  • I joined Somalia National Army in 2013 (SNA) serving my country for 8 yrs in active combats liberating territories holding by the terrorists al-shabaab, It was that time when US Bancroft security company began recruiting Somalia's military and trained in Balidoogle military base, i visited several times during an operation, despite Danab been trained, it's also financed their salary by United States Pentagon budgets of counter terrorism, the intelligence is helped by American troops, they have advance technology like nightfish, drones, aircrafts, some of my relatives and close friends were among these hardcore forces, i resemble DANAB them as AZOV Brigade of Ukraine, they never surrender and retreats their positions, American army gave them an extraordinary training and got Much combat experiences, i left and resigned for my own decision after longtime of war experience, thank you Simon well analyzed really always i appreciate your hardwork.

After 8 years omg y'all didn't defeat them and then you want to speak on what you did and how you retired madness yo wlhi 😅 when you officially win then speak on it my guy. For example look at your neighboring country #Somaliland they are true warriors who stay quite until every mission is completed. You need training on how to be a warriors but only once you admit you've been sitting in my chair & you get on your knees and apologize and appreciate that we didn't make things even harder for y'all but instead choose to leave it in Godswill. Then we can help your failed state learn a lil something about how it's done haha😂😂😂

    • Listen, to my Somali people DON’T let these western propaganda fool you into abandoning your ancestral lineage. They practice tribalism in the form of politics affiliation (democrats vs republicans), gangs, sport teams, or repping one’s city or state in western countries. Tribalism is like a vehicle, you can either use it correctly as God Almighty intended it by getting to your destination or you can misuse it by running people over it. Also, joining a western military unit is a TRIBALISM on itself but I guess the hypocrisy is loss at people. Remember, Somalis are ONE tribe with different clans. Also, ask yourself a simple question, if the America is supposedly a “democracy” then WHY does Congress and many of their institutions have LOW approval rating? Congress has a DISPROVAL rating of 80% by the average American. So how can the U.S government claim to be a “beacon of freedom” when they don’t even represent the will of the American citizen? They hate on Somalia 🇸🇴 because we aren’t afraid of them to tell them the truth while other Africans walk around them like eggshells. Every empire/nation has their ups and downs. Insha’Allah Somalia 🇸🇴 will RISE once again. It’s inevitable.

  • Danab give me hope for Somalia. Their resolve, and ability to transfer it to the people they protect is what's most important here. But as Simon said, it's not the only thing needed. When those villiages and water towers get destroyed, who's going to rebuild them? With what material? From where? The government as well is just complacent and would need to be overhauled before Somalia can be at peace. Of course there's always the possibility of Danab leading a military coup, which wouldn't do the nation any favors. Danab will have to show restraint in this department, they must understand that they exist to punish the wicked, not to take their place. Still, for what little material they have, they are proving effectiveness. And that alone is a miracle for a country divided by corruption and tribalism.

You need to understand Somalis are a very stubborn and prideful people, they will choose death before submission. I think it’s mostly to do with our nomadic roots, nomads are typically a lot more belligerent compared to agriculturalists. They must be for survival, if a predator kills your herd, you and your family will starve, if you allow people to steal from you, you and your family will starve, if you don’t get your animals to grazing land, you and your family will starve, if people are claiming a well and you don’t fight for the water rights of your camels, you and your family will starve. this kind of life create tough resilient people. Compared to an agriculturalist who has access to food all year round. Most agriculturalists are pretty peace loving. While Somalis romanticise warfare and confrontation. We love it to an extent.

Was Afghanistan really a failure, or was it more about the people they were training just not willing to do what it took to defend their country, government, and way of life that was fought for to gain? After all, the leader of Afghanistan's government was on one of the first planes out of the country and the military dissolved within days after the US began pulling out.

    • I can't give anything other than second hand anecdotal evidence, but from what I understand, the Afghan people didn't really see themselves as part of a country. They focused more on their local village than the idea of this unified identity. The same person I heard this from suggests the Taliban aren't even in full control. They control Kabul, and have a voice of authority, but theirs isn't the only voice. TL;DR A country only exists if the people believe in it.

They're not actually big on conservancy either, because Republicans. Speaking of the politics there are shit and not something *anyone* should want or aspire to. Oh, and as sea levels rise, it'll find itself underwater in the coming decades. It's also not an important shipping area or port, so that's a thing. Florida is just the place for tourists, retirees, and one of the places we grow citrus. But California is rapidly overtaking Florida's citrus production. And soon there won't be anywhere for tourists or retirees to go to. If anything, you'll want Somalia to be more like California. Home to major shipping lanes and ports. Actually care about the environment. Grows a decent amount of food. Has tourism to as one aspect of its economy. Enough land high enough above sea level it won't be completely inundated with rising sea levels. Also much better politics. California actually cares about its citizens. Furthermore, if Cali was its own country, it would be the 5th largest GDP in the world. So yeah, Florida has *far* too many issues.
