of useful details thanks Tony.
Hi Keith, thank you. There is recoil, but it could be better, I agree, it was the same on the Tiger and I have checked with other builders and they all have the same operational aspect. I would love it if AT could develop a system that actually rocked the Tank back on recoil…how cool would that be?
Hi Tony, love your work😊 I have had my eye on one of these kits for a good many years but not been in a position to buy one. After watching your build videos I have taken the plunge and ordered the new 2023 Tiger 1. Thanks for the inspiration and helping me to finally take the plunge with one of these amazing kits.
Thank you. I am glad that you took the plunge…you will not regret it…The Tiger kit is awesome. Did you tell Armortek that it was my channel that inspired you to get into this’d incredible hobby? Hope my Tiger build helps, as they are similar especially setting up the Torsion bars system. If you get stuck on the build let me know and I will try and help.
Thanks Tony, I will mention it to Monique at my next opportunity 😊
I'm into german armour and hope one day to get a Stug, but your Pershing looks fantastic
Thanks… if you like German armour, then you must tune into my next build…starting real soon.
@@tonys_workshop I will
Hi Tony. Nice to see the M26 fully constructed. Just finished mine a couple of days ago, weathering and all. Kind of sad it is done! Thinking about another. A couple quick questions for you: on the mudguards, are you not putting on the screws on the mudguards that go in between the storage boxes? They add a lot of support. And also, on the T-plate as we refer to it, the four screws that you secured it to the turret ring plate, it seems you were able to just screw them into threaded holes. On mine, there are nuts underneath that had to be held in place. Maybe you glued them on? I have tried superglue in situations like that, but found it cannot handle a lot of torque before they break loose. I soldered the nuts on the backside of the mudguards on mine since I did not trust glue. I hope yours holds up. Final pics of mine on the forum. Looking forward to your side by side comparison of your Tiger and M26.
Hi Ray, Thanks for commenting. Additional fixings for Mudguards have been installed off camera. The plate from the turret support which helps supports the ‘T’ plate on mine had threaded holes for the fixings. Have you checked the way this was installed? I glued the nuts on the rear face of the mudguards and this worked out well for me. Like you, sad that the build is complete, but really enjoying driving this incredible beast. I have committed to my next build, which will start real soon. Hope all is well. I will check out the forum to see your completed build.

On the mudguards, I didn't think you would forget those screws as you have been very meticulous about the build. On the T-Plate connection, I don't see how it could be installed improperly, and since it is in the tank I can't look at at it now. But even if the attachment plate with the four holes was flipped upside down from how I installed it, the bolts went right through to the bottom. Maybe mine was an error in the part (remember I had holes in the hull that were not threaded but other builders had the threads on theirs) or they made a running change. In any case, having threads would have been a welcome addition.@@tonys_workshop
looking at what parts you have for the exhaust i would suggest that a short piece of the hose then the t piece so that you can extend the manifold left and right out then the 90 degree bends to the exhaust outlets
Hi Alex, now that would have been a better way to do it…I may go on to change that. Thank you.
@tonys_workshop this is how it's normally set up at the factory.
Have you realised one of the tracks is on 180 to the other so the tread pattern is backwards on one side? That would bug me! 😂 Very nice build though, have enjoyed watching it.
Hi and thank you for watching and following. Yes, I know…..I set the tracks up as I did on the Tiger. The German crews used to swap the direction around for better performance….Although the US crews would not do that, I set them up the same…The tank performs perfectly as it is, but a great spot and thanks again for watching…Hope you watch my new build starting soon.
Good job as always. Did you have the same trouble sinking the sounds with the tiger? I hope not cause I don't think I can get anyone from Armortek over here to help me!
Hi David, Thank you. You will be ok on the Tiger. The synchronisation on the sound is quite straight forward, but do this before you install everything in the tank hull. You have lots of room in the Tiger hull so the speakers will not cancel each other out.
Tony, thanks for another brilliant video. My M26 kit has arrived here in Florida and can not wait to begin. Have been trying to determine a brand/model of a lift table to purchase. What brand and model do you have? Thank you, Ed
Hi Ed, You must be relieved to have your kit now…You will absolutely love the build process…I have a scissor table lift by ‘Slingsby’ The motorcycle jack is by “Clark’ I think these are both UK suppliers but also have an international set up. Enjoy the build and if you get stuck on anything, let me know and I will try and help.
Congratulations on completing it, Tony. I think there was a lot of work and trial and error. That being said, you have worked so hard in such a short period of time. I'm looking forward to the final form with markings, weathering, and accessories next time. I work at my own pace, but I will do my best to create Armortek. I'm interested in the next project, but before that, I'm looking forward to the next one.
Thank you…that means a lot to me….I am happy that you found this series interesting. Some detailing next week and then on to my next build project. Hope you continue to follow.
Hi Tony, just a small observation. Is one of the tracks on the wrong way round? The track patterns dont match each other in direction. Loved watching your build journey for the Pershing.
Hi and well spotted…I did this intentionally as I did on the Tiger….Some German crews would swap the tracks around to assist in performance…The jury is out on whether this actually improved the turning performance, but I decided to do the same. I applied the same rationale to the M26. Thanks for watching and following and I hope you continue to follow my next build starting soon.
Hi Tony, an interesting rationale and attention to detail regarding track direction. I don’t know if you have come across an industrial glue made by UHU, it’s called Einfest 300, it’s not quite as quick as superglue, but is extremely strong once set and may be of use where more strength is required. I use it a lot making the 1:8 scale models I build from scratch an example is on KZhead - RC DAF Armee Truck Model KZhead. Let me know if you need more info on the glue process. Kind regards, Tony
Thanks, I will definitely check that out, thanks for the heads up.
Tanks For The Memories: So now you have a complete 3D scale reminder of the M26 Pershing. She came late into WWII appearing in November 1944 but then continued to appear on European battlefields until the end of the war. The M26 Pershing actually saw most of her combat during the Korean War 1950-53, there's plenty of info online. Overall, a great build, it looks to be an excellent model, initially expensive but you get a helluva lot of tank for your money.
Thank you… yes this was a great tank, but brought into service too late in WW2….but defo achieved later respect post WW2…. I love that AT have paid real respect to this little known incredible tech. I hope that you continue to watch and follow my next build.
Impressive!! What is the approx. weight of these size tanks?
Hi William and thanks for watching and commenting. Each tank varies, but the M26 is approx 90Kg with the batteries and option packs and is approx 142cm in length. The Tiger on the other hand is approx 120kg with batteries and option packs and comes in a little shorter at approx 137cm. Hope this answers your question.
Where can I find this tank for purchase I'm interested in buying an m-26
Hi, and thank you for watching and commenting. You can purchase this from Armortek, a company based here in the UK, but they ship across the world. Google 'Armortek' and you will find them. Pretty sure they still have some M26 kits still in stock. They follow my channel, so please free to mention that you found them through watching my videos. Hope you do end up getting one of these kits, the experience of building them is incredible.
@tonys_workshop not for me its accually for my husband he operates leopard tanks as a loader driver or gunner I did see the sight thanks but there close to $12,000 canadian so idk atm it's nice but $$$$
They are expensive, but thank you for contacting me. Best regards, Tony
