  • My favourite concpiracy theory comes from two old ladies I passed on the street. Lady 1: "So, my husband says that all this Corona thing started because Trump used a bioweapon on China. To weaken their economy, you know?" Lady 2: "Then why do the US have so much Corona?" Lady 1: "It's Trump, you really think he thought that far ahead?"

    • ...Well... Generally speaking, if Trump is accusing someone of doing something, it's because he does/did it. So, with Trump accusing China of releasing it from a lab in Wuhan, maybe that's because that's what he did.

    • @@PhaZeUnleashed Radiation is simply a term for how things radiate. Light radiates so it's radiation. Heat radiates so it's radiation. Microwaves are not *ionizing* radiation so there's no chance of them causing cancer. They just excite the water molecules in your food which results in them heating up faster. That's it. Radiation does not mean "ionizing nuclear radiation" which is the bad stuff.

  • At one point I was hospitalized with what the emergency room initially thought was spinal meningitis which is very contagious. I was IMMEDIATELY told to put on a mask and not to take it off for anything, and then I was stuck in a room by myself just waiting until a doctor could see me. That was in 2011. It turned out I just had a hell of a mixed tension migraine but because I also have dysautonomia, my nervous system went bananas and gave me a fever of 104 which is why they thought I probably had meningitis. It's not like they were idiots, my body just does really strange things. The point is that I was immediately isolated from everyone in that hospital. I wasn't in line somewhere, or in a waiting room. I had to put on a mask and sit in what was essentially a broom closet by myself until specialists had time to give me a spinal tap and CT scan to make sure that I did not in fact have spinal meningitis. But this dude here thinks that people are just going to be waiting in a giant room? All together? Ok bud. Dumb as a rock. My apologies; rocks are clearly highly intelligent compared to that dude.

The term conspiracy theory was created by the CIA to make people avoid the truth. Key thing to remember is that both of our political parties are completely bought and owned by corporate interests and the military industrial complex. That's why we can't have universal healthcare in the middle of a pandemic during a Democrat presidency with a Democratic majority in Congress. I'm surprised he even got the troops out of Afghanistan after the media's fake nonsense over "women's rights". In all my 20 years of watching that war unfold I never heard the media voicing concern for women's rights in Saudi Arabia because in Saudi Arabia women are stoned to death for infidelity but they're one of our biggest allies so whatever right?

Apparently believing the Earth is round causes people to doubt the existence of God. This will make us all susceptible to trusting everything scientists say, without question, and will enable whatever evil powers are leading us astray to have total control over us. All I could think of was the minister's daughter I met once, who said 'Dinosaurs never existed. The devil put the fossils there to confuse us'. Yeah like science is more effective than religion at brainwashing people.

I honestly thought they would have learned after the tide pods debacle of 2017 but they are still out there making terrible decisions. If every American had masked up practiced social distancing and we had a uniform complete lockdown for the first 2-3 months of this pandemic we would have beaten this virus with a lot less infections, deaths, and now the reversal of those said reopenings in some states. People need to realize this is a health crisis, worse than any other crisis we have ever had in our lifetimes but we can get through it if we all work together in fighting this virus.

Because there could be something we are collectively missing, technology might come along to expose a factor that would turn our theory on its head, know matter how sure we are, we will never say “I can tell you that this is 100% true”, unfortunately this is exactly what bad faith actors cling onto push their bullshit- & nobody seems to question why the expert “isn’t sure” but the rando with an interest in the opposing view _is_ sure & it drives me absolutely crazy 😫
