If Trent was in this video, the amount of tension and anger in it would have averaged out to zero.
I believe that was a strategic decision. He’s simply too calming
Have we seen a raging trent? I'm scared to see him mad
@@csvscsyeah, that one time he threw Joel off a cliff and basically into the sun! Classic Trent!
this is the "when Trent's on vacation" type of sketch
Trent was busy playing Stardew Valley
i don't know why but Blake dribbling the basketball as he walks up to Joel got me so good haha
I thought he was doing that so Joel asks him not to do that so Blake can get angry. Close enough
That was intense AF
What are you doing here ratman?
Hello Yervington, scurrying about as usual I see
it was histerical
This is quite possibly the greatest advertisement for that one scene in Marriage Story where Adam Driver's character loses his cool and his acting is totally awesome.
I've never seen the movie but now I gotta and I'm gonna.
@@grabble7605it’s actually a great movie.
@@grabble7605it’s very good! That one scene is very funny too
yeah... wait wdym he was acting
Love that this skit is based on just one scene
That's fair, pretty sure everyone's love for Marriage Story is based on that one scene, too. (I do not like Marriage Story.)
@@taffy55I think people like it because it's a compelling movie, lmao. That's a bad hypothesis.
no, there's also the tying the shoe
@@commaJimI dunno, pessimistic take but there might be something there 🤔 not worth dismissing on its face anyhow
@@taffy55liked the movie and forgot this scene happened, the breakup arguments and reasons felt pretty real
Those two snotshots at the end there are a cinematic wonder. Thank you for your service, Joel.
He took acting lessons from Jennifer Hudson (from critically acclaimed film, Cats)
Thought exactly the same thing, he managed to do a cartoon cliché in real life
man i just wish you had a 3rd comment at the top
CGI
they will haunt me in my dreams
Everyone’s reactions to his tantrums are the exact same as Scarlet Johansson’s from Marriage Story and I love it
good job you got the skit
Joel should scream at his weak wrists
What an exceptional performance, I will make sure to loop this for the next week
make sure not to loop all the way to basketball part, two chair flips max.
Actually the chair flip is my favorite part
"Does anyone have an idea for this week's sketch?" Joel: "I want to scream the meanest things I can think of at you and make you cry." "We can make that work." Joel: "Make what work?"
Yelling is the most truest form of acting. Therefore Joel gets the Oscar.
I made Joel tea when we started filming to help his throat. It worked
Must have really worked for sure! Hope you had some too, cause you brought the rage in the end too.
no matter how many times that chair gets flipped, it always picks itself back up. the chair deserves an award
How did you manage this without completely killing your vocal cords?
I initially thought they were going to use the intervention to make him yell enough for him to lose his voice.
For what we know he did.
@@rogueturnip3 thats good
how did he manage 9.8k views in under 50 min? which India bot service does Joel Haver use? pretty obvious from all the "glowing praise" on this campy sh*t amateur live action fodder. *ANIMATIONS ONLY PLZ!*
Maybe he did
2:47 is the mostly adorable chair flip i have ever seen in my life edit: I'm glad they did it several more times.
I only wish to remix the audio of the chair to a squaker toy. The weak wrists making no sound when hitting the wall is perfection
I don't know what it was about this video, but those screaming scenes really made Joel look talented and good at acting
Joel is good
"Do you like your lunch?" Lmfao
Blake's little smirk on his knees, Joel's boogery mess, the god damn chair. So many great bits in this amazing video
the smirk lmao
I've rewatched this like 50 times, it's so good
The video could have used a little type c humor
4:28 I didn't finish the video because that scene was so good. I just kept rewatching it and I liked the part where Joel was angry, cause he looked really talented and good at acting.
Good to see Dax, hope he's doing alright. Good video Joel!
so happy to see dax as well
hes been in alot of videos with joel and his friends recently
This is actually a healthy method of communication, and we can learn a lot from various performances in film media. For more strategies for positive emotional sharing, I recommend Robert De Niro in "Taxi Driver" and Bryan Cranston in "Breaking Bad."
In non-joke terms, sometimes people are so boiled up and unable to express themselves that a shouting fit is the absolute best outcome versus what may come after.
Oh boy
I love how they all sit on the tiny piano bench when an entire bed is available 😂
Joel made Dax cry, I've never been so upset frankly I might weak wristedly punch a wall
I don't know if it's like really quick edits or if Joel is just moving this fast, but the IMMEDIATE shift to rage makes me laugh every time
This is pretty much the entire plot of Free Guy
Can we just all take a moment and recognize the incredible performance by the office chair? Each time it was flipped, it was so powerful, the raw emotion and talent. Easily the chairs best performance, ever.
I can't wait for the plethora of roles that Joel's mucus will get after this.
The camera is sure lovin' that mucus huh
I just finished watching your movie 'drowning in potential' and it was really good 👍
Aww thank you, thanks for checking it out :)
I caught a Joel Haver classic just as it was uploaded? Blessed day, this is.
Can we just commend the chair? 🪑👏 It’s performance was exquisite!!
Joel. When you screamed....I felt that. It was perfect. I want to one day be able to insult like that when angry. Thank you for showing us your prowess in acting. Truly.
