    • Can you imagine if it wasn't a joke, and there was someone who just avoided feeling bad about themself by just focusing on som-- or better yet, what if like it was a HUGE segment of the population that avoided their own feelings of inadequacy and disenfranchisement by focusing their attention on a single person they envisioned as valuable, loved, and able to accomplish anything he said he could?!! But, I mean, that's not realistically something that could ever happen.

    • @@MarcillaSmith Isn't this what parents do to some extend? Putting their hopes and dreams in someone else. Maybe good friends do it aswell. At least it helps to know the people you love are doing good. Personally I tend to focus more on other peoples around me being happy, because thats the easiest way for me to feel happy, too. So i think it is very realistic something like that happens all the time. It just doesn't work 100%. You can't completely forget about yourself. The selfpreserving part of you is way to strong.