It's disturbing your newest ambition is to make people cry
@@AamuAurora it's not an ambition.....it's a dream.
@@AamuAurora Is a joke

Guy who becomes abusive husband only after watching marriage story
I liked the part where Joel was angry, because he looked very talented, and good at acting. Very raw performance, arguably career-best.
semi-circle formation? that was def a right angle…
When someone asks how was my relationship with my father I'll just link them this video
Do you flip the chair or does your father? 🤔
The fact the he dribbles the basketball and then takes one step while holding it is so funny to me, because he’s following the rules of basketball for no reason, and that’s the kind of high brow comedy I expect from a classic Joel Haver short film
How does Joel pinpoint strange moments or phases of my life like this.
holy shit i LOVE to see nick in a new jh video, this was killer!!! need to get that man back behind the sound design sometimes!
did you like your lunch?
Some incredible acting from the chair there
I REALLY liked the scene where Joel got really angry. He seems like such a talented actor!
natharie really delivered on the sound design for those chair throws
It's about God damn time we get more Marriage Story-adjacent content!
A rare look behind the scenes at how Joel actually talks to everyone, just like Tom Hanks.
Bless you Joel. Your're always a treat.
I like how Brittany is immediately teary when Joel flips
This is so freakin funny, thank you Joel for your artistic vision (as well as the others who took part and helped)
I love how raw and believable all of these performances are. Someone install me an air conditioner please, things got heated up, guys, wow.
Blake's part at the end really took it to the next level!
So much snot, saliva and tears. This is real acting. 10/10 for the drama.
i too make the last movie i saw part of my personality sometimes, so relatable
I loved that joel just made a skit to justify berating his friends.
Love the skits! Keep up the great work Joel and crew!!!
I was really impressed with Joel's acting in this. He's really good at yelling
One thing I love about Joel’s videos in imagining him coming up with the ideas as he’s watching something
Love your stuff, Joel!
Thank you as always Joel, I needed this.
I really hate when that's happen, but it's great that you guys are raising awarenes
This is why I'm determined to never get married or have any stories.
This is the way.
I love the way Joel flips the chair and then it's just completely upright when he goes to sit down again. 😂
This was lowkey an emotional roller coaster. 100/100 cinematic masterpiece best movie I’ve ever seen #1 in my top 10 would recommend to everyone
every week you deliver me smiles
I love how difficult it is for Joel to do this without wanting to burst out laughing at the same time, you can sense it!
I've been watching your videos for years now, and I don't know what it is but I think this might be the best acting I've seen in any of them. The absolute power you command with just your voice is astounding.
Dude this is good, really good energy from everyone
Incredible, I'm such a big fan of Joel's performance
I felt abused watching this video, Joel.
This video had me smiling the whole way through, thanks joel
This is so good!
Joel is a creative and comedic genius.
The timing is perfect 👌 I love what you did with the sound of the yelling starting before seeing the face
Powerful stuff!
I was like: "Oh cool, a new Joel video, will be a nice break to relax a bit from studying". 3 minutes in and I'm going back to studying to relax a bit from the video...
This is amazing
Hermoso, subido hace 4 minutos. Que bueno que es este tipo, gracias Joel!!
It looks like they're crying when he yells at them, but its actually just Joel's spit getting in their eyes.
the absolute raw talent on display here is mesmerising, I've got this video on loop
you guys are so good!
I think out of all the vids you do, the ones where the overall theme is the roommates hanging out is my favorite.
Awesome video! Dax is always awesome to see
Really glad you came back after that land mine incident Joel. Sure would miss these videos.
I love it when you can actually dissolve in the content for a 6 minutes. Thank you
One of your best yet
Brilliant. Great acting and you all looked very talented and angry.
this is one of the greatest videos i've seen on the entire website
Top notch as always
This skit got me so good, definitely a new favorite of mine
"...AND YOUR GRAND-CHILDREN ARE THEREFORE... DESTITUTE!!!" Was the best line ever, and I have too many good things to say about it, and none of them amount to my appreciation for that moment.
It's absolutely killing me how the chair is still midair when he starts screaming. Excellent editing choice
This is such a masterpiece
another banger from joel
This feeds my cold dark heart. 🖤
The creativity of this video is beyond anything anyone could create. Joel and his friend's are amazing in this.
a MASTERPIECE, as always
Joel looked really talented and good at acting in this short film. I will absolutely be looping this performance in my room over and over.
Joel is giving serious “I’m not secretly a serial killer” vibes and he plays it’s perfect
I watched „he watched Marriage Story this week“ this week
That chair flip was full of all the emotion of a middle aged father with anger issues.
His videos are like movies they contain so much and I can never expect what he is going to show me in this video was beautiful, especially with the end. Top-notch.
Good going Joel, you made me AND my kid cry!! I hope you’re happy mister
I love how gentle that furious chair flip is :D
I absolutely love watching dax and joel interact. Joel you are a fantastic creator and its going to be crazy to see you make some billion dollar movie in a few years.
“I LIKE THE PRT WHERE HE WAS ANGRY BECAUSE HE LOOKED REALLY TALENTED AND GOOD AT ACTING”
